We will be downloading and trying your gates out on the page. I was just designing the same type of thing last night but never got through it before i saw yours on this video. Great content and will be sure to tell everyone who made the gates that will be featured. Enjoy all your videos. Keep it up!
I really enjoyed these comparisons! I have neither one, and no preference between them. But like you mentioned, keep in mind all the many, many different variables between the two vehicles. I'm anxious to see what you do with them. Hope you get to feeling all better soon! 🙂
Nice to see you back sir. I wish your health will get better & better. Love your channel & your reviews. It has really help me with this hobby I've just started with.😊
Great comparison! I printed your gate case and lid in grey ABS without support and it turned out quite good. The gates I did in gold and green PLA. Great little addition to my crawler bag.
Thank you, this was very useful to me. Currently looking hard at the Stance, and its closest competitors. Your work here definitely helps me feel better about team Stance.
It's a great rig if you're cool with RTR, though do consider the Carbon. Better quality gears and a nicer rig, though the Stance is still reasonable value for money and probably the best performing 1/10 RTR crawler of its type. Cheers
Good seeing you out on the course crawling, good to hear your recovering well. That was a nice comparison between the Stant & the Pro, liked the fact you used the same wheels & tires to help level the playing field.
Good to see you back and all the best with your recovery. I am suffering from poor health also and I am a content creator to so I really feel your pain (or not) fingers and toes crossed for you old chap TTFN
Great comparison. I'm looking forward to your upgrades on the pro. Hope you get fully recovered soon. Cheers from a wet and cold USA. Come on summer time.
I have the VRD Carbon and the Pro. The VRD has about 1/4" better belly clearance but the Pro has slightly better footing. Both of my trucks run Squid "ncerts" and JConcept Megalithic tires. I too was considering portals for the Pro......but I'm afraid I will then have two identically capable trucks. Wishing you well and a full recovery!!!
Happy to see you again! Hpe the health is going in the good way. Impressive to see the Vanquish performing so well for a RTR. Hobbytech has just put their own scale perf truck. Another contender in the category.
Thank you 😊 Yes, the SCX10 Pro is due some big upgrades, portals included. My VRD Carbon kit just arrived yesterday, too, so a kit vs kit will be a worthwhile undertaking also, I think.
Man you had me on the edge of my seat with the SCX10 Pro I didn't think you was going to make it you know they did just drop those portal axles I would like to see them up against the vrd great video
Haha yes, the benefit of portals seems enough to overcome the slight centre of gravity loss! The scx10 pro will benefit from them, for sure. I'll get a set once I can source them locally. Currently, shipping is another 60% on top of the purchase price, which IMO is already quite steep. But I will get to them!
Hey I didn't even realize bro you had shot a response I don't even know how you see them like when somebody shoots you a response to a message where the hell do you even look
You do know like stress is one of the biggest things that can possibly come against our well-being like our health our physical health much love and God bless you brother
Thanks Scott! I didn't ask for help that day even though you said you were nearby because I was awaiting a call from a surgeon and needed to jump back to Werribee at short notice. But it worked out okay in the end, I got all 4 features filmed, lunch in, and he called when I was driving back, so it ended up being a good day. Nice spot, this!
@@RCTNT Awesome! That's great 👍 I'll potentially be doing a few crawls up at the You Yangs over the next Sunday's. Will all be posted in the FB group 🤙 Need to get a few bodies painted to have crawlers ready to go 😆
@S9RUT have fun! Don't forget our comp on the 24th. It's the same distance for you as the You Yangs are for me, but it should be a great day. Catch you there or at the next one!
Hello Again! Nice to see you! Well, for a non-scientific comparison I found this quite useful and timely. I'm going to get a new vehicle in the next month or so and was initially looking for a trail truck that I could potentially build into a comp crawler but then the Stance came along and threw its hat in the ring. It seems to perform very well right out of the box and while I do like tinkering, this truck seems to be ready to compete right away which is very convenient. Thanks a bunch for the video! Take Care!
G'day Chris, thanks, I'm glad it was useful 😊 Felt good to get out! I trailed with the Stance on a social run recently and it went surprisingly well. Easy to recommend.
Welcome back my friend definitely missed your content being it’s been raining here a lot in the Calif. 805 area I’ve spent more time indoors but have builds to work on but it’s Saturday & it’s going to be a sunny dry weekend thankfully. I’m still keeping an open mind but I plan on getting the Vanquish still not sure if it’ll be the RTR or kit. I’d like to see Axial come out with a RTR version of the Pro just like Vanquish did with the VRD.
Dude Awsome comparison! Going to grab my utb chasis my friend printed for me youndesigned super pumped to try it. She made me two so gonna give one away too!
Pretty cool and fair comparison. Oh yeah, filming driving AND talking is not easy. I tried it today, and paid for it with a few crashes but it was fun 😁 ..Glad to see you back, sir!
Awesome review mate 👍glad I bought the vrd stance rtr over the axial pro lol…. Can’t wait for you to get the vrd kit and compare to axial pro kit.. May good health come to you also mate as we all love your content 👍👍
Nice to see you back bro, really enjoyed that, am not a technical crawler, i just crawl, soothe,s my head, lol, learn something about compo crawling, and some technics, nice one 😁😉👍
A Fusion SE with a decent direct power servo would improve the Stance for sure. Possibly increasing anti squat to help transfer more weight onto the front tires for the steep climbs. Maybe a rear link riser coupled with a little more front weight?
@@RCTNT Oh yeah I didn't even mention the outrunner but one of those with a little AM32 setup is fantastic. I have a rhino setup waiting to be installed in one rig. Yank the castle esc for something lighter and without the castle whine lol
Welcome back man, glad to see you're feeling better. I'm looking at using your gates but I want to make some modifications, do you have any preferences towards modifications of your files?
Thanks, will be going through it for a while yet but it's an invisible illness and I can still get out and about, so cheers to that! Go nuts with the files, so whatever you like for private use. Just please don't share any remixes on the usual 3dp sites, please, as I'm using my free files as a traffic driver to my website and file sharing basically erodes that value for me. Thank you and enjoy!
Thanks. We're not out of the woods yet but I got a morning in to film a few videos last week, so we have a bit of material to get us through the next month, thankfully. I expect things will start to settle into a liveable rhythm from May, hopefully!
Sometimes bro you would be better to like bump up like come up to it and then it's bumping hope you clear the gate you know that's one thing I can see would be positive criticism I really appreciate what you do and I will thankful for what you do I just really think that the Vanquish is a better rig
Sure, there are a few ways to approach gates and obstacles. Different rigs need different approaches. Even just different foams or tires can affect the optimal approach to an obstacle. It's a wonderful nuanced thing, technical crawling. Cheers for sharing your wisdom 👍
I don’t expect a responsive, but if you happen to see this, I have a question. I currently have a Capra and comp TRX4 I lend to friends when they come over but I’m looking for a new crawler and I want it to be able to keep up with the Capra and maybe eventually do comp with however I really like the axial JLU bodies and even something like the gladiator or basecamp bodies. Do you think I could get the VRD and throw one of those bodies on and have it look good or would I be better off getting something else (what would you recommend for that)
It all depends on what kind of comp you're after. What rules and what class do you envision here? My next video drops in 4 hours and I think it might be of interest! (SCX10.3 JLU converted to Scale-1 (C1) comp rig. Nationals are next weekend and this car should be a strong contender. Some other thoughts: - Gladiator's longer wheelbase is a disadvantage in comp terrain. I've driven JLU vs Gladiator on the channel here and JLU wins easily. - cross rc emo at4/JT4 are comparable to trx4, if you like that kind of car. - Element Ecto is a stone cold killer, with good P/Scale (C2) potential - base camp isn't far off Ecto performance level - vanquish vrd blows all of the above away - but their big tires and nice foams are a considerable factor there. Heavier, more scale body on such a rig may make a big, negative difference. Again, depends on the class and ruleset you're considering.
@@RCTNT oh awesome, well I’m not big into super scale stuff just like the looks of the axial stuff but I’m probably going to do C2 once I’m ready. In the mean time I just want something that looks cool and performs well that I can upgrade over time and eventually turn it into a comp crawler.
So in that case, the ones you named are going to be capable, but really scx10 pro and vanquish stance and carbon will be where the upper end of performance is.
Nice. I've just bought the vrd carbon kit and all vanquish parts to build it, electronics aside. I'm looking forward to the comparison with the Stance and with the scx10 pro. Cheers for that
Welcome back sir. I am a new VRD Stance owner. Thanks for the comparison. Prayers for a complete and quick recovery.
Many thanks 🙏
I like how you used the same wheels/tires on both. Hope you are feeling better mate.

It's coming. But we can perhaps guess how it will go on these rocks anyway, if the Stance did so well already!
Will the pro body fit the stance .
The holes are going to be wrong obviously but the wheelbase is about right and you can trim to fit. Yeah, it's close enough to work with, I think.
