Thanks so much both for this wonderful episode, took me back to the mid 1970/80's, caught some nice barbel and chub here and saw the biggest pike I've ever seen, estimated at over 35lbs and looked to be 4ft long!! an absolute monster!!. I always said the middle Severn is one of the most picturesque stretches of river in the UK with the wonderful sight and sounds of the steam trains as a backdrop-pure heaven, great to have the aerial views too, cheers Peter.

Hello. In Belgium, i use barbless hook. I think it's much better for the fish.

Great video there guys. What I really enjoyed is the knowledge of water craft, it really does show the thrase "5 hours in the wrong spot and 5 minutes in the right spot " is absolutely spot on. 👍

What would you change/ what swims would you choose to fish if the river was high?

The river of my childhood back in the 60’s. Haven’t been there for a while but after watching this, definitely going back soon!

My all time favourite place to fish on that island, great video and reminded me of my younger days catching lots. Please continue these trips out on the greatest river.... in my opinion.

Yet another quality video, great location, I like the drone shots to show the way the current flows, on top of all that, some lovely barbel, well done both of you.

Great video as usual, very atmospheric stretch of river and some lovely Barbel caught. I would love to see a Zander video on the Severn or Trent, particularly using the quiver tip approach.
