That's the metronome - you can turn it off at the top left of the Studio display, next to the Quantize :)

As I always say, I'm all for more options for creativity, but being a long time FL Studio user, I personally am not interested in *learning a new workflow.* I'd much rather have something that allows me to continue with the workflow I've grown accustomed to, but adds more functionality.
That said, it looks like a good product for someone who may be new to music production or someone who enjoys using multiple platforms to create.

This program is amazing, I would add an "o shit I forgot to record button" so for us folks that can't really play the keys can have the idea they just randomly played.

The sequencer is severely lacking in version 1.0. I would like to see more features like say to be able to control the length of each sequence to say 1/1 /1/4 1/6 etc.

How do I get serato to play the full audio sample without looping back to the beginning every 3 seconds?

It sounds like you may need to change your Cue play mode to Trigger Mode, I would recommend getting in touch with our support team who can lend a hand in regards to this :)

Sure.
Can you add swing to an individual drum pattern instead of the whole drum pattern?
You can't add swing to one element in a drum kit/pattern at this point in time, but what you can do is re-add the element you are wanting to swing (eg. hi-hat or snare on its own) and add swing to that one element so it doesn't affect the drum kit/pattern you already have.
When I select the genre there are no presets appearing. When I choose from All Drum Kits and select a genre, no matter what genre I select I still get the same 13 choices of drum beats. Nothing changes. Any reason why?

How do you pan???
You will need to add the Pan FX to one of the FX slots.
i downloaded serato studio it came with no kits and when i download kits it does nothing and it shows nothing in my library

you can just use mp3 is easyer and if you don't find the beat you want use mp3 go to Yt and go to the song you want then copy all of the hot bar then go to mp3 and pasta the hot bar you copyed and press the only button and it well download

Click on a scene and press delete on your keyboard.

@@mbf6160 yup same thing for instruments and also when u chop up a sample u can simply press the number which the sample is allocated to on the keyboard and press delete and itll remove that cue point from the sample.

I still think Image-line's claim that FL Studio is *"the fastest way from your brain to your speakers."* is true. This looks like a good product though.
We need copy and paste options, ability to grab notes in a group, and more wave interaction in the arrangement area. Thank you #@serato
If you hold down the shift key you can click and drag a selection for a group of notes. Awesome feed back though feel free to pop this in our feature suggestions area :)

You want to highlight the scene by clicking on it, and then pressing delete on your keyboard.

Scenario:
I choose a preset drum pattern by clicking - Hip Hop
I click on - Hip Hop - again for a different preset drum pattern
Now I want to go back to the last drum pattern I was on. Do click on undo to do so?
Correct. Just click the keyboard shortcut for undo - CTRL+Z (Windows)/ Command+Z (Mac)

Something to think about for a future update. Add a < and a > to where you click for preset drums to go forwards and backwards for added convenience so you don't have to go back and forth from the mouse and the keyboard if you don't want to and maybe number the presets and create a right click drop down so you can easily and quickly go to the presets that you like without having to click click away until you get there.

There is no pre loaded drum beat when I open DJ Studio
The grid is simply empty is this from the beta just not working right or am I doing something wrong upon opening the app?
Dj-Wild- Child it’s empty you have to tap the presets button above to pick a genre and it will randomize according to the genre you choose

Hey Nicholas. If you're using sounds from our Serato Studio sound packs, yes you can.
this man turned an ugly ass beat into a vibe, probably gonna use this instead of fl studio unless I want it in the future
The biggest issue with serato studio is working with EQ. There is no visual output for EQ anywhere which makes it less than useful.
