Because the Alliance is full on hit and run tactics they go in pound as hard as they can and then pull from the planet, they have no time to actually occupy the planet since the empire will arrive on full force at any time
Morely because they're limited in gear and manpower. You can see Clones chatting and a Imperial having human movement while speaking on his helmet-comms, but the Rebels really are just a bunch of guerrilla fighters who cannot afford big military formations with vehicles and all.
People don’t give General Grevious enough credit for organizing the CIS Navy. If it wasn’t for him, the Separatists wouldn’t have lasted as long as it did.
To my knowledge Grevious was just a part of the faction and not the main reason. The separatists was winning hard and outnumbered the Republic in every way and even if the clones could take out a hundreds of droids for each death and a Jedi taking out thousands of droids for each one of them, it wasn't enough. The droid numbers dwarfed the Jedi and clone numbers and with how fast you could mass produced droids compared to how slow clone production took also show this. Even if you make clones being produced as quick as droids there were only limited amount of clone facilities compared to droid factory where the only thing you need is to place the factory in a place where you could have access to the metals needed to make the droids. If we talk about navy the Republic lost hard, the ship that was built to fight capital ships was overshadowed by the flawed Venator because the Jedi liked it more. The Venator was built as a carrier and not as a front line warship and could easily be destroyed with a few well placed hits. That's not to mention that you don't put carriers as your frontline warship for obvious reasons. The biggest weakness is it's central hangar deck which could easily be penetrated with it being not very armoured and underneath a lot of weapons and fuel was stored which anyone can see why that is bad. The Venators weakness wouldn't have been so bad if there were dedicated frontline ships that could protect it from enemy fire. The CIS navy were very efficient with many of the ships being design around droids and not a organic crew which then don't needed as much space or life support which then the space could be used for more weapons or make the ship faster. Because they didn't need organic crews for their fighters and bombers, they could field a lot more of them and could even place them on the outside of the ship. The truth was that the Republic during most of the war was outnumbered and outgunned and the only reason why they didn't use it as an advantage was because they were told to not do so by Palpatine and then he activated a code which deactivated almost all droids or he wouldn't be able to beat the CIS. The thing with droids compared to organic beings is also that droids don't get tired or fatigued with cheap maintenance and if you can keep them powered which is a lot easier then transporting food and water, then they won't stop. The reason why we don't see this side of the war is because we follow the "good guys" and show them in the best light possible where they almost always comes out on top.
@@coolet9132 The flaw in your argument is, that "making" droids needs a lot more than just... Metals. Think about making a computer. You need lots of cheap, raw, materials, and a certain amount of different rarer resources. Shipping those resources to those kinds of factories in the necessary quantities would be a huge logistical task. Now, the issue is, that the CIS' power base was in the Outer Rim. They had a few core systems that supported them, but the overwhelming number of core systems stayed loyal to the Republic. Yes, there were mining operations in the Outer Rim, undertaken by the Trade Federation and other private enterprises, but the industrial power was largely focused in the Galactic Core. And while Clones took longer to "make", they were also, relative to the industrial power of both factions, cheaper. Feeding a few million more people would be a negligable logistic undertaking, considering the billions of people that were already consuming food in the core systems and the food infrastructure that was already in place to feed them. The lower number of clones needed to beat a Droid army also meant that they needed a far lower number of equipment - so the CIS had to ramp up and refocus their industrial production big time, while the Republic mostly had to restructure some of their economy to accomodate the needs of the clone army. A big investment yes, but a rather low investment compared to the total Republic budget probably. However, I agree with you in the navy-issue. The Republic hardly had a navy to fight with in the beginning - and within a few years, they not only pulled out some Acclamator-class ships out of their collective a*****, the also employed a sizable number of Venators by that time. Not to talk about the standardized Starfighters. The fact that they declared the foundation of the GAR in the Senate and the very next day swooped into Geonosis with a fully equipped army and navy always felt a bit unrealistic to me. Especially considering that the Republic didn't have a standing army (or militarized navy) to begin with, unless the Corporations that made up the CIS. I'd much rather have seen some kind of militarization beforehand - a full movie between discovering the Clone Army and sending it into battle would've worked better in my opinion. As for the Republics naval strategy, I don't really like that either. Fielding Carriers against an opponnent that had overwhelming numbers is basically trying to keep up with the enemy on a field that they're dominating. A smarter decision would've been, to design ships dedicated for anti-fighter purposes, with lots of Flak and Point Defense weaponry. Let them throw resources at you, if you can walk away from that battle, you're winning.
Also, Rogue One finally gave us a proper Rebel troop ship that can actually enter the battle. Before that, there wasn't such vessel (not even in Legends). The rebels rellied on the big and bulky transports (like those that evacuated Echo Base) which were way too impractical for guerrilla warfare. The U-Wing has been one of the best and most necessary additions to the lore.

Yep, the energy this animation gave is very Liberation of Coruscant, once the shields were dropped. The New Republic retained some of those rebel roots but moved way more into challenging the remnants of the Empire in big stand-up fights.
Animations like these that show how a pre-match intro sequence like this could get people hyped up for a Battlefront match, if the next Battlefront developers would do so.
Republic yes definitely should Empire though They are very well known for having mainly ISDs so it makes sense the rest of the fleet would be smaller But agreed on the ATTE and also the Rebels should have had some vehicles as well cause they did have a fair few (though models for them might not exist in good quality)

This is so well done! The attention to detail is incredible, especially the fact that the ships have to turn towards the planet after coming out of hyperspace. This is one of the most well thought out animations out there!
Wow this is something Ive always wanted, great job, snow troopers are a nice touch my fave trooper design, and showing how immediate the military operations and apparatus are of the empire, the communications and the star destroy alert etc. The rebels were very well done showing the sort of desperate defense and franticness they have to have to hold territory just to compete with the empire, they can’t do things methodically. I was a fan of how ominous the sight of the republic occupation, shows the republics true intentions and also how the clones are not as social and are more orderly than their later imperial counterparts. Also my favorite faction is the CIS, freedom for the OuterRim ✊
Amongst all the CIS navy was a beast if you think about it, extremely well organized... Also, even if a bit expensive, the Droid Tri-Fighters were terrifying
All very gorgeous but the arrival of the Imperial Star Destroyers just makes you hold your breath for just a second. Impressive.... most impressive. :)
I’m writing a third commend because this is just so amazing but the little details like the venators dropping out of hyperspace facing away from the planet and *turning toward it* just show an amazing attention to detail and love for this universe that sadly doesn’t show up much in Disney productions. That’s something you’d NEVER see in a Disney movie or show.
the way that the CIS just kepted arriving actually gave me goosebumps, we almost never (bar the battle of coruscant and umbara) see that many different ship types all rocking up together (not to mention the number of Providence Class ships ;-;)
Gotta say this is overall just SO GOOD. You absolutely nailed the cinematography behind the entrances that is just peak Star Wars. The ground sequences were also soooo freaking good, managing models and animations and again, masterful cinematography. (Also the fact that the atats were walking through the water was an amazing detail) only thing that bugged me was the kinda bad mc80 model and the fact that the cis munificent frigates were flying backwards.
One thing I want to point out, something I noticed, and this is just my opinion: Out of the four fleets, the Rebel Alliance capital ships could have used probably some more work. I consider the other three to be superior in looks - especially the CIS capital ships look great. But as great as the CIS capital ships came out, the droids seem to have suffered a bit for it. Loved the Rebels on the ground, probably the best ground work out of all of them. The clones looked a bit like droids in the way they moved.
I love the snow trooper casually talking on his cellphone. 😂. Love the little details that humanize everyone, even the evil Empire. Very impressive work bro.
Galactic Republic and Seperatist Alliance (C.I.S) line up so well, being the same looking planet and all. It looks like the CIS invaded and the Republic arrives to liberate the planet. Republic on top. FOR THE REPUBLIC!!!
I love these. The fact that there's no context either, really adds to it, as each viewer can ascribe their own story to them. Have you ever considered doing an Old Republic era animation? Malak's fleet jumping in over Taris to attack the Endar Spire. The fleet arrival at the Star Forge. Or just the same as what you did here. Revan's/Dadonna's fleet landing on a random planet
I really love this , great work, thank you so much for this And im glad u didnt include the Resistance or First Order/Last Order A 2nd Part would be Amazing
This video is goated. I tip my hat to you for creating this master piece. Every second of it is sublime, but the Imperial star destroyers jumping out of hyperspace is just 👌 2:27
Fantastic animation, I would have switched out the Rebel theme with the Throne room theme and added more variety ships to the Republic (Acclamator and Arquintens) but this is still far above anything I could do.
Personally, I think the CIS is the most badass. The droids marching in near perfect synchrony is the best! My list of favorites then goes: the Rebels, the Republic and finally the Empire.
I loved that touch. All the other factions are doing their best "Oo-rah" hardass soldiers impressions, while the Empire's got the guy going "Hey, a man's gotta eat."
Because the CIS is there to suppress and probably dismantle, The Republic is there to either defend or liberate, the Rebellion is probably doing some sort of short term hit and run campaign while the Empire is there to occupy for the long haul. @@MagnusVictor2015

Yep, the energy this animation gave is very Liberation of Coruscant, once the shields were dropped. The New Republic retained some of those rebel roots but moved way more into challenging the remnants of the Empire in big stand-up fights.
Perhaps as a last resort like the battle of Scarrif, or if they're incredibly confident they can win, like the battle of Endor
@@pancakes8670 no it's not, they use it cuz uhh..... I think they think it's effective
The rebels deciding to use hit and run tactics is also why the rebels didn't use Venator Star Destroyers
Damn having the AT-AT's walking in water actually makes so much sense as to why their legs are so long.
Animations like these that show how a pre-match intro sequence like this could get people hyped up for a Battlefront match, if the next Battlefront developers would do so.
I feel like the republic and empire should have more variety, like they should have acclamtor assault ships, light cruisers, AT-TEs and other things
Republic yes definitely should
Empire though
They are very well known for having mainly ISDs so it makes sense the rest of the fleet would be smaller
But agreed on the ATTE and also the Rebels should have had some vehicles as well cause they did have a fair few (though models for them might not exist in good quality)
@@omega13whitelucario95 Remeber the Battle of Atollon? the Empire still has Arquitens light cruisers, Gozanti transports, and Quasar carriers.
@BullGator-kd6ge I did say mainly known
I know they do have other vessels but they do tend to use ISDs more then other stuff
Imperial class Star destroyers are very powerful and having more than deployed to a planet at best one will fall but you can't beat more than 1 at a time
@Darth-vade123 depends what you have to defend your planet with tbh
The Mon Cala sector for instance without sufficient numbers could go toe to toe with them quite easily
All of them where great, but I would pick the CIS and Rebels because they have a variety of ships come out of hyper space. It just adds a whole other level of coolness
Agreed
Though the Republic does utilize more variety of ships in actually then what was shown
But yeah I would.... wait actually if you go for Rebel you can get CIS and Republic ships because they did use them

I like how the Rebel troops are the only ones who are actually running, showing how tactics of war changed between the Clone Wars and the Galactic Civil War. But the Republic, Confederacy, and even the Empire to a lesser extent, were still playing by the old rules.
It is also the only one that isn't a tradtional occupation force. All the other ones fullfill that role at one point or another. You never see rebel troops just patrolling since it is an insurgency force at heart
Yeah!
Knowing the Rebellion, it was probably an important planetary raid in order to get supplies/intelligence/etc, rather than a normal military occupation
…what the fuck even is this comment???
I think all of them had figured out running.
Well let's see, one of the factions are skinny terminators and two of them are chunky boys wearing body armor. Wouldn't wanna run under these circumstances.
In all seriousness, they're walking because they're far from the fight and have to conserve their strength (or battery in the case of the droids). The rebels were probably closer to the fight, that's why they had to run. This has nothing to do with tactics.

2:30 FOR THE GALATIC REPUBLIC OF THE EMPIRE!!!
I love Republic and Empire, always loyal and on there side of good
Wouldn't say the Empire was that "good" since they just like the later First Order basically obliterated entire planets and even systems.
@@wesleyjaskulsky9414 Good enough for me 😂
4:00 i think this fleet is more of the new republic in the post-endor
the way that the CIS just kepted arriving actually gave me goosebumps, we almost never (bar the battle of coruscant and umbara) see that many different ship types all rocking up together (not to mention the number of Providence Class ships ;-;)
Boy, do the Rebs and the Seppies look so cool in this animation 🤌
Gotta say this is overall just SO GOOD. You absolutely nailed the cinematography behind the entrances that is just peak Star Wars. The ground sequences were also soooo freaking good, managing models and animations and again, masterful cinematography. (Also the fact that the atats were walking through the water was an amazing detail) only thing that bugged me was the kinda bad mc80 model and the fact that the cis munificent frigates were flying backwards.
One thing I want to point out, something I noticed, and this is just my opinion:
Out of the four fleets, the Rebel Alliance capital ships could have used probably some more work.
Republic on top.

my man i have to tell you this are some of the best animations i have seen so far keep up the good work mate!

The galactic empire scene looked so elite for some reason 😂
Personally, I think the CIS is the most badass. The droids marching in near perfect synchrony is the best! My list of favorites then goes: the Rebels, the Republic and finally the Empire.
i love how combined, the CIS and Republic anthems can sound similar to the imperial anthem
Simple concept, flawless execution. Well done 👍
3:15 That is how the Empire came to conquer the galaxy: ruthless, unrelenting bureaucratic logistics.
I loved that touch. All the other factions are doing their best "Oo-rah" hardass soldiers impressions, while the Empire's got the guy going "Hey, a man's gotta eat."
All wars are wars of attrition, everyone laughs but wars are won by supply lines.
Because the CIS is there to suppress and probably dismantle, The Republic is there to either defend or liberate, the Rebellion is probably doing some sort of short term hit and run campaign while the Empire is there to occupy for the long haul. @@MagnusVictor2015
