For the time being, my advice is, keep doing what you’re doing & save your money and, when home prices come down, and they will come down, buy yourself a permanent place.
I don't know the first thing about trucking, but if I were in your shoes, I'd keep living out of that truck. Don't throw money away on rent...especially when you're not even living in the dwelling. Keep growing the savings so you can afford to purchase a place to call home when you're ready.
Becca, love each of your videos. As a grandfather, I would advise you to put your earnings in a credit union. When the time comes that you want to retire from over-the road trucking, you may have saved enough money to buy a home where you would like to settle down. In the meantime take a motel room with a pool during your off time. Never know who you might meet lounging by a pool. Here in Fort Collins Colorado I see lots of drivers hauling gravel, who are salaried, and are home each night.
Hey Becca, if it was me I would stay on the road, you're young enough to enjoy life now, save up a little and some day find yourself a piece of land, a house or whatever. But that's just me. Loving your channel, got a little worried you haven't been on for a minute. Thanks for keeping it real and for being you! Stay safe out there!
I know it’s harder to find places that doesn’t charge crazy prices to have your furbabies but I’d do a nice hotel or air b&b on home time. It would be nice to have your own place to go to but if your only home a week out of the month rent is pretty crazy. I’m driving a school bus now but I want to go to truck driving school for my Class A. If it were just me I’d definitely live OTR. Be safe out there and thank you for the inspiration!
Just keepin it real, I’m an OTR Flatbed driver too and I’m in the same position as you. Single no kids… I wouldn’t spend money on a place if I’m gonna stay OTR just to save more money! But it’s ultimately up to you💯
Look who’s back! It's are favorite girl trucker! " Big Rig Becca " in the house..Whoop whoop!! working hard and just as beautiful!! Thank you for sharing this great video with us. Wishing you all the best! Get ready to create tons of memories in your new place.
Always good to see your Video's. In regards to your living arrangements, I would say compare what your paying for your current living situation to what it would be having your own place. Go with the most cost effective. Keep in mind having your own place you not only have rent but also utilities etc.., You will make the right decision for you. Glad to hear you and open deck drivers have a brotherhood. Keep it safe out there. As always "Keep It Tween the White Lines".
Steve, she pays her bills every months, I'm sure she realizes how she spends her money to make ends meet. Ya'll quit calling her an idiot about her living arrangements. It's RUclips morons. It's entertainment, this whole channel could be a spoof. Looks like she has a nice car, apartment, pets, vacations. And doesn't have to work for months at a time. Over 50k subs means something is happening you all don't know about, just think, if she showed some cleavage..bang! 100k subs, perverts.
Hi, NEW SUB here.. Love your personality.. Was a collision / frame tech at a International dlr in late 70's, 80's now can barely change my oil in my subaru😀..HUGE respect for the OTR folks.. Love your laughter..Will follow you.. Cheers ..
Hey Becca greetings from over the pond new to your channel but I have binged watched nearly all of them lol. Keep doing what your doing with regards to your house situation and save your money no point in paying for a place your not going to be in very often. Also you have inspired me to do my license to drive trucks in the uk 👍🏻. Stay safe and see you in your next adventure.
The decision is completely up to you. I mean, if you are gonna be out in the truck most of the time is probably not worth getting a house in my opinion. I’m also single with no kids and planning to get my CDL. I probably do OTR for a while and maybe later get a house of my own and start a business and family.
Big Rig...great show today...ItS up to you about renting...Is itworth the $ if never at home, the cost when it's never. Occupied??? I would stay in that nice rig and save $$$$!!!!😊😊😊❤
My advice Becca is stay with the truck ,, if your in town for awhile get a hotel room ,, not sure of the rent but in your situation -- single -- same as myself thats money you can save ,, i feel after a few months you'd realize your not there enough to justify whatever the rent will be ,, seeing alot of the same advice in the comments but desision is yours ,, best of luck either way and Safe Travels 👍👍👍👍
When I drove, my wife and I had a nice apartment and we never did unpack. It was a glorified “expensive” storage apt. when we basically went through our home town one weekend a month. We finally just put our stuff in storage and lived in the truck.
Don't waste on rent, unless you really want a place to call your own. I would take that money you would have been paying and invest it to start planning for retirement and paying off any debt if you have it. Or save up money to buy your own truck and start your own company. Truly enjoy your videos!
Very impressed with your channel -- very entertaining, informative and enjoy your great attitude and self confidence! Great editing -- keep up the great work 👏
Thanks for another great video! I will say there were times I was getting a little worried that you were okay, it was good to see you are. A place of your own might be nice, I’m sure you will make it beautiful. I hope you are enjoying your time off!
As long as you don’t NEED a place, I would wait on buying - unless you are buying with cash and just need a place to put that cash. Interest rates are at their highest right now. Wait for rates to come down - it’ll be a couple years, but you will save a lot of money over the long run. Also, buy a single family detached home, not a unit with shared common walls with neighbors and homeowners association fees. You, your dogs, and your future family will appreciate a single family detached home with a yard, maybe even a pool. 🏊♀️ You can invite all your subscribers to a pool party! 😅 Forgot to say I like the POV cam that you wore in this video. I'm from Dallas. I hope to see you on the road. I love your videos! I just started driving this week. I'm starting a new career and you have inspired me! btw, I love your giggle!
Insulation loads are very difficult. On getting a place to live. Look for a room mate and share expenses. Make sure they are compatible. Such as no smoking or not a party person just to name a couple that can be deal breakers.
Hey Becca! Loved the video 🙂 If you're in AR every weekend then you should get a place, if you're only there like 3 or 4 days a month it's probably not worth it to pay rent, utilities, internet etc.
Unless you're buying a home I'd keep doing what you're doing. I drive OTR flatbed and I get a hotel room every Saturday and Sunday nights for my 34. I'm spending about $600-80/month on hotel rooms per month but I've got no rent/utilities to pay for. It's not too bad.
Lady Becca soooooo nice to see u 🤗 yeah still smiling 🐕🐕 happy, u rock girl, Becca u work hard for da money girl u got plenty of time for da palace save da bucks 🤑❤
From a senior citizen----find a nice rv park, find a nice park model for sale in the park and use that as your home port----it's less expensive to buy, maintain, taxes and etc and very comfortable to live in as a single woman!!!! My wife and I had a park model (400sf) and with our dog and it had all the comforts as an apartment but with a lot less hassle. You won;t ever regret the change!!!
When I started I lived outta my truck and with family, I had no payments and banked every penny. In less than 5 years I had enough money banked that I put down %90 on a home
your young save as much as you can, your seeing alot of the country why pay a mortage when you wont be there that often to enjoy it,real estate is high now,let the market cool down,3 things to remember when buying location location ,location, you probably will not live out youd days there,so keep in mind resale, stay safe and enjoy the journey, your a hard working lady, stay safe
I’m over the road and separated. I love getting out of my truck after 2-4 weeks and laying in my own place. I love coming home to a home, a hotel isn’t home at all. Paying rent for a place i see once or twice a month is ok with me. Plus i have a room mate, so she pays half the rent and utilities. When i’m on my reset over the road i get a hotel for two nights. My company gives me $90 for a hotel. I take full advantage of it when i’m on break.
To make life more easier for you... you should measure the distance of your straps and put down a marker on the driver's side and the measurements from your straps and put down a second marker for the first one... and just drive up to the second marker.. the will save you having to move that heavy step ladder... keep it country 😊
If I was young with no children or spouse and nothing holding me down. I would run from coast to coast and live out of my truck. I wouldn’t waste my money on paying rent, I would keep my money for myself. I’m 61 now but if I were young with no attachments that’s what I would do.
Thank you for joining this industry. We need more people to haul freight and keep this country moving. What brand phone holder do you have? I need a new one and I think that will work. Thanks
Like Lik Dickie says…”save dat money!!” You got family and friends to stay with get outta the truck and you can always get a hotel room for a few days if you’re somewhere cool and rent a car
As long as you have a place to go and decompress it doesn't have to be your house. If you can hang at your parents or rent a room somewhere with some privacy. You are on the road most of the time so bank your bucks. If you haven't yet open a retirement account. Make your money work for you. You are young and traveling the country who knows where you may choose to settle down in 10 years. Just my opinion. You could look into buying something you could turn into apartments and live in one rent the other to cover the mortgage. Lets say you buy a duplex. You can use their rent to cover much of the mortgage and lots of deductions because it is an income property. Make your money work for you.
Bank that money girl... dont waste the money a place right now. Start talking with a financial advisor now and start investing you'll probably be able to retire early in life if you choose.
It’s totally up to you. Do you want to stay on the truck and keep on living in it, or do you really want to live in an apartment? If you choose to live in an apartment, then you deserve it because I think you earned it. Like I already said it’s up to you, Becca. Good luck 🍀 and take care.
Only downfall is you would be stuck wherever you decide to get a place. Let’s say for some reason next month you’re no longer with this company and now you’re obligated to stay in that one spot.
Don’t get the apartment! Bank the same amount of money every month as whet the rent would have been, and after a few years living on the road, you’ll have enough to buy a fixer upper and pay someone to do he work. Then you will own it! Owning a home at your age is the first step in building an investment portfolio that will allow you to retire at 50.
Being able to back up on the interstate to get around an accident! I sometimes wish, I would have been able to do that! 119, that’s hot!!! I wouldn’t want to tarp in that heat, either! Watching you with your doggies, makes me want to get one or two 🤓😜 So, glad I found your channel! Look forward to watching more of your videos!
Stay on the road and get that money 💵 and one day you'll get a nice land and paid it off keep trucking and keep your doors closed 🔐 and wheels safely turning
Hello Big Rig Becca, thank you for giving us another video. Well are comfortable being on the road and not having to pay rent when you are hardly there? Having somewhere to go and relax until you have to hit the road again also seems like it would be a good idea so honestly it's about what you want and feel good about. Good to see you passing through Texas again and of course traffic sucks anywhere but to add the heat it is awful lol. As always stay safe and see you and the doggos in the next video.
By yourself a 48 foot Rv 5th wheel trailer. In most cases the company You work for will let you park it on their property. And in a couple of years its yours. You can also move e it when you want.
hey Becca, get that townhome and rent it out. use it as an investment. then when your tired of otr you can eventually move into it or sell it and have your second house half way paid for when you profit on the first one..
My uncle used ro use my childhood address and my faimlys house as his home base when he was an OTR driver. He kept his cars, guns, motorcycle... ect here. He saved alot of money that way and me and my brother were always excited to see him every month or two when he came to town.
Do you see that loader/unloader vehicle in the parking lot on the hill? Why is it not chalke if that thing dislodges from its break? It's a wrap going down that hill, lol.
Well if your not home much why have the expense. Stay in the truck all the time is hard to do also. Not having a place to call home is not for most. If staying in cheap motels is better then do that. Somewhere to throw your hat , or panties, it’s nice to have but is it an expense you really want to have especially when your not there to often. Hey it might work for you having a place. There are pros and cons either way. You’ll find what’s right for you. Best to get those tarps fixed as soon as possible. Look for some old carpet to use so your traps don’t get cut of sharp pieces. Not telling you what to do just giving you reminders. What ya don’t do eventually bites you in the ass. Anywho Miss Becca, have a great great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring..
Hire a financial advisor and invest your rent money. Live on the truck, get Air BnB when needed. No money spent on utilities or furniture. You would have a sound future ahead if you could do that for a few years
If I was in Big Rig Becca's shoes, I would bank cash money, invest, and get your own home. It is nice to have your own cave, but you're on the road a lot. A guy needs his own cave because a woman won't come over to momma's house. A woman can live at home and there's no stigma. A woman needs her privacy too, though. I think everyone has the urge to feel independent. When I was your age, I know I did. I worked lots of part-time jobs until I enlisted in the Army. Then, I went to college. However, if money matters, then set a date for yourself when you want to set Big Rig Becca free. A home is a lot of responsibility, but it is wiser than renting if you know exactly where you plan to stay the rest of your life. Young people try to be roommates, too. But, you never know how that will go. Independence costs money. However, the lack of independence costs something, too. Just live. You'll figure it out. One thing is sure, when you have your own place, you feel like you're making progress in life. Of course, getting a home too soon can be a mistake. There are long term rental AirBnB's, but you have to be careful.
I'd stay in the truck stay with family and stay single and keep loving my dog's and living the best life ever like you're already doing why bother paying for something else when you won't never be there except part time. Apartments are nice but motels are cheaper for 1or2 day's layouts or home time's even vacation rentals. They have pool's too Big RIG BECCA ❤
I say do what's best for yourself and the fur babies, if you would like to have a place to call home in Arkansas sign a short term lease and see how you like it, I am sure you're comfortable with living in the truck but no doubt the boys would like some space to roam and play
Just a thought for the next time you have a load like this, but maybe you should have turned your ladder so you could go alongside the truck instead of having to back the ladder out and move it over and then come back into it.

Great video Becca
Becca if you do get a apartment once you get settled in I would love to see a tour but until then stay safe out there and keep on trucking 🤩

Saw your truck & trailer at the yard Saturday. I had to drop the refer trailer I had & get a dry van for a load to NC. Truck safely!

You can pick them up fairly cheap second hand in good condition
I would rent A hotel on home time instead of paying rent
If OTR 💯 agree. However, if a driver regional or local....well, rent might be okay.
I agree with @yarddog2483,
You are single and no children so it’s easier to stay in a hotel on your home time.
Ain't nothing wrong with being at home either with parents. When I took my home time twenty years ago I stay with my grandparents.

Was worried bout you, not seeing any of your posts on u-tube. Me, Not a trucker, but sure love to hear your adventures as a trucker. 🤠
Buying property is almost never a bad idea and the younger you do it the better off you are.
hey Becca, get that townhome and rent it out. use it as an investment. then when your tired of otr you can eventually move into it or sell it and have your second house half way paid for when you profit on the first one..
Get that Townhouse. Always nice to have somewhere to call “home” 🔮👍🏼💵❤️
Renting is like throwing money out a window!
My uncle used ro use my childhood address and my faimlys house as his home base when he was an OTR driver. He kept his cars, guns, motorcycle... ect here. He saved alot of money that way and me and my brother were always excited to see him every month or two when he came to town.
Its a tie and fly load! 😉
All the strapping - gives you a good Pitching Arm !
Yay another big rig Becca video 😊😊😊
Do you see that loader/unloader vehicle in the parking lot on the hill? Why is it not chalke if that thing dislodges from its break? It's a wrap going down that hill, lol.
When yoh can buy land, put a trailor or tiny home, keep saving....

Get yourself a tandem axle trailer camper that's all you need park it in the yard at work
I say do what's best for yourself and the fur babies, if you would like to have a place to call home in Arkansas sign a short term lease and see how you like it, I am sure you're comfortable with living in the truck but no doubt the boys would like some space to roam and play
I absolutely love your laugh.your so hilarious. Love Doug. You rock becca.❤🙂👍.
Just a thought for the next time you have a load like this, but maybe you should have turned your ladder so you could go alongside the truck instead of having to back the ladder out and move it over and then come back into it.
