I had a pro kit that I hadn’t built yet. The carbon rails and a lot of brass parts were on sale so I bought the portal axle upgrade and built 2 scx pros (1 straight axle and 1 portal) out of one kit and spare parts.
@@TrokaRC it’s nice that these run Capra outer gears. Basically you could install OD Treal ring and pinions and get close to the stock K10 ratios of the straight axles.
@@TrokaRC the Treal AR45 ring and pinion set in over drive along with a spool for the front and back and stock portal gear ratio for the AR45P should get you close to straight axle ratios.

Nice!
Holy $#/+ those brass portal covers are massive!!! You remember what they weigh?
96.8 grams
Did you just buy the capra portal covers?
They are the same as Capra and scx10.3 portal covers and use the same gear sets.
Those axles look stoudt!!! If you have used them before how do they compare to the Vanquish?
@@haroldscheg tough as nails and a bit heavier than the vanquish styles.
Did you mention prototype?
@@TrokaRC technically yes. I did this video a long time ago but forgot to make it public. I’m a dummy….. lol
@@ateaserc Reason for the question was due to running all treal on my 10.3 k10. Doing dig and figuring out gearing in portals next.

@@ateaserc Nice I see, what gearing is it to pick it up?
