Hughie tearing up Vought’s check is almost definitely the moment Butcher decided he wanted him in the Boys. He was already probably making an effort to be gentler with Hughie then he is with most accomplices considering how much seeing someone so much like Lenny lose his girl to a Supe just like he hit close to home, but seeing someone that reminds him of the brother that was the one person he trusted to criticise him hating supes enough to refuse entertaining even the slightest comprise with them must have felt ridiculously vindicating. I think Butcher brought Hughie onto the team because he thought having somebody who hates Supes as much he does while also being much easier to trust could convince the old crew to go to extremes they’d refused to beforehand. Though ironically Hughie reacted to the Boys’ methods the same way Lenny probably would; convincing them to be less quick to violence as the first solution and more open to the possibility of Supe allies.

the cut scene is from season 2 episode 5
And this is why they are the boys
Literally the definition of being bros 😭
The thumbnail is epic dude
Butcher has more aura then any actor in the world. Bro he seems like he really doesnt act.
Can we all say all the actors in this show are doing an amazing job
Punches of Love
It's even more sad that Billy sees Hughie as his brother😢 Even before what happened to Becca Billy always had a dark past😢

25:49 You Chekhov's'd your editing with the grayscale and white text earlier with copyright as the excuse only to lay this avalanche of comedy on me in the same format for absolutely no reason. I lost it for a good two minutes. fucking beautiful, man. Your sense of pacing is immaculate.
