  • This is a clip for my trilogy of Star Wars: The Bad Batch film edits covering the entirely of Season 1, with each film running between 2-3 hours in length and cutting the arcs together seamlessly. Much like the first extended episode, many of the season's episodes transition into one another seamlessly, just like with the Clone Wars supercuts projects I released throughout 2020 and 2021. Like with previous releases, these are in 4K HDR and 1080p releases of all 3 cuts.

Now we know that it wasn't just Tipoca, but all the cities. The Kaminoans, like the Sith, became victims of their own greed. The Sith in-fighting over power-struggle left them in a detrimental situation against the Jedi. The Kaminoans essentially sold a slave army trained for absolute loyalty to the Republic to their own detriment.

Slaves under the mercy of the Empire about to go extinct and the Empire doesn't care. Sure, they may think the base being destroyed rather than being captured by the Enemy is more preferable, but it's made perfectly clear to them that the Emperor wanted it destroyed in the first place. For me, The Clone Wars didn’t end with Anakin’s betrayal and subsequent transformation to Darth Vader, didn’t end with The Purge, didn’t end with the creation of The Empire. It ended here, with the destruction of Tipoca City.
This is the saddest part of the entire canonical story of Star Wars for me. I grew up watching The Clone Wars, even saw the movie in the cinema when it came out when I was 12, and seeing the destruction of where it all began breaks my heart, I was in tears. And as much as it hurts to watch, I cannot deny that this was perfectly executed. You can feel the power of the turbo lasers ripping through the entire structure like it was paper, it looks absolutely incredible and not for a single second does anything bring you out of it. This was a true masterpiece.

@@poorchristopher15 Yes, you are correct. The Kaminoans helped Palpatine in his mission to destroy the Jedi Order and take over the galaxy, and without the clones, they would have failed. There’s no denying that Kamino helped The Empire rise to power and in turn caused the deaths and enslavement of billions of lives. That being said, this place also inadvertently created amazing memories, unbreakable bonds and long lasting relationships.
The Clone Wars was one of the reasons I became such a big Star Wars fan. I saw the prequels as a kid but wasn’t too into them at the time, I didn’t hate them but they didn’t hold my attention too well, and I never saw the originals until after I watched season 1 as a kid with a friend. Without this show I would probably have never seen the rest of the movies and wouldn’t have fallen in love with the series. So seeing the destruction of where the show essentially started sucks to watch.
It says that this is the end, there will be no more new clones, the story is over (obviously not completely over as we still have The Bad Batch going on adventures but still). That’s just how it affected me though, it was sad for me to watch and I’m also glad it happened.

@@Ashley_Jay Yeah, it's interesting that the whole time, the CIS were the good guys.. somewhat. Padme even mentions this when she states that she thinks there's a possibility that they're fighting on the wrong side. The Jedi came so close to figuring out Palpatine and stopping him but they weren't the only ones that could. The entire CIS army was under the command of Dooku and Grievous and they outnumbered republic forces almost 100 to 1. Had Dooku had the balls to do it, he and Grevious alone would have been more than capable of killing Sidious. Add in the backup of literally an entire Army, it would be over in 10 minutes. Nothing Palpatine could have done would'be saved him, the CIS had to purposely lose a lot of battles just because of how strong and large in numbers they were. Dooku was one of the single most greatest duelists and force users ever to live and Grievous was also among the top tier duelists ever to live despite not even being force sensitive. He was also fast enough to dodge most force based attacks and he whatever did hit him, his armor was strong enough to tank. Grievous couldn't beat Sidious alone but with Dooku, he'd not only last far longer but also give Dooku the edge he needs to win with certainty.

This scene, in my opinion, is the most heartbreaking scene of the entire Clone Wars era. It's after Order 66 (Also some of the most heartbreaking stuff!), The Empire's shadow is nearly covering the entire galaxy...
The music, as it pans across an empty city, an empty home, once full of life, full of not clones... but men. Full of the heart of The Republic. Full of history now... As the Venators get closer to the city, the team seems safe, determined... But little did we know what was about to happen...
As the shots ring out, it's as if a million voices cried out in terror... and were suddenly silenced. The scene completes The End Of The Clone Wars... The End of an Era. In it's place, a dark shadow rises, as The Empire is now in complete control.
Keep in mind this wasn't happening JUST at Tipoca City... EVERY city on Kamino had the same fate....
The scene made me BAWL when I first saw it, it makes me still tear up now. We grew up with the clones... it's so hard to see what they all fought for destroyed. Visually this scene is breathtaking too. They've really upped their animation and lightning and everything. I'm glad we're getting a Season 2!

Indeed the Empire destroyed every city on Kamino so as to ensure that nobody but them could ever have access to the Kaminoan cloning technology and processes and potentially use it to raise a new clone army and turn it against them. Standard Imperial practice if you cannot have it or control it yourself you destroy it.
