Best demo out there at present cheers MG.
This software is dope 🙏🏿🔥 so glad to be apart of the beta
I’m liking it so far mg
This is dope! thanks MG..
Dope, actually going to buy serato sample today and just vibe with that.
Circling back through after seeing a demo at A3C! Now that the subscription costs are known, it is a no brainer versus buying Sample outright! Your comments about the speed of production were clearly ahead of the learning curve for anyone! 🌶🏆💯🙌🏾
Cool new toy thanks for sharing MG.
Great vid man.
Just downloaded the trail. Totally inspired by this review!! Damn!!
Dope beat , fast work flow
This is dope!!!
thank bro love the review this is a killer especially if you can use your dj controller dope
Dope tutorial, MG. Serato Studio is looking very good
Thanks!!!
This has a lot of potential... Thanks...
Excellent video!
Thanks!
No problem!
Every other daw is going to have to simplify music production to keep up with serato studio the fact they do all the work for you and they allow you to get you idea fast is huge bruh
dope program ,i would like to see trap done with it, wasn't able to get beta hopfully it comes out soon thanks for review mg
Dope!
🙏🏽🔥
So they're competition is Maschine and MPC Live. I like jow theyre marketing it as a "sketching" DAW i already thought Reason should go this route and actually Waveform should too.
Was waiting for it! Knew you was going to drop a vid! That’s what’s up
🙌
Mercury retrograde is over
This has the potential to be really dope. I wouldn't be surprised if they drop a dedicated controller
All the DDJs work it seems. If so, they already have several controllers.
It would also be dope if they added a couple banks to the pads for more slices
Bomb Instagram earlier bro. Mind blown.
My guy 💯
Been looking into experimenting with different DAWS MG like the avatar he makes 🔥 in all the daws
Dope! I have the Beta version as well & have been waiting for the Official MGTF Review. From what's I've heard Serato Studio is going the Subscription route but maybe we can help influence them to change that by participating on the pubic beta forum. Either Way this Looks like a Game Changer. Thanks for Sharing!
you were looking for "session view" there haha I always forget too
Fire
wow thanks =)
Yes hope it doesn’t go subscription only but doesn’t look good. Found it a little CPU intensive .
🔥
Maaaannn, that's not even fair!!!
Yeah this is a problem! It’s bout to get crazy!
Can you sample INTO this? Like from records directly in?! Just downloaded this this morning and I have no idea where or how. If I gotta record samples into something else it's gonna be a no
This program's lit! Glad I got in the beta before they closed the registration. Really hope it's not subscription based tho.
What's the name of that tape plug in?
I don't see this replacing fl studio at the moment and totally forget it if there is subscription or a dongle. Hate both of those.
This is a good app for getting a spark of inspiration before exporting/ transferring the stems over to a DAW to finish a full track... That is if they add that functionality. I also wouldn't mind seeing it as a multi- out VST similar to what FL offers. This seems more like Serato Sample 2 XL. As a production tool it's not quite ready for primetime. I understand that it's a beta but it's missing MANY features that we take for granted as basic. Count me out of the subscription model though, I'm good off that.
I love it so far, haven't needed to reach for anything when focused on a sample based workflow at least. Yeah, the subscription is tricky - but seemingly every platform is racing that direction.
@@MGTheFuture I messed with it for a couple hours last night. It's definitely dope and has a lot of potential.
Hopefully they deliver.
Mad as hell I missed the Beta!!! Really mad!!!!
Temporary closed
open again
Nice presentation. Can this be used as a vst inside of another DAW?
That’s called serato sample
this a good nice >> nice killa
Ayeee
We basically need to flood Serato with a “No Subscription!” movement
LOL, hopefully they offer a perpetual license or connect the subscription to content maybe?
Didn’t work tho
Bruh ill gladly pay for the program but that subscription shit gotta go
Subscriptions are the way to go. For people who otherwise can't afford the full price
Serato studio crashes & closes as soon as I open loopcloud as a plugin??????
Maybe, just maybe, if they come out with a dedicated controller on par with maschine i’d consider using this personally honestly. Cause this looks dope but i prefer being able to work on mostly hardware without having to look at a pc screen.
All the ddjs works...rolands... pioneers etc. Especially the trigger pad ones
🙏
@mgthefuture how do you import your own samples in windows I can't figure it out peace!
Doesn't work driving me nuts
@@MGTheFuture for any other idiot like me its Window sign E then drag in lol🤣🤣
Sorry where can I find this spicy sundays podcast?
My Channel Playlist (TWIHH)
Wat up pack. I see you. I been trying to find u on twitch. I'll be joining the discord soon too. Just getting my shit together.
🙏
might be a challenge without swing, however, if you're up to it, maybe try a Mujo type beat on this software?
Yeah, I'm waiting for swing / groove fr fr
it has swing now
Do a 808 mafia trap beat for everyone
why are getting 8 pads instead of 16 pads like Serato Sample???
Likely due to most controllers having 8 pads
🐺🐺🐺
Can you check out cakewalk sonar?
The free one? Isn't it PC only?
MG The Future I think so. It never dawned on me that you were a mac guy
Easy money shit is hard! Thanks
Np!
Can you export stems or just the whole track?
Out here asking the real questions. On top of this can u bounce out an individual stem. Like basically freeze/bounce down a track or section?
Not yet
Yeah, that was my thought too. Hopefully you can end up with good exporting options so you can bounce it out and mix elsewhere with all the freedom you need
A subscription makes sense for something like Splice Sounds, but it sure as heck don’t make sense for a DAW!
Scary hours
Prob the best piece of gear thats come out of New Zealand. Looks like a great program, But sadly I will still keep it 1hun with FL and only mess with Seratosample when I get beatblock LOL.
Yeah, its definitely made for the beginners of loop game or advanced sample based dudes. If you deal in a lot of midi, it may not be ideal...yet
@@MGTheFuture | luv the content you posting up man. I would try and catch any Livestreams but New Zealand/Australia timestamps are outta wack lol
Have you seen the synthstrom deluge? that thing is crazy, like a more creative, touchscreen-less mpc/synth/ powerful sequencer. New Zealand cranking these days
Make a trap beat in it or Another lofi ... anyway this with like a sample drum or vocal extract fx its over. 🔥🔥
This is closer to what I’ve been looking for, in terms of a DAW as an instrument itself.
What I mean is that I want to be able to change the tempo in realtime (or via an assignable LFO) if I want to - same thing with pitch. The irony is that my Elektron Octatrack performance sampler can do this kind of thing as a piece of hardware, but most software DAW developers have failed to see the creative possibilities of enabling a DAW song project itself to be treated more flexibly. I think that Presonus are trying, e.g. with some of the more recently updated tempo change features, the enhanced pattern mode (and even the rollout of Atom). But even with Studio One you’re still coming from a linear DAW...ummm...”lineage’ and trying to get to a more flexible feature set as a developer.
This could be big if Serato add the RIGHT features (i.e. really listen to users’).
Logic Pro X you can assign any controller to the tempo track and live perform tempo changes in. Good for film scoring.
@@TutsAndBeats WHHAAATTTT?!!!!
This alone may inspire me to replace the MacBoik Pro that crashed August 1st last year!
@@jessetaldotcom hahaha if u ever need help message me and I'll show u but tbh most daws have a tempo track sometimes it's just hidden...I think?
Also a lot of ppl hate on logic, but for 200$ only? That thing is a workhorse, if not a work(around)horse. Not great for music theory hacking but has some stuff. All the tools u need to create are there though, sometimes the process isnt as smooth as say s1
@@TutsAndBeats So true! Logic has to win when it comes to bang-for-the-buck!
now I can serato all the samples
Words Connect
Beta is full :[
That moved fast, too fast
@@MGTheFuture yeah, shame, suppose they don't wanna lose control of the beta. Didn't know you were on Twitch til you mentioned it here, I don't love Twitch but it's so much more chill than RUclips
It's an interesting platform, with a lot of immediate benefits for creators. We have a lot of fun over there. Smaller group (for now) - easy to respond to chat
you and your ninja DAW hacks llz
Missed beta ....womp womp :/
Temporarily
Whata Time To Be Alive
For real for real.
I love serato sample and dj, but I'll take maschine over this studio software.
Nothing wrong with that, some people like old school workflows.
Its a shame how there has been NO UPDATES to Serato sample requested by the users. Now they put up a beta for studio. Thanks Serato for listening to the end user. I for one ain't going for studio.
Sounds like they re-routed resources to develop this (back then). Lets see what happens
@@MGTheFuture Yeah lets see...
I own Serato Sample and I'm one of those who complained it's plug-in only- so this looks interesting - BUT subscription = deal breaker. If I managed to avoid Adobe subs I can easily avoid Serato. Developers should congratulate their business department for turning their good work into a pre release FAIL.
They still got time
@@MGTheFuture As someone might say - Just keeping' them WOKE.
Go Timbaland or Pharrell with the next example.
Alrighty - VA and Metro
Idk, if it's anything like serato sample I'm expecting overpriced, half-baked abandonware on release.........
Ouch
@@MGTheFuture Calling it overpriced prob not fair cuz that's subjective and depending on someones workflow it might be a great investment for them. I can admit I'm just salty there cuz I paid thinking they were gonna be as responsive as they were during the beta ,then radio silence after. But for my own usage, all I can say is, at least 90% of the time I use Serato, I'm also using another sampler to make up for it's drawbacks. I mostly treat it as a glorified way to audition pitch/tempo changes and then resample into another sampler for any other manipulation + chopping/using with controller, etc. From this video you noted some of the missing features hoping that's just the beta and they'll update in the future. I truly hope they do, but from my exp with Serato sample, I wouldn't trust it enough to pay again before the updates are already made. That's just me though.
Nah...
Sorry but it can't kill the vastness of FL. Two very different tools.
Form or function?
@@MGTheFuture FL studio is a sound design, midi sequencing, plugin, plugin host, modular daw ... Yes both make beats ... But there is more to it than groove making
This genre of lofi hiphop have to die. It does appeal to nothing in fact
