I didn't realize that he's Arnold Schwarzenegger's son until seeing some of the comments here. This kid is phenomenal at acting, and usually kids of very famous actors can't act as well
Well it's sadly true, some famous kids do it bcs they have the privilege and advantageous routes to acting bcs of their famous parents and don't reach that level of commitment to acting, and some were probably even pressured to live up to their parent's legacy so they decided to do them. Quite few nepos like Patrick genuinely hone their craft for acting bcs that's what they're passionate about and actually took their serious effort and dedication to perform. But all I can say is the old generation of nepo actors serves much better than the ones we have in the newer generation. Not only acting, but just celeb nepos overall.
On the thumbnail, if you look closely, Patrick really does resemble his dad.

Nepo babies are so often talentless and just riding off their parents' success. Patrick Schwarzeneggar and Jack Quaid from the main show are both nepo babies but they're also very talented and deserving actors in their own right
Luke deserved so much better. He was the true victim of the show. I'd like to think that at the moment he went to kill Brink he was already aware Cate was a part of that shit and manipulated his mind making him believe Sam died
Also the fact that Cate was secretly fucking Andre really pissed me off. It seemed like everyone he trusted had betrayed him, and now even the last person he confided in(andre) was betraying him too.

@@SuperRONDALE what I mean is Luke is the only character in Gen V who never acted for selfish reasons, backstabbed anyone or became corrupted. Everyone in his social circule somehow betrayed him. Outside of his parents by forcing him to be injected with Compound V, Brink forced Luke to be a subject for experiments in The Woods and lied about it, Cate, his girlfriend, covered up everything by erasing his memory even making him believe Sam died. Andre, his best friend, betrayed Luke by sleeping with Cate, Jordan betrayed Luke by knocking him out and covered up those incidents with Brink, not to mention Indira.
Everyone Luke loved and trusted eventually betrayed him

As someone who was born in the 90s, watched movies of the 80s, a time when Arnold Schwarzenegger was an icon and had so many iconic, classic movies. I'm so happy to see his son is also building up a career in acting just like he did and his son is doing a good job at it and getting decent roles to play.

@@Katunnu101 Getting hired through connections is the norm in the Hollywood industry. That's actually how people in the industry often get hired. In any business actually. That's just called social networking were you build your career not only with your skills and talents but also getting close to people who are veterans in your field of work. Whether it's the entertainment, manufacturing, or commerce, if you want to get successful in life, you gotta have good connections and use those advantages otherwise, you'll find it more difficult to achieve your goals without social networking. I can see that you're a fan of basketball based on your profile pic. Even all of NBA players went through some form of social networking in order to get to where they are now. From getting close to good agents and managers to getting good sponsors, there's always some form of finding and building connections with those who are already at top of the economic hierarchy.

Its pretty fucked up that Golden Boy was seemingly a good person, and not a stereotypical college bully. Yet he died almost being cheated by everyone. He was betrayed by Brink, Cate, Andre and for the only person that didn’t betray him(Jordan), Luke suspected them of betraying him.

Jordan definitely did betray him. They knew the whole time that Luke was being experimented on to juice his powers.
Wrong. Episode 6 confirmed that Jordan also betrayed him, Jordan were aware the experiments Luke suffered, although only to an extension. Literally everyone he loved and trusted ended up backstabbing him. His parents, his mentor, his girlfriend and his two best friends. So it makes sense he snapped and collapsed

The more episodes you watch you realize he was this shows Starlight. A good hearted kid that actually cares about people, not just using them.

Both shows are great and have entertaining fight scenes but they could really use a good fight choreographer. Also crazy how Jordan v Golden Boy did more damage than Soldier Boy v Homelander.
Edit: the bad fight scenes are because of bad choreography not because of the level of fighting skill the character has
I agree they do need a better fight choreographer. Although it is a little tough to manage actual super powers like theirs. They’re like X-Men on steroids. For a TV show it’s not terrible but it does need work i agree.
Yeah, I agree they could use better fight scenes but honestly in certain ways you could say that they’re young and that these guys are obviously still training to become hero so they’re fighting skills. Do you need work?

@@JavierMartinez-oj3rg Also, since heroes in The Boys Universe are not the same as like Marvel or DC heroes, most aren't trying to protect the innocent, so it would make a lot of sense that the stronger ones wouldn't be able to fight like Captain America or like Batman since there are very few people that could actually hurt them so fight training wouldn't really be necessary

I thought maybe it was just getting caught red handed committing murder that drove him to suicide , coupled with Cate's mindf**kery. He wasn't acting rationally , murdering Brink (during school hours in his office) wasn't a smart solution to his or his brother's situation. But was he being mind controlled when he killed Brink?

Regardless how good this series is, I still don't like the decision to just dispose of Clancy in the first episode, he had SO much potential and was great for however short he got to play him. Hopefully he comes back as an overarching flashback villain.

I think that’s why they killed him though. Kinda for shock value. He’s so good at playing villains you would never expect for him to be killed off so early.

Hollywood seems very fractured from the media but despite the overall mood Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kurt Russel’s sons are decent actors, good to see them taking rolls that take thought, nor just riding the fame of their fathers.

I think its because Cate made him forget about his brother but they said last episode the memories kept coming back, I assume because of his strength. So maybe he was already at a point where didn’t know what to believe anymore and went crazy. Either that or there’s still some info missing we don’t know yet?

He probably didn't have traditional hero ethics and probably had a screwed up psyche from Cate messing with his brain.
