battle range =/= movement range. This actually gets mentioned when that one guy whos name isn't worth remembering makes a duplicate of Josuke using a wooden dummy.
I have a theory on this. Well 2. This is actually Araki #11. Think about it. The forgetfulness. The constantly changing story. The fact that the artstyle and storytelling methods keep changing. It's all because there are multiple Arakis that replace the old one. Araki obviously has a clone army. That or I suspect a fan put a curse on him that makes him immortal as long as he writes jojo. He started to age in steel ball run until he made it a jojo story and has dedicated himself to only write jojo.
I think some people also forget that characters in stories are not always right. Just because someone says that something is true, it doesn't mean it's actually true, it's just what they think. For example Jotaro probably does really believe that there is no way to revive someone with a stand, but then Giorno happens to have a really unique and powerful ability that can do that. There is no reason to believe that Jotaro is an expert on everything possible in the universe, especially one as complex as the jojo universe.

How can you say that? Polpo has very little screentime in the series and Kira got an automatic and a manual stand. Polpo could be so, but he got a bullet in the head
O CaptainChuck araki actually did that intentionally as foreshadowing, it’s a reference to a member of the band Black Sabbath. If you don’t know the obscure story like I did then it goes over your head but if you search it up it makes sense why araki wrote that.
O CaptainChuck It’s theorized that due to his stand being Black Sabbath, and the story behind the creation of Black Sabbath involving the main guitarist losing half of two fingers, that biting off two of his fingers might be an activation requirement for his stand, and them being alright after is another part of the stand.
The manga had them punching things to gain momentum, they just probably had a hard time translating that into animation with the direction they wanted.
Jotaro Kujo I can't remember the video specifically, but there's a video here on RUclips explaining that whole scene with DIO and Jotaro flying.... I think it was Meti?
Jotaro fought a ton of stands in Part 3, and spent that entire time improving his ability. Given the time skip from Part 3 to Part 4, and the fact that he literally explains this himself at the start of Part 4, his stand has gotten weaker and he isn't able to stop time for as long as he used to since he hasn't had to use it. In Part 4, there were maybe 3 times where Jotaro actually had to "fight." First was Josuke, and he dealt with him pretty easily despite not knowing what his stand did. Second was the rat, which was literally just a learning experience for Josuke and Jotaro was not even in range to attack it. Third would be Kira's sheer heart attack, which was literally invulnerable, and despite that Jotaro was still able to heavily damage it and save Koichi by sacrificing himself.
@ Listen man, I don't know if you're trying to come up with some sorta argument here but what I said is all there is to it. You say I didn't have to explain "what you already know," but there really isn't some sorta overarching message here. Jotaro became weaker in Part 4. If you already knew that, then accept it, that's better than the alternative of Jotaro being the main character for the rest of the series.
The point about Rohan needing someone to see a page was addressed. Rohan after the fight did the same thing as Koichi and matured his stand power, Making it so he can make heaven's door appear as a humanoid.
"remember that "no one can just deflect the emerald splash!"?" Yeah, first of all; that's a dub quote. Second of all, 2 of the 4 clips shown weren't even deflection, they were evasion and destruction. Also the "Kakyoin can attack people through paintings" was just Kakyoin showing off. He used Hierophant Green to cut Jotaro's leg after he put the paint slash there. There are shots in the series where stands are not shown.
@Mega “Star Finger would NEVER be useful ever again!” “Damage reflection is useless!” “Hamon and it’s healing abilities would be useless later on!” Me: 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@Mega 1-you said he could use it in some situations but he just doesn’t use it because....no reason. It was a dropped ability. 2-same thing with Damage reflection. Another dropped ability. That’s my point. 3- Hamon is barely used in Part 3 by Joseph except for the smallest of things. And it’s used the same way in Part 2 as Part 1. Hamon can heal wounds but this aspect completely disappears in Part 2. Hamon was very inconsistent and did whatever the plot demanded. That’s why Araki got rid of it, even though it was useful. New abilities are constantly introduced but thrown out later on.
The time stop of jotaro have a sense, basically star platinum reached he's max power at 17 years, so that he stopped time for 5 seconds without training, but jotaro didnt trained after so he started getting older and weaker (part 4) than he started training again so he could stop time for 5 seconds (part 6).

Remember when jotaro could beat the most broken stands, without time stop
The time stop of jotaro have a sense, basically star platinum reached he's max power at 17 years, so that he stopped time for 5 seconds without training, but jotaro didnt trained after so he started getting older and weaker (part 4) than he started training again so he could stop time for 5 seconds (part 6).
