To this day, if I feel like joining 2b2t I'm still using a little Python script that parses the Minecraft log file every few seconds, extrapolates the remaining queue time and uploads it to a web server so I can check from my phone. Obviously it's always way off since it grinds to a halt once you get down to ~120ish where you start competing with the priority queue.
To think that Rusher actually helped with a major problem on the server and offered a solution while also watching and making the server crumble in chaos between his community and the 2b2t community is pretty crazy. TheCampingRusher did actually help a lot. When he uploaded the video, he almost immediatly realized the servers were filling up, and worked with Hausemaster to make the queue system.
I think the veteran queue should have had something to do with how long the player has been on the server, like if they have played on it for 50 hours they get into veteran queue
There are accounts that usually AFK in the game, one guy could get in once, use baritone or something and then AFK somewhere safe, keep the account going until the amount of hours is met and then it's done. Said player could potentially bot the account so it would just roam around AFKing. I don't think time requirements are good enough, it's easily exploitable.

The servers limitations can also be seen technically. I wonder how much more performance 2b2t could get if its’ back end was written in Go or Rust instead of some old Java. Imagine if suddenly twice the player count is supported.
The multiplayer framework is seperate from the java client, and java isnt even a slow or bad language in terms of speed. Changing what language its written in wouldnt really make it faster
Back sometime in 2020 or maybe early 2021 I got home got on minecraft and saw the wait line. It was like 6 hours so I left it running. After a few hours there was like 100 people left in front of me so I waited another hour and got in. I then proceeded to die a few times while avoiding nether portals because I was afraid of traps. I walked like 5000 blocks away from spawn and then died of fall damage. I got off then. That was my experience with the server and I haven't played it since.
Damn, the amount of "passive" income the admin must get from hosting this server is insane. 4 people paying priority pays for the server (according to the screenshot in the vid). Man must be living good, and honestly good for him. A niche hustle hosting the oldest anarchy server on Minecraft.
Wait hold on, someone once got plucked out of the queue? Can't just leave us hanging. Why did it happen? Was it because of something they did? If so, what was the act was so egregious even by the standards of 2B2T that they were manually removed?
@2:59 my 1.5 seconds of fame - my username in a FitMC 2b2t video! And yes, being a member of the veteran queue was almost as good as having priority queue. The problem was once you got in the TPS was often so low it made actual playing difficult.
When the server restarts, it is actually sometimes possible to skip the queue (or atleast get a shorter time in the queue) if you reconnect fast enough. You need to spam the connect button as fast and as many times as possible after a restart when the server is shown as offline. If you manage to click it right at the moment it gets online again (when all the players are reconnecting at the same time) you might be able to get on the server without any queue. I managed to do it a few times but it doesn't work everytime as it depends on the speed of your internet and your client.
They could have 4 different levels of queue that progress at different speeds. Tier 4 - Free Tier 3 - $5 a Month Tier 2 - $20 a Month Tier 1 - $100 a Month Then the Queue world work by letting one person in per Tier in at a time, cycling through the 4 tiers. And of course skipping a tier Q if it's empty.
Last time I played I got to first in the queue and the server proceeded to crash :( I thought it was my pc failing to enter the server so by the time I realised that it was a crash and had re-joined the queue, I was 150th place. Started originally at 520th. L :(
I remember like a week ago I wanted to play 2b2t because of a video made by u FitMC but the cue was like about 400 people and had to be afk for hours, then it randomly kicked me
Couldn't they added a tracker to how long you've played on the server and made that the requirement for the vet queue? Something like 100 hours on the server got you access to vet queue instead of the join date.
I bought raycons for myself once before, and they're pretty bad, theres like no top or mid end only low end (bass) and yes, they are advertised to have "extra bass" but it's almost nothing but bass. They work but i dont reccomend buying them. 2/10
How about implement some sort of smart queue system? If 2b2t is getting more attention than usual then server automatically increases in size, if less then decreases.
They should separate the server into 5 servers, for the 5 parts of the map (spawn chunks and 4 corners). TP people between servers when they pass server regions, and you can handle 5x the players.
@@zaneatat It can, you legit make 5 servers with the same map, then when a player goes outside of the allowed coordinates for one server you send them to the correct server.

But then when I was trying to get out of the bedrock I was in, he turns around and starts end crystalling me, as I was stuck on bedrock no joke I just gave a totem to a random guy 5 minutes before this, I had 3 left and boy all 3 disappeared in a second, I barely made it out of that nether alive. Fitmc clearly gets his workouts by lifting the gigantic books of 2b2t lore.
Finding a way to efficiently and safely multi-thread Minecraft, at least on multiplayer, may greatly expand the server’s capacity.
The servers limitations can also be seen technically. I wonder how much more performance 2b2t could get if its’ back end was written in Go or Rust instead of some old Java. Imagine if suddenly twice the player count is supported.
Mc servers can only run off of Java
The multiplayer framework is seperate from the java client, and java isnt even a slow or bad language in terms of speed. Changing what language its written in wouldnt really make it faster
Binge watching these 2b2t vids while I'm stuck in the hospital for asthma complications. Thanks for the entertainment Fit!
I had a similar experience.
It's only the 15th of January, and I can say Christmas came early this year. FITMC UPLOADED ANOTHER VIDEO!!!!!
that moment when you wait 14 hours to get into the server only for the server to restart
Its basically lottery. You either lose or win.
I literally went to sleep in a queue once, only to wake up to being encased in an obsidian box with just me and my fists.
Well F. Lmao
@@CHRF-55457 I broke out, didn't wanna admit that I just did all that for nuthin'.
@@xdarin_ dude you MINED for 8 minutes straight?
Loved it the video was well put together :)
I joined 2b2t once and got on the server almost immediately.
Only now I realize how lucky that was.
3 seconds in and hes already said "the oldest anarchy server in minecraft"
I bought Raycons a while ago using your code! They are the best earbuds I have ever used.
I haven't joined this server once but i love watching videos related to this lmao!
Watching this video while waiting in the queue is a totally different experience.
The oldest anarchy server in Minecraft - 0:02
not even two seconds 😭😭😭
True
Fit's marathon number at 1:01 is 2621, which looks like 2b2t
would look more like it if it was 2827
every time i get motivated to try this server im not motivated to play it anymore by the time im through queue
Neat analysis video! Thanks for uploading!
@2:59 my 1.5 seconds of fame - my username in a FitMC 2b2t video!
And yes, being a member of the veteran queue was almost as good as having priority queue. The problem was once you got in the TPS was often so low it made actual playing difficult.
a
Nice 👍
Yo funny thing happened, the midroll ad was i think it's rusher's ad about 2b2t
This man single-handedly made my ADHD ass more interested in the history of a block game than regular history
Someone's probably gunna write some third party client for that.
7:05
I wonder who's to blame for that.
They could have 4 different levels of queue that progress at different speeds.
Tier 4 - Free
Tier 3 - $5 a Month
Tier 2 - $20 a Month
Tier 1 - $100 a Month
Then the Queue world work by letting one person in per Tier in at a time, cycling through the 4 tiers. And of course skipping a tier Q if it's empty.
100 dollars a month is outrageous for a mc server
Can't believe the QUEUE has better history than real world stuff lmao
🗿

ikr
big funny moment
It’s more like fits narrating skills
I love you fit, welcome back
Last time I played I got to first in the queue and the server proceeded to crash :( I thought it was my pc failing to enter the server so by the time I realised that it was a crash and had re-joined the queue, I was 150th place. Started originally at 520th. L :(
I remember like a week ago I wanted to play 2b2t because of a video made by u FitMC but the cue was like about 400 people and had to be afk for hours, then it randomly kicked me
1:45 to skip the sponsor
Hausemaster must have been rolling in dough during the peak of covid. Holy moly.
Couldn't they added a tracker to how long you've played on the server and made that the requirement for the vet queue? Something like 100 hours on the server got you access to vet queue instead of the join date.
your so right man
awesome video fit :D
You inspired me so much that i had to bought minecraft just to join 2b2t and get trapped in a nether portal, best 2b2t minecraft youtuber ever
theres other much better servers to play
Btw you can't get trapped anymore rejoin 2b2t and there's a time limit of you are in a portal for more than 15 seconds it will send you back
I remember trying to play this once. Got up, joined the que, went to school, came back, was still in the que, never bothered trying again…
I bought raycons for myself once before, and they're pretty bad, theres like no top or mid end only low end (bass) and yes, they are advertised to have "extra bass" but it's almost nothing but bass. They work but i dont reccomend buying them. 2/10
And it’s sad because everyone is advertising them
How about implement some sort of smart queue system? If 2b2t is getting more attention than usual then server automatically increases in size, if less then decreases.
Imagine someone is trying to weaponize the queue.
someone did 💀💀
they tracked bases using it
Nobody:
FitMC: MINECRAFTS OLDEST ANARCHY SERVER
Props to the everyone in basic queue for waiting 12 hours to play a block game
LMFAO
No one:
Fit: ON THE OLDEST ANARCHY SEVRER IN MINECRAFT
Who else watches this video while in que position 257 apart from me?
I wish 2b2t can make queue kind of like purity vanillas queue because to be honest I like to play on the queue server of purity when I am bored
They should separate the server into 5 servers, for the 5 parts of the map (spawn chunks and 4 corners). TP people between servers when they pass server regions, and you can handle 5x the players.
I don't think minecraft can do that...
Still nice idea tho
@@zaneatat It can, you legit make 5 servers with the same map, then when a player goes outside of the allowed coordinates for one server you send them to the correct server.
@@breezyx976 that would be quite difficult to code , sending people to other servers from another server is so difficult to code with java noone has done it yet
@@CertifiedBoykisser2 I mean.. bungeecord?
@@CertifiedBoykisser2 Laughs in Hypixel having hundreds of servers running simultaneously (Maybe the issue is I said "servers" instead of "worlds"? Anyways I just mean multiple minecraft worlds running simultaneously, but same map and each one only runs for people in a specific part, so people in the same cords will always be able to interact)
The queue actually makes it impossible to play on the server.
Honestly the stories I've been told about the 2b2t queue are a main reason I haven't even attempted to join yet.
I’ve tried joining at 0400 and 0600 am EST and still queue is literally 300 people. Can’t even join.
I have a life I don’t have time to “pre join” 4-8 hours in advance lmao
my first and only time ever playing 2b I waited in queue for like 9 hours
I am a week new on 2B2T, I was befriended by someone wanting to base and stuff. met on the X+ highway, got to overworld and he tried to steal my kits. He took the time to lure me out to get shulkers out to then murder me with no one around. Luckily I flew away in time but he was SO CLOSE in stealing a shulker I put on ground..
I also was flying by nether spawn, I like to just give people god apples and stuff idk. I saw this guy way down on crappy bedrock, I crash land really badly basically getting stuck in the bedrock right next to this random guy.
I wasnt worried because he had no gear on, I just wanted to give him some apples!
That random guy I tried to help almost took all the stuff on me which was a lot more than a few apples.
That is my story for now.. I did record footage of me escaping spawn and everything on my own so I hope to make that a video too!
That’s 2bt2 lolz. Full of assholes and degenerates, and the reason why videos about it are so interesting
