Great turbo whistle when camera looking back!
I know what you mean, it is a great feeling to be able to help mates out. I've spent the last few days trying to repair a (disabled) friends stair-lift. Never touch one before so it was a hell of a learning curve ... got it fix though. A good result all round.
Didn’t realize how close you actually are to me and recognize some of our company trucks I. The videos. Love the channel, keep the variety coming👌
Your channel gets better and better. Just bought my third bit of rusty old diesel kit today as building a new road into my farm - find your stuff inspirational!
Of course Matt, we want to see it fixed and preped ! As a "not so bad" DIYer, I love seeing resurrected machines ! 👍
I could watch you and the dog play all day long. It is so obvious he/she loves to play with that ball...and you!
That paintjob had me worried. It was a clear case of "let's polish this turd to get a few extra bucks out of it". Overspray in the engine bay is usually a good indicator. I hope it turns out to be a solid machine, but with the information we now have, I have my doubts. Would be interested in seeing a follow up though.
The ol' DuPont rebuild! I've got a machine that had a paintjob like that a while back, I think the buyer repainted it to match their other machines and didn't do a great job. I bought it with 11 hours on the meter, based on wear that was either a true reading or very close.
@@Porty1119 Yeah that's a possibility as well of course. This could very well be a case of "Well I can't come to a job with a rusty ratty looking machine, let's just give it a quick paint job". Most customers aren't gonna see it up close anyway, so it doesn't have to be that good. If there's one thing I've learned from watching many, many people on RUclips buy machinery though, it's that this kind of paint job should make you triple check everything.
We call that an 'aerosol overhaul,'
Actually that's how all heavy equipment is painted
Don't believe me? Ask Johnathan W.
This is just a comment to boost your RUclips algorithm! I have nothing else to write. Have a beautiful day ,-)
Matt I love your channel, mainly because of the variety. Thanks for bringing us along for the ride.
Music has a feel of "Riders on the storm ", fitting for the look of those clouds
Was wondering the same.
Cool Video Matt, yeah definitely more info and footage on the restoration if you can. Love following along with restorations like you did with the Old Fork Lift
Two hour drive with a leaf stuck under my wiper blade would drive me nuts :P
Always enjoy your restorations Matt. I'm glad to see people fix things, 4000.0 hours is nothing on machinery today. Makes me happy, we are not a throw away Nation. Myself, i can't afford to get rid of stuff just because of break downs. Thank buddy, another good video.
I always enjoy your videos, you have so much talent in a lot of things. I seem to always learn something from you. I loved the back looking view. It reminded me of going on trips in the 60's and 70's as a kid. I would always kneel on the back seat and watch out the rear window.
I am with you love picking up stuff that has potential and making it serve a purpose again.
Looking forward to seeing your buddies skid steer in finished stage. And I really like your Bulldog lol. He’s or she is awesome
I would definitely enjoy seeing the progress your friend makes on fixing up that machine.
Could always use a new diesel creek video to start my day!
That is a great deal! Around here, the scrap piles all go for over 10k.
The enjoyable view out the back reminds me of summer trips to FLA looking out the back rear facing seat of the 74 Pontiac Safari station wagon...
You have such an interesting channel and have a great deal of talent. Thank you for sharing these videos.
I saw overspray when you showed the engine and was wondering if it had a quick "dress-up"..usually means to distract you from something else being hidden. Always like to see restores and repairs, so love to go along for the ride too!
The 6.0 sound is ON POINT!!!! Blue runnin strong!!
I love to see more videos on this skid steer he did a great job making this one keep up the good work
Love watching your pup play with the ball. As always be safe. Peace.🇺🇸🍻
Nice buy! Even in that condition. Nice drive, fall in the air! Enjoyed
Always enjoy a progress update on projects
I like the rear view from your truck; but then I love looking at your roads and scenery; so much nicer than over here in England; you guys are so lucky to have it all. I really hope that you appreciate it !!
Restoration updates are always good. The high speed driving view out the back window was cool. That will make great scenery in the fall, and hey I cant blame you pulling stuff is fun
Love your channel Matt! My kind of content right here!
Thanks for the road trip Matt!!!
The sound of the turbo on your truck is awesome 😎
You backed that trailer in there like you know what you're doing! Good job!
Happy Hump day Matt! Great drone footage.
Thank you Matt for the interesting videos.
That Pup, looks like he's "havin' a Ball," with that Ball, y'all are kicking around! Lol! :) Great Video! The Rear View Drivin' shot is cool! Especially when your changing lanes! :) Two Thumbs up for that one! :)
Cool video and your bulldog really loves that ball!
It never hurts to help a buddy you never know when you might need their help, but you already know that😂 Tiny Houston MS ( Len Price )
Great vid! Would LOVE to see forward progress videos on this skid steer. Hope you get the time/chance to show more. THANKS!!!
Love restoration and fixing equipment
just out of curiosity are we going to see more of the rebuild on the big block v8??? or is it toast? thanks for the vids.
Yeah, I’d like to see more of that too!
Yeah me too. Been waiting patiently. Love Matts videos.
More CJ ...?.?
1000 tops
Yup, I like the trailer view too. You're not alone there.
Great sound from that truck
6.6k doesn’t feel that bad for a machine that works. Use it a couple times and get your money back out of it.
'Works' can be a very relative thing with equipment, we just replaced the track motors on my mate's 4t T650 Bobcat loader and 2 days later one of his boys tore a track clear in half while clearing a property.
Not too bad, on the side of the 'main street' of a 'town of maybe 80, gravel roads, no thieves. Still $5,000 apiece for new tracks.
The costs of moving inoperable equipment can exceed the price of purchase. A crane call and replacement rental while waiting for parts could blow weeks or even months out of your budget.
What am I saying? Its a pretty poor assumption that you can instantly convert a machine that barely works into profit. Expect to nurse it back to shape first.
@@Senkino5o got a used set of tracks for the
Case 3grand here in the Pacific Northwest. Took time to find them. Old set were completely shot.
..
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE 106K SUBS
Love that driving view! I could watch that all day as well.
Good vid. For us over on the other side of the pond, it's nice to see bits of America that we'd never otherwise see and your truck has a good turbo noise. Almost as good as the 'whistler' army trucks that are in various movies.
How about a video about the dump truck. What kind of upgrades are done to the engine and turbo. That thing is the coolest! Love your stuff, all your video's! Looking forward to the next one.
Love the yard sign at your buddy's place.
Definitely a follow up is needed.
Enjoyed the scenery as well. We don't have that kind of terrain in SE Louisiana.
9:55 - Western PA in autumn. Beautiful, beautiful. For about 3 weeks, it can’t be topped for beauty.
Good video Matt. Thank you for sharing.
As a Former diesel tech for Fords heavy truck line, I've always enjoyed the sweet music a 6.0 presents, especially the turbo spooling down upon shut-off lol
Couldn't agree more!
You're good at reversing with the trailer.
I have judgment, after almost 30 years
behind the steering wheel off a truck.
What did you put the steering wheel onto?
@@mwilliamshs Guess.
Well, not a truck, since it's "off a truck"...so, a car?
Great video today Matt. Pretty cool to see you in my area.
Yeah. I liked that back window view. Just something about it.
Agreed.✔
I'd be interested in seeing a followup as, like many others, think I saw paint hiding rust. It would be interesting to see how much sheet metal damage there is.
Nice shot video, and it was fun.
I am very interested in seeing more on this!
Still, your videos need more Meatball! He's awesome! 😄👍
Keep up the good work! 🙂
Cool looking building in Akron..
For some reason, I liked the footage on your way home, too! LOL So, you're not the only one. Not sure I could watch it for hours, but it was sort of calming/soothing!
Ya i got agree the view was great Matt love the long trips on the videos . To bad the skid steer needs so much work like you said a little TLC and she should look good for sure thanks for the great video and hope to see more take care...
Yeah an update on that machine would be nice. Or like a quick work video on it or something.
Hey Matt! I am in Akron! Cool to see you come through my neck of the woods!
Heck yeah I like when guys like you and Bob build fixer up projects. Be safe brother your friend from Larned kansas Eric Houser.
As soon as Bob starts playing his Johnny Cash records you know it's drinkin time 😝🍺
That view on the high way is very relaxing 😌
I seriously considered buying this exact skid steer!
I like stuff like that and going and pulling stuff around with my truck also I am a one-man business owner down in Florida I understand the everyday struggles of a dirt worker
Nice transition from ramp to highway
Machines of all shapes and types are always interesting, Matt!
Your truck has a sweet sounding engine and turbo, love it.
I like all the content that you post and find it mostly easy to watch... not a lot of bad camera work which takes me out quick. Hate having a body that dictates what I can do or not. You have come a long way since early days Matt. Your practicality favors my way of wrenching as well. Some beautiful country ohio and surrounding states. I live in Alaska where you can drive nine hours in any direction and still not be close to the border of it. I have a choice of muskeg or rock, ice or permafrost and here in central Ak, it is about twelve to fifteen feet anywhere you go... and the ground there doesn't match what your walking around on. From twenty feet down, a lot of ice from long ago. Yet we punch wells that are well, hard to believe but over a couple thousand feet on some.... rare. Here every acre has its own weather pattern and same as for getting water. Shallow wells are real easy but most going three to five hundred feet for good water. and a hundred feet any direction, your hitting China is more probable than finding water. Oddly we get less rain or snow here in central than most all of you in the continuous 48. I just never got to understand it as for early years were as a truck driver seen most of them but did grow up in washington and it was such a relief to go here and find a third of the rain or cold.
..What a great looking old brick building!
Interesting little journey.
Your view looking out the back window is the one I am most looking forward to seeing as I am finally New York State, heading for Oklahoma!
THAT DOG IS PRICELESS!!! & yes it does run well!!!
Excellent background music, Waylon and Johnny.
Backward view was cool!
The view is perfect
What i find enjoyable is the sound of your turbo.
Far out that Ute sounds amazing !!
I could listen to the engine and turbo of ur truck all day that is soundtrack enough....
It does get old sometimes lol
Yes please do follow up that skid
5:39 reminds me of being rear gunner in a military convoy.
Good find and Great work and thanks for the content stay safe and take care
Great video as always!!!!!
I like seeing videos like this.
How cool is that bulldog!
Liked video, and LOVED the Red ball thing!
Great video! Really liked the rear view - looks like you were rolling - not many passing you
I like the bit when you drive really fast
Yes I love these types of video. I’ve never seen one of your videos I don’t like!
You are a good guy Matt! I have a group of friends and we do the same thing for each other. Keeps life interesting.
Awesome little video
Id love to see it finished and see if your buddy can take some before and after pictures.
The paint job was a worry, not what you could confuse with being a quality production. The controls appeared to function, but the switch gear and fuse panel were not exactly stock where they hung about. No doubt there were other gremlins, hopefully they can be de-fanged before they bite anyone. A good long winter nights project I think.
Enjoy your videos and the music!
GOOD LUCK WITH THR SKID STEER.SALUDOS FROM CLIFTON N.J.
