- Warmaster Slaydo has so far found the Sabbat Worlds Crusade to be a far longer and more turgid affair then he had hoped. Chaos had proven crafty and tenacious under the command of Archon Nadzybar and had thwarted the efforts of the Imperial navy to further operation Newfound. But now at long last an opportunity to turn the tables presented itself! Balhaut! The footsteps of the Saint beckoned.

The Imperial Guard really carries the Imperium of Man so damn hard.
Considering they make up over 90% of the Imperium's fighting strength, yeah they kinda do.
Only 90% wheres your source for that? I would assume it's higher.
To be fair that depends on where/what and if you count the PDF.
To be fair pdf isn't technically guard since the best of a pdf gets recruited into the guard that implies there is more pfd than guard so it's probably a lot lower that 90%
This is why I love the Gaunt's Ghosts series so much. The guard is often overlooked in Black Library work and yet they are the backbone of the imperium
The Guard does the work, the Marines/Navy gets the glory. But the Emperor knows who did what.

Agreed. Though I suspect there's not much "flesh" there anymore cause of hive fleet leviathan
honestly it's one of the things i love the most about the Ghosts series, and something i wish Games Workshop would do more of. Instead of just fighting 'chaos', the enemy feels like actual living, breathing, thinking people who make the Imperium work for it.
This is how you play 5d chess in the 40k universe. Macorov sure learnt his lessons well when he took over after Slaydo

@@Matihood1 hardly. It's a plot point that's been known throughout the entire Gaunt's Ghosts novels, which is entirely based in this whole crusade. They've been out long enough. If you havent read them, thats on you. Dont try spoiler squealing here

It is such a contrast when I hear Arch pronouncing the names of things from this material given that the Guant's Ghosts audio books have a consistent narrator.
Like how he pronounces "Balhaut" like "Bal-Hut" where somehow the narrator of those books throws an "U" in there, like "Baul-HUT".

He announced last year on a live stream that if he were to do a sabbat worlds lore dive it would be short videos. He doesn’t want to do hour long formats anymore
I like his content, I like his style So if he's making money, great! I hope he does well & that encourages him to make more series after this. If you can do better then go for it but don't wander into a guy's work & tell him how to do his job: it just makes you look like a fud.
Honestly I’ll like 30-45 minutes of content. It’s somewhat better to digest and actually find time to listen to instead of a video that is hours long
