- So much variety! From a modified Morris Minor Traveller to a factory Lea-Francis Woodie, a Rover SD1 convertible, a resurrected 2CV I've known for years, a 1923 Humber, an ex-Police Vauxhall Senator, a Ford Escort Mk4 'dad's car', a Ford Edsel, Chevrolets and stationary engines! #carshow #classiccars #britishcars

Nobody does it better, thanks for 32 minutes of joy! My mum had a friend in the 80s who drove a Giulietta so I fell in love with that splendid rump at a tender age. Lovely to hear briefly from the owner too.
Loved the diverse cars, thanks to the both of you for your time👍
Well done to the organizers for putting together such a fantastic show!
The HubNut experience just gets better and better 👏👏👏
Wonderful show, nice collection of diverse cars! Also loved this format, showing some highlights and the interviews and the musical intermezzo's with the overview shots. Well done!
With the hand held mic Ian does an excellent impression of a modern day Alan Whicker (ask your grandparents kids!).
😅😅
Ha, I can see that ! As you say, one for the kids there
Lovely show, great cars and interesting interviews. Wonderful !
The Pembrokeshire Classic Car Show gets better every year. This year's was blessed with perfect weather at its new and much better home at Carew.
As much as I love the Astons, the Cobras and the Dinos, the mk4 Escort just can't be beat. Best car shape ever!
Loving the microphone.Ian your rocking the vibe of the Alan Whicker of the car world!
Blue blazer white slacks and club tie next please!
Really enjoy a Hub Nut Car Show walk round the interviews with owners is excellent more of this please Ian
“That’s a TR4A based on the side indicators”
What amazes me about Mr HubNut, is how he has such depth of knowledge over a wide range of marks. I know these types of details for my particular area of interest, Mercedes from about 1960 to about 1995, but outside that range things get a bit more fuzzy.
I had a book A-Z of Cars 1945 to 1970 as a child! Read it cover to cover regularly.
What a great show with some amazing cars. Loved the Edsel ( a short-lived marque, not a model of FMC) and the white '59 Buick flat top seen behind the SD1 convertible.
Oh man i remember the 2,5 V6 Vectra As. They did indeed sound tasty, especially when beaten. A guy near where i lived drove a sedan manual one of those. We also had a mk8 Mitsubishi Galant V6, with an aftermarket airbox, which was always driven like the owner stole it. Quite a tasty sounding car too. I miss the days of fun engines in regular cars, so much. Xantia V6, Volvo and Audi's wonderful 5 cylinders, that Rover V8 aso.. Those were the days... Anyways: I love the way you cover car shows. How you manage to keep so much car knowledge in that noggin of yours baffles me. ..and that 2CV story at the end.. ❤
I see you've reached Level42, Mr. Pink. (I hope someone gets that reference)
What a great show. Thanks Ian and Carly.
I love your show reviews. 99% of the vehicles are different to what I’d normally see at a local car show. Plus, the Aston DB2/4 was the car that got me interested in cars since it was the old car my dad kept longest during the mid 70s to mid 80s when they were just another old car and not worth tons.
What a great video, I really like the interviews you were able to do with the odd owners, hope it becomes standard feature in future :)
Great. Really enjoyed the interviews - so nice to hear the enthusiasm and love for their cars. You are a real natural presenter.
Hubnut nattering on about cars for 32 minutes and it's all entertaining and informative.
[There are other videographers that are good for 8 to 12 minutes, some can do 20 but holding our attention with a quirky guy wandering around a field with a microphone for over 30 minutes is a skill.]
Great video! I really like the interviews! Hope to see more of them on future shows 😊
I like your interviewing style…good work…thank you👍😃
My GSA was C409 PPJ, just one number before the red 2cv! Originally supplied by a Citroen dealer in Godalming, Surrey.
Awesome video thanks for going along and what a cracking show, plenty of rare and special cars on display.
"They will do that all day" 😂 Steam rally wronguns Copyright Smith & Sniff
Lovely people, amazing place, Mint video, Yay! My Uncle took his Giulietta to Australia with him in 88, still has it.
Thanks for sharing Hubnuts, really enjoyed it. 😊👍
That's one hell of a good show, similar to the Stokesley show I went to last week, there was such a variety there, similar to this one, thanks for the video.
Loved this video and the chats with owners really added a new dimension to the report.
That was Ian Seabrook. Roving reporter for HubNut News.
Liking the new walk round style and the interviews!
I was in the queue at Dunkirk that day and saw the 2CV aftermath result.
Very sad but glad to see it better now!
Great stuff Ian and Carly!
Stationary engines doing it all day long #OTSOT
Brilliant show report Ian, a very diverse mix of cars - that Moggy woody looks 👌
Loving the subtle nod to Smith and Sniff - stationary engines will indeed "do that all day!" 😂
Really enjoyed the video, great variety of vehicles and nice to hear from some of the owners. Enjoyed the subtle Smith & Sniff reference on the Stationary Engines too...
Great show, and a lovely review, Thanks Bob
Truly spectacular! Could watch for hours! 😊
What a great show and video. The owner interviews are great, with excellent Ms Hubnut videography and some great editing by Mr HubNut too!
A wonderful walk around the the show. Thanks Hubnut
Glorious video
Nice show, the variety of different cars.
An excellent video. Great sound quality which makes a difference.
When i started driving back in 1995 there was an unmarked grey senator that used to instill fear in us boy racers! It used to patrol a fast section of our local dual carriageway and many friends fell victim it!
Great to hear the Aston-Martin getting a David Brown name check
I am liking the outro music, it's a nice little snippet of a hubnutty sounding little ditty.
A wonderful end to my week!
Oof!! What a way to start, with a '59 Edsel driving in. I'll always say Ford went the wrong way in 1959, with the styling. Instead of less, they should have made it MORE wacky, like everyone else seemed to for that year! 😂🤣
Although made by Ford Motor Company, Edsel had it's own dealer network and when cancelled supported by Mercury Dealers. A similar model in Canada called the Meteor is similar and equally rare.
I like the editing and interviews. Makes these kinds of video's much more interesting. Top marks.
I love shows that welcome all sorts of cars! Went to Orsett Classic and Vintage car show 2022 and it had all sorts of cars! Of course a lot were classic and vintage! But had some pretty modern beauties too
That Mark 4 Escort sure it was the same spec as my late grandfather's but his was red.
A beautifal RX7 i remember that version coming out i must have been 10 and 11 and was amazed at how it looked.
Something so mesmorising about stationary engines in action.
Remember seeing James' 2CV at the practical classics and restoration show.
A brilliant video and a huge varirty of cars for everyone.
I don't know if anyone has bothered to tell you Ian, but your editing skills have come such a long way since I first started watching your channel. Kudos to you.
Also, the personal highlight of your video for me was the restored International 454 tractor. I have spent months on one of these, ploughing paddocks, cutting hay, sowing wheat, oats, and many other farm related duties as a young bloke in Western Victoria, Australia. The one on our farm had a Gason engineering cab on it, with louvre windows all round, so when it was hot, the windows were wide open, and when it was cold, the louvres were closed, and you huddled around the back of the engine cowling to keep yourself warm.
Keep doing what you are doing. Your channel is one of the very few I follow where I watch almost every video.
Loving the ska vibes after the Senator…
I love that intro sequence. I've had a hard day, and I've not seen the entire video, but the start is awesome, thank you.
I enjoyed the concentration on the exceptional vehicles. Quality always counts. Two Woody's of exceptional quality. One, the Lea Francis & the other a persons own work using the best joinery skill. A lovely 1920s Humber in the proud possession of its owner. A much more modern Ford Escort, with an equally proud owner with only 50,000 miles on the clock. A delightful venue full of the nicest people. A most enjoyable watch, Thank You.
It would actually be an Edsel, as Edsel was set up as a division of Ford, just like Lincoln and Mercury. The owner's title of these vehicles actually shows "Edsel" as the make 😊 There were models under the make, like Ranger and Corsair...
If I can remember it's sales were that bad they had to bribe the customers with young girls to buy it by adding a free pony into the deal. To bring irony to it someone in America did actually convert an Edsle into a car a horse could drive.
@@bentullett6068 Edsel was based on a faulty market premise: that there was a market in America for a vehicle that slotted between Ford and Mercury. In the late 1950's, that meant that it was slightly larger than a Ford, with slightly less luxury features than a Mercury. They also gave the marque some unique features, like the optional push-a-matic transmission selector (push buttons in the center of the steering wheel to put the car in gear). Mercury itself was a "gateway" brand, created to get buyers into Lincoln dealerships and eventually purchase a big Lincoln. In the end, Ford failed at emulating General Motors, and didn't steal too many sales from Oldsmobile and Buick 😅 a few members of the general public recognized that Edsel was going to be a colossal failure, and bought the cars to put away in the garage. There's a surprisingly large number of well preserved and unrestored Edsels on the road here in the States...
I'd love to see someone turn up at this event driving a Holden 48-215, FJ, FE or FC model from the late 1940s to the late 1950s. That'd really have the Brits scratching their heads.
Very interesting short chats with the various owners, thanks.
A fine show and HubNut presentation. Some great cars.
Great show. The video's are becoming quite polished! Great to watch while eating breakfast on a Saturday morning.
Great interviews and walkabout, a very enjoyable 30mins. Thank you 👍
Nice shorts and great cars
that 75 Cabriolet 😍
You need to get to a meeting of The New Unnamed Classic Group - very diverse.
I'm only a couple of minutes in, but I love it already. Keep the microphone Ian, (though you do look as though you are about to ask someone 'if they are happy with their washing powder")!
Plenty to look at there, and even a mini-garden centre too apparently, and of course Tupperware looking amazing after her squishing too... :D
How did you not stop to marvel at that Rover 75 Cabriolet ????😢
We saw it at last year's show. I was trying to avoid stuff we'd seen before, though it's hard to remember everything we saw last time! He built the double-ended 75 we drove last year.
Wow ! So it wasn't a Factory Prototype.
Incredible workmanship.
Thanks for the good excuse. 🤣
already in love with the 205 RG convertible.
Places like Bournemouth and Eastbourne are a haven for clean older cars being disposed of by the elderly who are giving up driving or in estate disposals. ULEZ and clean air zones will be doing the same.
Another great looking classic vehicle show in Wales. Really enjoyed that tour around the show.
Also can I class owning a just over 10 year old car as a classic as they seem to start having issues after the ten years. As of writing this comment my car has decided to go on strike and refuse to start. You turn the key and no starter motor engagement.
wow i remember when hartlepool police had that car itwas well known around town cheers ian
It's funny how you said " the fear of the grill behind you" ha now for me it's the fear of the quad headlights on a 5 series BMW 😰
Enjoying the hand held mic…almost Terry Wogan Blankety Blank esq😅
It's like one of those old Top Gear episodes from the 1980's early 1990's where the presenters would walk around shows and interviewed people.
Oooh! Loving the interviews The love carries over! 😊❤
You got to come to the Isle of Wight classic car show in September, it's held along Ryde seafront
When I was younger back in the 1990s, there was a used car place on the A636 at Clayton West which regularly had ex-police vehicles on sale- if I'd been a few years older I'd have had a Senator... or maybe a Rover Metro panda car!
And next the the 2CV is a Maxi, which you didn’t mention.
Great show and love the format.
We saw the Maxi in my Teifi Valley show report. I try not to repeat cars.
@@HubNut darn, missed that one b
Loved the story about Bob the blue Mk4 Escort… it looked so good in that classic colour with the simple steel wheels and plastic trims, next to the little Lavender Mk2 Fiesta.
Nowadays Ford would expect you to buy (or lease) a daft great overpriced ugly Kuga or godawful Ecospprt for your basic daily travel needs…
Just watched a video of a 1960 Edsel 2 door sedan with 400000 miles on it.
Same here. What great condition it is in, too.
A great video now really enjoyable the police car was interesting indeed well done 👍👍👍
Some nice vehicles
another great video has always Ian and miss hubnut and hublets and hubmutts 👍
The Humber Sceptre made my day 😀
Great soundtrack 🙂
Ian your friend was lucky to be away from his 2cv when it got crushed could have been really bad. Loved the Morris woody it was totally epic.
He wasn't away from it. He was sat in it! Thankfully avoided serious injury.
Superb video ! Was nice to see the Jeeps , albeit briefly , We have a Willys MB .
Great vlog again enjoy your visits to these car show immensely and can't get enough of them, a little side note being a big fan of Saab's it sad to see so little of them on these shows are Saab drivers shy or are there not many around anymore, personally I own still two a 9000CD from 91 with 96000 km on the clock and a 900 from 1995 with 225.000 km on the clock both still Dailey drivers and doing it without a fail, would love to see some of these special cars sometimes, further on with or without the Saabs great to watch your vlogs.
I like the interviews
Another brilliant show, and time for another game of which one do I want to take home.
It's the Rover 441 GTS/1 Daytona Spider (if my maths are correct).
@23.50 .....my grandfather had some stationary engines........so interesting.....
At 24:15 we have pink shorts, sandals and a hat on either side of the orange mesh!
Would have liked to see more of the Vanden Plas
Thanks for the walk around Ian, feels like I was strolling alongside enjoying the sunshine. I find it funny that all the English car shows feature a display of static steam engines - are they there due to local laws prohibiting events without their involvement?
At 6:03 1953 Chevrolet 7 window pickup sounds like it had the Inline six my dad had a 1951 7 window we took out the Six and replaced it with a 283 Chevrolet V8 so we could pull our 25 ft travel trailer Aka caravan
That Chevy step-side was beautiful. And what a colour.
The SD1 , thought it was one I myself did but alas no , years ago in the day we chopped an SD1 down like a sand buggy , it had no roof and we welded the doors shut and stepped them down so you just slid in , also we made a 74 Vauxhall Victor estate in to a pickup which we sold to an actual Circus Clown who was working nearby .
If Hubnut did motorcycles then the Superdream would be very Hubnut!
oh i forgot.. love the pink shorts 😂
Music is brilliant
Good assessment of the Stimson Scorcher 😬🤣
12.35 Lea Francis 14 HP Shooting Break 1949. Has been featured once in a Dutch classic car magazine.
What next for Hubnut ? I see a US tour in the future Jay Leno should be calling you over with your knowledge of cars.
is that the Wheeler Dealers Moke? Same colour. That "Dexta" is actually a Supa Dexta - the lights are in the grill - (with a 4wd conversion).
