The most honest and candid reports about these three cars I have been waiting to hear for the past five years. Camaro/ Mustangs and Dodge Challenger are like Apple and Watermelon. They both are fruits, but they are cultivated, planted, nourished, plucked, and even eaten differently.
It’s Camaro or mustang for me challenger and charger look nice but going straight is the past. Camaro and stang can actually turn and hang with big dollar cars now! If that’s not enough then I don’t know what is
Charger and challengers are like brothers, the charger being the older sibling that is responsible and kind of boring, and the challenger being the younger sibling that is the cool one that bends the rules and has more friends
The Mustang and Camaro have some similar traits but their motors develop power very differently so that’s why the trans in the mustang will hold gears. Mustang needs revs to make its power. Camaro has more low end. Mustang is a much better choice if you want to add boost. I’m comparing to the regular SS LT1. The coyote is super stout for a mass produced engine.
Why do you say it’s better for boost on the mustang? just curious on why you said that? In my opinion both cars boosted are amazing and run totally fine.
@@coastalparasail the coyote is in a different league when it comes to boost. Mustangs can make 700+ wheel HP on pump 93 and be comfortable. Throw E85 into the mix and the ceiling goes even higher. A LT1 6.2 is on the edge begging for its life if you ask it to make 600 WHP with boost. They need rods and pistons. Same with the Scat pack 6.4. The 5.7 Hemi does better with boost than the Hemi 6.4 but still nowhere near as good as the coyote.
Camaro is best if you want to attend track days and not worry about stuff falling off, overheating, limp mode, breaking...etc. GM got all of this right the first time, whereas frod is still trying to get there. let's not forget that the GM Alpha chassis is in another league compared to s550/s650. This is why the Camaro doesn't need wider wheels and tires or Carbon Fiber wheels to compete. Finally, the Camaro comes with a track warranty, unlike musntgas. Add all the boost you want for going straight, which as you know any car can be made to go fast in a straight line. However, going fast on a road course, with a compliant chassis that provides the driver with feedback along with reliability and repeatability is nowhere as easy. Get mustnga if you want to go fast in a straight line and carry the most grocery bags in the trunk. For road course work get the Camaro... you will be very happy, trust me I have first hand experience.
I’ve had trans ams, ‘06 GTO, G8, Camaro, charger , Mustang …just sold ‘22 stang now deciding what to get ..challenger Camaro or new stang or maybe back to s550 having hard time ..but I do get a emolyees family with ford discount
Im thinking about getting the mustang. The only question i have is can i put 305s on it so i can have extra grip this is my first time getting a car like this!
Wow that Mustang mach1 looks stunning in that green colour, love the look of that, would choose that over any other v8 muscle cars, in my opinion thats the best looking Mustang I've seen, its even nicer than the highland green mustang bullit that came out around 2019 time 👌 great car dude , greetings from Scotland 🏴😁👍
The challenger is best for looks and spacious room. Passenger, cargo space. The camaro is best in performance, racing, cornering. The mustang best in mpg, low cost of ownership , low amount of repairs unlike dodge. You will have lots of repairs if go dodge .
Get all 4 🤣 - I also own a 5th Gen 2010 mustang and a challenger - I am getting the camaro soon - I will get a charger one day but it will definitely be after I get the camaro because the charger is not a TRUE MUSCLE CAR and they are not Sports Cars - chargers are just fast ass Sedans - and I like the cars in the order that I am purchasing them in - the charger will always be last, simply because it has 4 doors - I agree with this guy about everything except calling a charger a muscle car over a camaro or mustang - I just can't get that through my brain that a 4 door charger would be considered a muscle car over a 2 door mustang and camaro
Go drive both the new Mustang and Challenger. The torque is fun in the Challenger and the room. If you want to ever hit any corners you will feel the weight in the Challenger not to mention stopping quickly.
Finally got my Camaro (and I was not disappointed) - but the Mustang is the most comfortable for me to drive - but when I want to act a fool, i get in the Challenger - but yea, the Camaro exceeded my expectations
My dream garage line up is, mustang gt convertible. Camero coupe partially the collectors edition as far as trim I don’t think I would really care or want the top level maybe mid something similar to the gt. Next would be dodge challenger hellcat. And Chrysler 300c.
It is my choice. Not a generic mix of new bull crap and old elements. But as pure to the original as can be federally legal. My 15 Srt is comfortable, fast and gorgeous. The 08-11s look the best though. My 13 fantom black rt plus 6 spd was with red 2 tone leather and turned heads better than my B5 Blue does now. Just Awesome all around vehicles
Love the review. Yes, mustang and Camero is very similar. But challenger/charger is way different. Challenger is meant go fast straight line. Mustang/Camero has much better handling and well rounded.
6 spds only for me. Fun is the reason. If I want real speed I wouldn't had sold my highly modded Fz1. Wait, it's a manul6 spd also. Haha. 10.2 quarter mile..
Bruh I hope you haven't bought that gt charger yet😅 cuz there are a lot of RTs going for less that 32k you better off buying the rt it has enough power for the street and it sounds good. As for me if the car has less than 435 hp stock. I do not want it 😂
I am sorry but the Challenger feel like the same Dodge built in the 60s. While the Mustang and Camaro have evolved over time the Dodge stayed true to its Neanderthal roots. The reason why the Challenger has not been sold overseas is due just that. The average driving enthusiast wants a car that does everything well. It must can go in a straight line and corner well give you a comprehensive driving experience. Sadly the Challenger fails at that.
The crazy part about all this, despite what everyone believes to be the best, only one continues to survives..maybe that should lend a hint as to what’s the best ALL AROUND vehicle🔵

@@ryandono5721 not sure how that happened, last Camaro I drove was a rental, mind you it was a convertible, but again, I’ve owned 2 Camaro’s in the past (1978, 1992) and test drive a couple mustangs before buying my Challenger in 2014… barely fit in the mustang. Not to mention, my dad has a Mustang Cobra, and I don’t fit in that without the top down…

You you begin talking about the mustang and pointing out that the trans holds the gears longer, and had to GOOGLE the redline of the car, which seems like you dont know much about the cars as a "car guy", as much as someone who just purchased cool cars. Most guys know the coyote is a high revving engine so of course the redline will be higher and the power down low wont be as great as the camaro and dodge ... but I'm not done with the vid so maybe I am wrong in my assumption
Camaro SS 1LE is the far superior car to all mentioned. And yes like you, I've owned all of them, including the ZL1 1LE track monster. The Camaro in 1LE form is a world class sports car, its not a muscle car like the Dodge.
"where TF is the other half of my car" 😂😂😂 Honestly facts bro, facts. I personally want to own both a sedan and a sports car. As much as I want a sports car more (because it's super fun and I hardly have passengers), it still feels like I'm missing a whole section of a car without those 2 back doors 😂 But even then, 4 doors just don't feel right to me on a sports car. I'd honestly rather have the 2 back seats disappear entirely, like on a Cayman, Miata, or Corvette.
I always personally felt the challenger is useless unless you really wanted the 6-speed or the looks. Otherwise the charger is more practical and slightly quicker because of better aerodynamics (higher speeds). The Camaro/Mustang do the coupe thing better. They are very similar if you just plan to daily and floor it from time to time. Mustang is slightly better because of the larger trunk opening and visibility. But if you plan to track your car at all, the Camaro wins hands down.
Um having owned many challengers, and driven numerous chargers, ane raced plenty of both in each version, the challenger in each trim level definitely takes off quicker, the 200lb less weight difference and different wheelbase make the challenger get going quicker and handle better than the charger
I don't know why these muscle cars don't drop all of their computer shit and make people learn how to use real cars. Like we did when they came out in the 60s and 70s....All the kids now would probably get killed though 8 ( No locking steering wheels no power brakes no power steering dimmers on the floor...where they still should be. If your car stalls out you can still steering and brake your car. Old light systems so you can turn everything off to hide from the cops at night while driving. Plus nothing sounds better than and old car with a lumpy cam and headers
Charger isn't a muscle car.. ugg 4 door sedan. The 2025 Charger will return to 2 doors as an EV. Looks sweet in prototype. Challenger for the win, room and muscle car looks.
I've owned Fords for over 3 decades. 8 Mustangs, 3 Cougars, 3 Lightnings and a new 93 Cobra. Then Sl55amg for 2 weeks, Range Rover and a month with a 17 ss Camaro. The Camaro was the best sports balance. But now a 13 Rt 6spd and the 15 Srt 392 6 spd Challenger. It is the absolute best overall Muscle/Pony to own. Best looks, and compromise between the Rover, Amg , and the 08 Z06 and others I've driven and owned. Challenger for the win!
The last true muscle car was the 2014 Mustang. That was the last car that looked like a classic and still had a live rear axle. None of the current cars have the axle which is what actually makes a muscle car a muscle car.
Oh my goodness break in period this and that and ford up the shooter. Mustangs suck. Ive owned all them and i have a charger rt left over right now bc of the room it gives. Dont ever buy a pos ford. I really liked mustangs till i got a camaro. Its night and day. Break in period is a joke. Ive been a mechanic for almost 15 years and am running a family owned business of over 40 now. We build high performance motors that go onto rpund tracks that run 500 laps. U break in a motor the way u want it to be broke in. Dont pet a motor if u plan on dogging it 1000 miles later give it hell soon as it hits the pavement. That damn car is in warranty anyways so whats it matter? Ford takes everything logic and turns it into junk. All those double over head cams do is make them sound like a v6. Ford use to have the best sounding motors till about 2015 now i cant stand them torqued up. They want yall to buy them ecoboost and 2.3l. Chrysler and dodge is the most dependable hands down. Im not speaking of just owning these vehicles i work on them daily. I raise a family of 4 doing this work i know a thing or 2. Id take that turd back and swap it for a dodge if u want less problems and more miles. Chevy use to be the most dependable until about 1999 to 2000 and their electronic r so far in the past and they dont have any engineers yet to this day can figure out how to make dependable electronics. Weve had so many electrical problems from chevy come in at work its almost a weekly thing people will almost cry when they hear about how much its gonna cost and no garuntee itll last. Dont ever buy a chevrolet after 2000 dont ever buy a ford period and only buy Chrysler if u can afford the maintenance on a Mercedes-Benz. But youll get years in between major problems with dodge and Chrysler. Ford is living in the past trying to be more then they can to show off. Chevy just dont have the right engineers. I still own a camaro the mustang is long gone. A camaro will make u fall in love when a mustang will just break ur heart and ur wallet. If u got the money id suggest buying anything made between 82 and 98
The biggest difference I would say between the mustang and the Camaro is the mustang has dual overhead cams where as the Camaro has a single cam. That would be why the mustang revs higher. When you talked about tuning the two are similar, the mustang can just breathe a lot better than the Camaro.
The Challenger is a true muscle car. The Camaro and Mustang are both pony cars. Muscle cars of the 60s and 70s were big heavy cars with giant American V8 power plants. The Mustang brought on new segment in 1964 when Ford decided to put a powerful V8 in a smaller, lighter, and somewhat sporty platform. The pony car was born. Chevrolet released the Camaro in 1967 to complete with the Mustang after seeing how successful it was. Mopar never released a pony car. All three are amazing machines and I would be happy to own any of them, though, I am currently having my fun in a 2019 Mustang GT.
I don't know what you been smoking but Ford and Chevy are not the same vehicles Ford uses motorcraft parts and Chevy uses a c delco parts so how they are the same teach me something new and Ford are built tough forever
You lost any credibility the moment you said “and Ford are built tough forever” 😂 how old are you? This is like if someone say “what do you mean Mopar and chevy are similar? Mopar is Mopar or no car forever!!” 😂 and you clearly do not understand what the guy said in the video 😂

If u got the money id suggest buying anything made between 82 and 98
Thanks for sharing your insights. Much appreciated.
When you say the Challenger is a bigger car, that is true and to put it into perspective, a Crown Vic weighs about the same!
LoL. My Lincoln Mark viii was lighter than my Camaro
Im sorry but the Charger just looks better than all those cars
Opinion
hell nah
boat
Hell no. Challenger’s the best looking for sure
@@c2petion naw bro Challenger looks like big ass plain boat
Charger looks and sounds better than all of them
Agreed
😂😂😂 Didn't you mean to say heavier & slower!
may be true, but it certainly won't last the longest.💩
GT 500 has entered the chat.......
i disagree with the sound a mustang screaming at 7000rpm sounds amazing
The biggest difference I would say between the mustang and the Camaro is the mustang has dual overhead cams where as the Camaro has a single cam. That would be why the mustang revs higher. When you talked about tuning the two are similar, the mustang can just breathe a lot better than the Camaro.
Good for you…..I had to skip half of the video…..
I like Camaro better
awwww fk it im getting a tesla
Charger ❤❤❤ love
Spend lots of time talking in circles
Won't touch a GM product. The others are fine.
Dodge is a travesty I'm telling you
The Mustang is the best by far but I have a real soft spot for Mopar.
Chevy and Ford teaming up is a Huge Compliment because they couldn't independently beat SRT 😂
that wasn’t the case at all🤦♂️
Hahahaha, someone is delusional, lol.
I don't know what you been smoking but Ford and Chevy are not the same vehicles Ford uses motorcraft parts and Chevy uses a c delco parts so how they are the same teach me something new and Ford are built tough forever
@Robert Prather thank you for the feedback!!
Chevy and Ford did invest together on the 10 speed transmission
You lost any credibility the moment you said “and Ford are built tough forever” 😂 how old are you? This is like if someone say “what do you mean Mopar and chevy are similar? Mopar is Mopar or no car forever!!” 😂
and you clearly do not understand what the guy said in the video 😂
@@patdeloach5107No Ford shared it with Chevrolet for a price of coarse.
best vid on the subject , thanks
CHALLENGER FTW🎉
If u want a heavy pos that hasn’t changed in 10 yrs, then yes buy a charger or challenger .
