I want a live-action version of this movie that still retains all of the errors. Failing to actually grasp objects, being pushed from five feet away, floating notebooks, someone's hair color changing in the middle of a scene, characters forgetting how to nap, etc...
They might as well have hired a nine year old, completely on his own, drawing every frame on a piece of paper, recorded it on it's cell phone, doing every voice, sound effect, and song himself. That would have been better.
As a professional 3D sculptor, and character mockup artist, this is literally just first pass or "Rough in" animation that they chose to hit the render button on. All animated movies start the animation cycle as a very rough story board, and then individual animators are given scenes to clean up, add particle effects where the director wants them, lip sync, physics, etc. Most big productions will go through at least three animation cleanups before they are finished. It is insane to see a company release a movie in this stage, but I am not surprised if it was meant to just be a cash grab.
I think a good example is Monsters Inc, theres a video on yt showing the animation progress, starts off as a sketch, then they make the characters and move they around, then animation kicks in and at last the final render

So I was thinking, they made some random motion capture and never cleaned the capture, then rendered it separate from the scenario and placed it on top? Also, the trolls have subsurface scattering for some reason which makes me think that there were only 3 animators working on it, one for the trolls, one for the humans and a guy for the grass simulation.

Any time a big movie is coming out these days, especially a CGI movie, you can guarantee that there will be an extremely shitty knockoff released in an attempt to confuse well meaning grandparents.
17:36 I suggest an explanation for the Queen Elizabeth picture: that specific picture is the official photographic portrait of Elizabeth as Queen of Canada, as Canada is a Commonwealth realm (that means, one of 15 countries were Elizabeth is the head of State). I don't know if it is the same in Canada, but in Europe is very common to have pictures of the head of States in public offices, like the forest ranger's one. Having said so, I suggest the whole movie was set in Canada... or maybe the producers were just high, who cares!
You should stop calling films the worst, not because it's repetitive, but because the universe sees it as a challenge and wills these atrocities into existence
You have movies like Big Hero 6 where Disney literally made 1000s of unique character models and developed brand-new technology to accurately simulate traffic of people walking through a busy intersection in order to make it look as realistic as possible, for a scene that was hardly 30 seconds long. And then you have movies like this.
Big Hero 6 really doesn't have *that* bad of a reception. It is mostly positive. It has about the same amount of haters and negativity surrounding it as any modern Disney Movie (outside of Frozen) will get.

You have movies like Big Hero 6 where Disney literally made 1000s of unique character models and developed brand-new technology to accurately simulate traffic of people walking through a busy intersection in order to make it look as realistic as possible, for a scene that was hardly 30 seconds long.

I personally quite hate the movie not cuz of the visuals but the story just isnt my type and its wayyyy too dark for a kids movie (i like when kid movies are darker than usual, like i've seen Coraline and loved it but Big Hero 6 is way too dark, and even with that, its not implemented well. Just characters dying and dying)

I think what’s worse is that the characters don’t even have any shadows. So it makes it look like the characters are floating.
A lot of the props do it, too. It's surreal. Like gravity just kind of stops existing for these people sometimes.
