I grew up in Wisconsin. And have done my 20 plus years in driving doubles. Sometimes empty. But you’re calmness and spunky attitude puts you on a different level. Nothing short of inspiring !! Stay safe out there. ❤
Aw thanks Manuel! There’s always the days that really get to you out here especially when it seems like it’s just roadblock after roadblock! I appreciate your nice comment! Be safe out here also. ❤
The biggest takeaway from this encounter is to check your securement inventory everytime you get a new trailer. Can’t have enough equipment for the unexpected situation especially when it’s your personal safety on the line. Keep up the great videos
Becca, nice save. Honestly, you got very lucky. Not trying to harp or fuss, but just as a safety precaution, always over strap / chain your load. For over size, always run signs, flags and lights just to be sure. For a cheap set of tools, drop by Home Depot or Lowes and pick up a ratchet set ( Thorson or Craftsman both have lifetime warranties) a couple Phillips and Flathead screwdrivers, pliers and an adjustable wrench or two. That's not everything, but it gets you most of what you'll need. 39+ years of OTR, if you need some help, give me a shout.
Wow scary shit 😳 I feel like you ain't taking this seriously enough. I think you need head ache rack on that tractor. I would like to see more chains and straps 🙏 I have seen to many drivers killed when load comes through sleeper just stopping for a light. Your life is worth more than a hurry up flatbed oversized load of junk. Because that's what it will be when it hits the ditch. Safe travels to you, trust your gut. You knew that load wasn't safe. You drop that trailer and go get what you need. Or you don't load it in first place. Glad you are OK. Safe travels
Dam, when you said load shifted I did not expect that ! I agree with the other comments, please push for a headache rack if they are going to have you run loads like this, coils and pipe !
Headache rack does not stop loads from crashing into the back of your truck. A bulkhead on the trailer however will help tremendously. This girl is going to kill someone! She should not be doing open bed without training.
On the oversize signs you can always pop the hood and wrap a bungie cord over the top of the bumper then down underneath it back to the sign on the bottom corner. You might even be able to get it through the gap in the hood/bumper with it closed.
Great video. If we didn’t know before, it’s clear that you are a great truck driver! Very inspiring for wannabes like myself. Drive safe. Quebec, Canada. 😊
Well done, Becca. I know a lot of drivers who would have cracked the sads with that load and taken off. You were professional and gotta done calmly with no fuss.
✨ Hello 🤗 Having been in transportation after 32 years and training...I have to say I'm very impressed with how well you handle yourself in tough situations. I do have to ask ..Did you use your chains in tie downs? I would think the chains ⛓️ would be a great initial securement and also the straps ...If you're short ratchet straps...You could tie a knot in the strap and use a pry bar or pipe and twist it to tighten it and wedge it in deck slots ..Also remember it's a wooden deck. You could add wooden braces not just for that load but having some 4 x4 wood blocks could come in handy ..if that load is stacked 4 high. I would have strapped bottom 2 front , middle, center ..And when other 2 are stacked then throw straps over the top and sides ...And possibly wrap chains or straps under and around the load since you have access to sliding straps under the load ...Wrap like a twist tie or bow tie...Ends and center ...Also in a pinch. Tractor supply and Harbor Freight Tools have straps and tie down ratchets ...✨🤗Keep up the great work. Keep smiling and travel safely ...Thanks for being a awesome person ☺️🤳📸
have driven a truck for 40 years and recently retired. i enjoy watching Becca in her journeys wishing i was back out there. be safe and stay sweet girls..
Very good job. You're becoming a hard little worker. And I guess you got that from your dad. It's not too late to go to college. I think you would do well good luck.
Thank you Mrs Becca for another great video. Things can change quickly in this industry as you can see, but you did a great job in handling the situation and fixing the problem. Your attitude is what this industry is missing. Thank you for all your hard work in keeping America moving. Until next time, keep it rolling.
Glad to see your okay from when your loaded shifted stay safe. Love watching your videos, you have inspired me to get my cdl. I hope to see you on the road one day.
You need edge protectors for straps on metal, they’ll just cut through the straps, vibrating and when you tighten them down, plus the straps get cuts and shouldn’t really be reused, best of luck to you, I sure wouldn’t do flat bedding again
Great video Big Strapper. I bet you learned a few new things on that load. I use to love doing oversized with an RGN. Did a lot of big loads on that RGN. Every loads had something new to learn. You were so lucky that load shifted where it did. I have had that happen also. It seems so much is learnt by one’s mistakes. I made my fair share of them. I sure looked stupid at times. Always look forward to your videos Big Strapper. You have a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring.

Thank you for your videos and channel. I can relate having your Pups with you as I have my Yorkie Pup Sammy with me all the time. Keep up the good work
I agree with the other people who said to drop your trailer and go get more securement supplies. I know exactly where you were because I live about 45 miles from Morris. There definitely aren't many truck stops near the area, especially ones that have the straps and chains you need, but it might have been faster than the roadway debacle with the cops. Luckily, Morris is a quiet little town with not much going on so the cops probably had fun that night.
Hello Becca, I'm from Indonesia and I love your videos, your Frightliner truck is really cool. I am a truck simulator gamer, basically I just sit in my room and drive unreal trucks. And then your video popped up on my youtube homepage, and it immediately made me ashamed of myself. watching girls become real truckers, and I'm a guy who drives an unreal truck.. damn..that's sucks..🤣 Keep do what you do Becca, people love it, greetings to your dogs zeke and benji..😁🤘
That's funny 😂 Maybe if you play the simulator enough you will decide to try the real thing one day and already have a leg up on the other beginner's 😂✌🏻
Please please pleaseeeeee make them put you a headache rack on that truck! Hauling stuff like that....just one hard brake and they will come right thru your cab no shit.....stay safe out there becca!
Whew, damn girl, you were a mess this trip…lol! I love it, just reminds me that I’m not the only one that has stupid shit happen to them. Just a few friendly suggestions; 1. Make sure to remove those magnetic lights every night, or someone else will. 2. I would buy a couple of those yellow ratcheting binders where the handles fold down because they have hole in the handle to place a lock so it makes it a lot harder for someone to remove them. Then use those to chain down your levelers or else some thieving jackass will take them like they did your strap winches. And 3. Save those old straps. I cut down and make some of my old straps a lot shorter for stuff like securing my rolled up tarps on deck, or for securing really short loads instead of dealing with 30’ of strap. And any that are just fubar, I cut up to use as flexible strap protection on the sharp stuff. Anyway, I admire the hell out your spunky go get’er attitude, it really is a breath of fresh air these days! Be safe and keep us laughing.
Hi Rebecca ! Cruising the you'bt, and just noticed your channel. Coz i´m an old guy not much time / effort to spent on line. Sorry you had such a rough couple of days. I'm fixing to go work at Swift. I injured my back a few years ago so no more flatbeds for me. Just drop and hook dryvans.
Yeah, so you think so, those mega carriers lie so much about everything so good luck with only drop and swap freight. Hehe, they lie right to your face, you should know this.
Those orange & red lights are nice, I'll have to get me a few for the lowboy I run. A load tye down tip/ hint. On both ends take one chain hook on passenger side of trailer & take other end of chain & hook it/ wrap it on the load , take another chain & hook on driver side of trailer then on passenger side hook / wrap load, you have created an X with the chain s. On both ends take one chain hook on passenger side of trailer & take other end of chain & hook it/ wrap it on the load , take another chain & hook on driver side of trailer then on passenger side hook / wrap load, you have created an X with the chain s.
