    John you ROCK !!! I bought a cheap juicer and was not happy with it 1 month in. I started watching your videos and was sold on the Nama J2 juicer. I purchased it from NamaWell using your discount code and it arrived in no time. I have been using the Nama J2 for about 8 months now and it is absolutely the best juicer. I make about 2 quarts each morning and it is so fast and easy and clean up is just as fast. Thank you John for your hard work producing the videos and showing the benefits of juicing and the different juicers on the market. If anyone is on the fence about buying the Nama J2, buy it and you will be one happy camper and healthy !!!

      @@dorishutchins8818 I'm not the original poster but I too have 2 other juicers. This is the FIRST time that I have juiced consistently. I've been juicing every week with the NAMA for the last year. Previously I had not juiced more than 10 days at a time in over 10 years of owning juicers. I have a horizontal Omega and a Breville high speed. The Nama is sooo much better for me.

    I have the Nama J2 and I noticed that carrots are hard on the Juicer. Twice I've had to replace the juice strainer even after making sure they're cut into small pieces. But aside from that, I still think it's a great product.

    I liked this demonstration with the timer .
    I'd also would have liked to see you put the timer back on and dismantle the juicer and wash the components.

    To eliminate the rest of the pulp, Just buy a fine really fine mesh strainer and dump the juice over once in your glass that what we do with our nama j2. Also your body can only assimilate about 8-14 onces at a time depending on your size, so small juice glass work best with covers. We use 8oz jars. But sometimes I will drink as much as 14 ounces in one serving as it pertains to carrots. Carrots are the main type of juice we drink, a little apple and a little turmeric and a little ginger mixed in.

      @@discountjuicers Hi John, i have a question about cleaning the Nama J2
      As everyone says, the nama J2 juicer is very easy to clean. However, it's almost impossible to clean the lining (bits and pieces of veggie stuck inside) inside the hopper, would there be any chance that I have got a defective one or there is a better way?

    Does anyone else get this strange sticky metallic coating on the auger of their J2 after juicing carrots, beets, turmeric, or other roots? I buy organic, I soak, wash and skin all of my produce. And I've never seen this until using the Nama J2. It doesn't happen on my friends Hurom cold press.

      Uh oh! Gosh hope it’s resolved !

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  Год назад +2

      YES. That is normal. When you juice carrots, carotenoids are released and then stain the auger and make it look like turquoise color. It can be removed by scrubbing with soap and water and a nylon brush right after juicing.
      Turmeric will leave "turmeric wax with curcuminoids " that are somewhat sticky and more difficult to remove from the auger. Once again, it's critical to scrub with soap and water RIGHT after you are done juicing, to wash these plant compounds off the auger.

    I have vertical juicer PTSD from wasting $500 on an Omega vertical that clogged literally every 30 seconds and eventually just could not push greens through the tiny discharge hole altogether within 6 months. The only thing it's good at is nut milks. It's completely useless for all veggies. IMHO vertical single auger juicers are just subpar design with engineering flaws that make them too high maintenance for my needs due to constant clogging. My trusty old Omega 8006 has outperformed any vertical juicer I've tried by leaps and bounds. Clean up and assembly take seconds, zero clogging. Sometimes simple is just better.

    Hey I used one of the vacuum pump you recommend just now. I stored two 32 oz of apple juice. However, one browned and the other one stayed a light green.
    Both were light green when I was done vacuuming.
    Is there any reason for this?
    Is it better to leave more head space before vacuuming than it is to leave a little bit less headspace?
    Thanks

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  Год назад +1

      I recommend juicing in lemon with apple, to help prevent browning. I also recommend pumping extra. When you pump a few pumps it removes the oxygen out of the headspace. When you keep pumping, you will pull up dissolved oxygen out of the juice, this is the oxygen that is most important to remove that should reduce browning. Also ensure the lid doesn't have a leak, and of course, keep it really cold 34-35 degrees.
