When you were dealing with that 808, I finally caught on to the allure of this DAW. It's simple, limited, yet good at what it does do.
It's quick and causes you to just jam out instead of doing a lot of DAW-imposed, on-the-spot preparations requiring precise metrics (which tends to get in the way of creativity).

Another thing... the power of simple bread and butter sounds (e.g. soundfonts and GM sound canvas) is often slept on. Effects can liven up the thinnest and stalest of sounds.

Well, if my objective was to impress the guy with an Oxygen Midi and playlist of struggle mixing tutorials, I would indeed just post me making a beat. But when I post a tutorial I made in 20 minutes to explain to everyone else how to make their own beats, I'd have a guy with struggle beats on his channel wishing I'd explain how I did it. Just like Lil Was X & Billboard, there is no winners.
