The funny thing is, the daemon sword is learning what it is to be a mortal in the clutches of a wholly indifferent or cruel being. Imagine how much it would give up just to be used just a tiny bit. Not too different from a slanneshi cultist who needs a taste. Except when the zombified heroes of Marvel find the Necronomicon; Cap America just tosses it to Zombie Hulk, who would go on to use it as toilet paper.

The Grey Knight was so full of the Emperor's words and "love" that anything that Antwyr sent at him just bounced off. He could hear the sword but only in the most literal way... the offers and threats were just normal speech to Crowe's ears.
I bet that he almost certainly could not see illusions and enticements. Crowe wasn't blind, mind you, the imagery was just so-much TV snow to him, but mostly transparent and not a bother.

The ring, though, is much more terrifying, as nothing short of eru or morgoth could resisit it, no matter how smooth brain you were it would corrupt you, no matter how long it needed to wait it would wait, worst part? It could cause things to happen. It got stuck in the bottom of the ocean? Welp time to cause a nearby fish to eat it, get either caught by a fisherman or wind up on the shore, it got stuck in a box and thrown deep underground? Well, well, well, it's time to cause an earth qauke that'll unearth the box and maybe crack it open. It's got taken by some rando? And he isn't wearing it? Welp those orcs are useful, got taken by a hobbit and now stuck in a cave? Well, now isn't this interesting. there's another hobbit nearby who can take it, the ring is dangerous cause its will is to find its master and thats it, and God forbid you find yourself at mt.doom where its at its strongest, the only reason why golum fell in is cause he made a promises on a magic item and that in tolkiens universes pretty much binds you to said promises and golum broke it and allowed eru to intervene... yep, you heard right eru, who is tolkiens version of GOD in his story had to intervene and it wasnt the first time either, he had to intervene against sauron twice at this point, so yeah the sword has agency and its own plan but cant do much in bigger scales in reailty, the ring on the other hand (hehheheh) is dangerous cause how it can work with reailty to manipulating events to cause its escape, and no matter how pure, how strong, how smooth brain you are, you will indeliblely be over taken by the ring and its power unless your eru or morgoth but thats unfair as eru is just God in another name and morgoth is lucifer in another name
