Today I am building the Axial SCX10 Pro kit, a competition style chassis with steel tubed axles and flat aluminium frame rails. Add to that a few known features such as helically cut ring and pinion gears, a high clearance pinion, high clearance rear lower links, hardware in low wear spots and much more, and you have yourself an easy to assemble, hardcore terrain tackler. The transmission allows for a 40% shiftable underdrive when using a micro servo. The motor is mounted with a very extremely low COG in mind, and the front allows you to either mount a servo on axle, or as I opted for, a chassis mounted servo. Opposed to some of its competitors you will find that the SCX10Pro also has a space for a servo winch.

Best thing i did with mine was get rid of the stock springs for losi mini t rear springs it chaned the whole rig performed way better cheers hemistorm

I have the scx10.2 kit not the pro and i used a hobbywing fusion SE 1800kv in it and its perfect for crawling. It has good speed but when you want to go slow it will barely move nice and smooth

That looks really cool. If you're looking for wheel ideas, I'd recommend Duratrax 1.9 Deep Woods... soft, "sticky", great grip, look awesome.

Since you’re such a great carpenter I suggest you make a body out of wood for this to counteract all of this goofy comp stuff.

Hey Chris, Great Video! I've seen several Pro builds but I think you covered all the 'new exciting' differences the best.
I think you'll be impressed with your build whatever body you pick from the other 'run' videos I've seen.
Eventually, I guess I'll have to get one for my fleet. I've got enough that it must be a fleet.

Depending on what set of rules your local club uses I would suggest either the cliffhanger that is wide enough to cover the inside edge of the front tires/ tyres or in my case ( Australia) I went with the power wagon as I have no local club and the departure angle is maximised. The only major upgrade I have made is a spur gear cover because I do trail running.
There a great rig stock Chris you will enjoy driving it.
I really want to want one of these, but facts are it simply can’t outperform an ecto with a few slight mods for a considerable amount less
