How long are the leaf springs?
Super clean rig. Stoked to see the directions people are taking the H10. I just scored an H10 cage on eBay and planning to piece together a portal/rear-steer setup. I’ll be coming back for inspo!

I’m building a custom Sparkle Smash and I was curious how challenging it would be to change out the chassis to paint or upgrade it…this looked brutal

I got an H10 in my ToF box and it came with Vanquish machined gears and I had to tap the axle in on one side as well. All Vanquish parts. I actually like that it's a tight fit. There's less drivetrain slop that way. I wish more parts had that tight tolerance.
Heck yea! I’m just glad I wasn’t alone in the experience, lol.
The only bad thing is you lose all the performance with all that heavy excess.
@@zanderflander7880 while that is true, this build is and always was about building a rig that could be used reliably. It now has a Castle 1010 series motor in it and has no issues performing.

@@TrokaRC technically yes. I did this video a long time ago but forgot to make it public. I’m a dummy….. lol
@@ateaserc Reason for the question was due to running all treal on my 10.3 k10. Doing dig and figuring out gearing in portals next.
@@TrokaRC it’s nice that these run Capra outer gears. Basically you could install OD Treal ring and pinions and get close to the stock K10 ratios of the straight axles.
@@ateaserc Nice I see, what gearing is it to pick it up?
@@TrokaRC the Treal AR45 ring and pinion set in over drive along with a spool for the front and back and stock portal gear ratio for the AR45P should get you close to straight axle ratios.
Those axles look stoudt!!! If you have used them before how do they compare to the Vanquish?
@@haroldscheg1724 tough as nails and a bit heavier than the vanquish styles.

That is a lot of overkill for a trail truck. What is that like 15 $1800 plus your time put in too much for me, but it looks nice. Good job.

Dlux brass front knuckles for scx 10ii will fit the optic. Just order one extra arm with it. So you’ll use two arms on the passenger side

So the Nano does work fine in the utb18? Ive heard yes an no until i seen this video an would honestly like to know. I currently have the crawlmaster 380 18t in it.
I ran an entire trail, the Castle trail of course, at Axialfest Badlands this past weekend without any issues.

I found that amount of rub to be acceptable. Helps keep the rear from flopping around a bit.

It’s a very well built cage. I’m having a little trouble getting the Rock pirates Capra skid to line up properly but that’s kinda expected mixing manufactures on any custom builds.
Are ur riots 2.2 or 1.9. And if 2.2 how ya like the narrow width

They are the new 2.2 narrows. They are fantastic on the H10 with a 350 hub

What hexes did you use?
Narrow 12mm hex from KnK hardware
Notice a gear ratio change between the 2 transmissions?
It’s a noticeably better ratio and now I can adjust the overdrive inside the transmission
