    - ABOUT THIS VIDEO -
we will be comparing the D-Lux 8 and the X100VI, two Large Sensor Compact cameras from Leica and Fujifilm. Leica D-Lux 8 was introduced to the market in May 2024 and Fujifilm X100VI was launched in February 2024. There is only 3 months difference between D-Lux 8 and X100VI so we are expecting this to be a fair comparison regarding age and technology level.

Useless video. Getting the spec sheets ready by an AI is not useful.

The biggest advantage for the Leica is the availability

Fuji is far superior and semi pro. I was at two weddings last weekend and all the three pros used Fuji and two the X100V. I was using the V1 and one of the pros was very jealous as it has IBIS for low light shooting.
The Leica is a Panasonic in disguise. Great for a small travel camera and preferable to the tiny Sony ones. But sensor size, sensor resolution, inferior lens and not being waterproof all put it in second place to the X100VI….subject to availability….
Luckily I was warned the day before it was announced by a Fuji main dealer and have had one since its launch. Took it on a tour to China and it was superb, especially on people shots. Just get in the queue….

Now, Fujifilm India has revealed the price of x100vi in India and it's too high.
On paper it say's 1600 US dollars - And that does not translate to ~1.35 Lakhs but 1.8 Lakhs (i.e; ~45K more) .
With this pricing, seriously, it does not make any sense at all. X100v initially was just 1.2 Lakhs . X100vi's 33% hike in pricing is just odd.
I'm very much decided now, not to go for it. I rather will increase budget a little and get some compact full frame - That's a wise decision.

You can't get the Fuji, so there is no question. That said, useless video, I'm able to read the specs by myself.
