    Best to have one hour at the best time of day than 5 at the worst. Dusk is king. Great vids mick.

    Hi Mick... the middle has been hard this season. After several false starts and numerous lost hook links due to the large amount of weed in the river this year I have gone back to basics and started fishing a with a cube of Luncheon Meat and the hook buried. It's resulted in a lot more fish when otherwise it would of been a day spent watching a motionless tip while fishing boilie or pellet. Also if the swim allows letting it bounce along can buy a bite when the goings tough. Good luck and like you say sitting on the banks of the severn is pleasant even if the fishing is hard.

      Yes it has been a slow start m8. Hopefully it will pick up heading towards autumn.
      Rolling meat is something I want to try more of. I always forget about that method. I used to use it when there's lots of weed snags underneath my rod tip, so the hook don't catch on the weed etc. 👍🎣

    Those mink are comical, I fed one once with some luncheon meat! (yeah I know I probably shouldn't of) anyway it took my free offering and buggered off, so I carried on watching my rod and ten minutes later out the corner of my eye I noticed movement, I looked and had to take a double take when I noticed it brought it's family, all sat there looking at me! lol didn't hear them approaching as I was on the lower Trimpley BAA stretch where the rapids are. Funny things! the robins are tame as well, they'll come really close to take free offerings.

    Leathering bait in by hand will fuck your swim. Put it through a feeder and cast more regularly and accurately and lower it down onto your spot, with as least disturbance as possible. Tighter your feeding area the quicker the bites...line em up eh!

    • @bryn3652
      @bryn3652 2 года назад

      Don't you think the the feeder spooks the barbel?
      I prefer to feed with catapult and use pva much less disturbance than a feeder crashing in every 15 minutes

    Hi
    Good video thanks.
    Can I just ask are you left or right handed?

    • @Micks.barbelfishing.adventures
      @Micks.barbelfishing.adventures  4 года назад

      I am right handed. But I prefer my reel handle on the right to. Strangely lol 🎣

      I thought you were and couldn't understand why you had the handle on the right. It's much easier controlling the rod with your right when your right handed. Especially with big fish on. Suppose each to their own though.

    hi mike what is that method mix and name of main line please

  • @tapstar3567

    Hi Mick, great vids, but yam caggy handed bud, your right handed and look wierd reeling right handed, when you should be controling the rod with ya right hand and reeling in left handed mucca, just saying you just look uncomfortable buddy.
