Hi John, Can you please encourage Nama to produce a vacuum lid/attachment for the Nama C2? I wrote them on Facebook and although they have responded with interest in the idea of a vacuum attachment, your influence/opinion carries much more weight than my own.
I have already discussed this with the CEO of Nama several times, and can confirm it IS in the works. That being said, I have no idea when it will be ready :)

Generally, sweet limes are found at Latin or Asian markets, they are not a big thing at large chain supermarkets, unfortunately.
I want the Nama j2 with the citrus attachment!
As an avid juicer, the only accessory I'd be interested in is the 3 litre hopper. Large jars and catchers are preferably glass.

While putting some whole fruits may work without issue, in MOST cases, it will work better (faster) if you precut :)
Hey John , thanks for all your videos on the Nama. Last week I finally added the nama to my juicer collection. I do have to give it to you John the juicer lived up to the hype.
It makes juicing so much easier it feels like I have an assistant helping me out.
The only thing I need advice on is.... After using the juicer just 3times some of the screen holes are already blocked. I always spend a long time scrubbing it.
What would you advise John?
Glad to hear you are enjoying the J2. It has helped many people to juice more because it just makes the process easier.
On the J2 screen:
1. clean right after your done. Dont let it sit around, else the pulp dries in the holes and makes it almost impossible to clean
2. use soap and water and scrub from the outside and inside a few times.
3. I then spray with high pressure water to dislodge the pulp left in any holes
for most people this should be sufficient, i guess the key is #2, scrub really well. I have noticed the quality of the included nama cleaning brush use to have stiff bristles that made the screen easier to clean, but they changed to a softer bristle texture, that IMO does not work as well. So I recommend some kind of other brush. I use a 49 cent ikea dish brush myself.
If holes do get clogged, one customer soaked it water and then used an air compressor gun to blast air thru the holes. I will just use the tip of a pin. Of course, if you have more money than time, just buy a new screen and be more vigilant about cleaning after each use.

That is planned, and I hope to make it later this year.

Hello John, I love your passion for juicing. Thanks for the presentation. I wanted to know if you could compare the Nama C2 to Kuvingsus AUTO10. I need a juicer that can make smoothies as well. Which one is better, C2 or AUTO10? Thank you!
I do NOT recommend Juicers to make smoothies, so this would INCLUDE the auto10. The C2 would be a better solution for making smoothies, that being said, for the best smoothies, I only recommend vacuum blending. I really like the citrus juicer. I like that it has the continuous flow spout. You did not need to stop to pour the juice and clean the sieve during the juicing process. I recently purchased the Kuvings Auto 10. I chose Kuvings because Nama did not have a citrus attachment, but Nama's new citrus attachment works much more efficiently than Kuvings'. I hope Kuvings will make a similar citrus juicer. Will the Nama citrus attachment work on the Kuvings Auto 10?
The Nama Citrus attachment will NOT fit the Kuvings Auto10. The Kuvings Auto10 does have an optional citrus attachment that can be purchased, but it collects the juice in a pitcher vs coming out a spout like the J2 citrus attachment. Is the larger hopper attachment just as good as the smaller hopper?. I have the J2 and I love it. It it seems like the larger hopper would make it harder to do vegetables. Could you do a comparison video on the hoppers.

Based on my testing produce like carrots, cut up pieces of fruit, celery all work just about the same as the 2L hopper. That being said, when I juice my weekly green juice, romaine lettuce, cabbage, bok choi, ashitaba, gravity does not seem to work as well as the 2L hopper since it is a tube and the processing blade helps to get things to "drop down" more effectively. So when using the 3L hopper I cant walk away, and need to readjust the mixture in the hopper at times.

I have a question about the Mason jar lids. The kit only comes with 4 lids. Is there anyway or anywhere that you know of where I can purchase a lot more of those lids with the air release tab?

Later this year a company I am working with will have improved lids and sell them separate.

I was waiting for a bigger jar ..like Kurvings Auto10 has it ..
The Auto10 has a 3L hopper and so does the Nama J2 now. The catch cups on the Auto10 are smaller than the Nama J2, in my view, the Nama J2 is a superior machine to the Auto10 at this point due to have a lower cost of entry and slightly better performance
It’d be awesome if Omega would release a 3L Hopper attachment for the VSJ! I know I know wishful thinking 😆 Ended up purchasing the J2 with the 3L attachment because batch juicing for 2 other people in my household now with my VSJ makes for a LONG process
IMO there will be no improvements to the Omega VSJ. If you want a hopper machine, you would need to buy a newer style juicer. I use to use a VSJ843 and now with the Nama J2 and 3L hopper saves me a lot of time!
I bought my Nama last month and I love it but it does not come with reusable bags each section comes with plastic bags. I will be ordering.

Correct, the Original Nama J2 does not yet use the reusable bamboo bags. I hope they will transition to this in the near future. The Nama C2 does come in reusable plastic bags.
I like the idea of the larger hopper but I think the limiting factor might instead be the 30 minutes run time. I take 5 minutes breaks in-between loads and think that's beneficial so it doesn't run so hot. I primarily process carrots and apples so it has on occasion gotten a bit hot and made a smell as it did so. Now I give it small rests. So that's why I'm thinking even with a huge hopper I'll still need to have just as much down time. I really enjoy my J2 but I sure do wish It had been designed for a longer than 30 minutes run time.
While Nama does recommend a 30 minute run time, on a REGULAR basis I use the machine for up to 60 minutes in one sitting without any issue.

Jon I have vacuum sealer can I use my adapter to those special lids?
YES, that will work, but your vacuum sealer may not pull an ideal amount of vacuum. The pump can pull about 25 inches of mercury, a foodsaver I tested years ago only pulled 10 inches. Less vacuum = more oxidation and less storage time.
Hi John, I just came across your channel. Thank you for your informative video. I bought the Kevin's 820 almost two years ago, and two weeks ago, I noticed that the Auger is rusting, so I can no longer use it. Has anyone complained about that? I am very disappointed, and will have to buy a new juicer. I will definitely switch to the Nama.
It has a 2 year warranty on parts and 10 year on the motor. I'd contact the company for a replacement
I have never heard about a slow juicer auger rusting. The auger is mostly made of plastic except for the shaft on the bottom which is stainless steel and should not rust. In the USA the kuvings evo820 has a 10 yr warranty, and to me, the auger shaft rusting should be considered a defect, and they should replace it so you should not have to buy a new juicer.
First, I would attempt to remove the rust, it is likely to be surface rust, with fine, wet sandpaper.

2 things: 1. They do now make Mason jars that have the cupholder design. Saw them at Walmart a bit ago. 2. This is a question: having watched the video about the manual vaccum seal product, when I went to get it and looked at the reviews, there was some reviews that were saying that while the pump was good, the lids were trash. Granted, I know the lids have worked for you as seen in your videos and with that being said, what do you think would cause the lids to not perform as you've shown? Due to those reviews, it made me very leery to buy the kit and elsewhere I had been recommended to pick up the Dicorian Electric seal kit. Would like to hear your thoughts on the lids and the recommended kit. Love your channel and when I'm ready to get the C2, I'm going to use your affiliate link!
I have ordered the specific lids that I recommend in my Amazon Store. I can say they work 95% of the time for me. I think the difference is to ensure you pump enough so it holds a seal. if you pump minimally, it will not suck the lid down as hard and it may not hold vacuum as long. In rare instances one of my lids will lose vacuum and I will wash all gaskets and reseal and it holds. I am happy to say other companies are working on a BETTER designed vacuum lid. Hopefully late this year.

NO. I would not use.buy the citrus attachment for poms. It is likely to make a mess. I would juice POMS in the normal J2 hopper as I show in the video ruclips.net/video/6fVQtQFrQjU/видео.html
Would you say the thickness of the glass jars is the same as the mason jars?
No, its thinner. I prefer the 24 ounce wide mouth mason jar or wide mouth 16 ounce, it has thicker glass than the 32 ounce, which is still thicker than the Nama Jars IMO.
Can you use that citrus attachment. For lemons and limes?
Yes, it will work on lemons and limes, but I recommend putting in lemons and limes whole into the juicer for a more nutritious juice.

NO. No slow juicer can make sugar cane juice. I have tested many to try. I only recommend a DEDICATED sugar cane juicer for juicing sugar cane.
Do you ever use Nama C2 ? I always see you using the Nama J2
I use the C2 at home sometimes when juicing large volumes of juice because I have a 5 Liter Glass catch cup that fits it!

Can vacuum sealed juices last possible up to 4-5 days?

How do i get J2 with the large hopper instead of small one? I certainly don’t need two of them.

Even though I don’t need a big hopper I definitely think they should give a choice which one you want during the ordering step. Otherwise it just generates mess in the kitchen and more landfill.
There is no way to order only the 3L hopper with the J2, it is an optional accessory. If you don't want the 2L hopper, I recommend selling it on ebay so it doesn't go to the landfill, and you can recoup some of the cost. That being said, I will soon have a video showing the benefits of having more than 1 hopper. It will make juicing even easier if doing multiple juices for family members or yourself.
Huh! Not convinced with this. Again its an expensive machine and this flexibility to choose among hopper should be there i my opinion. I mean why not?

I have planning to buy Nama J2 from Canada first there is no Discount code for Canada 🇨🇦 and 2nd what we will do with 2L hopper when we have option of 3L that is completely waste of plastic nama should give us an option to add 2L hopper or 3L hopper to save some money and also plastic waste. So I would say look towards the Kuvings Auto10 that included the 3L hopper from the get-go if that is your MOST important factor influencing your purchase.
I read the reviews on that pump it says it stopped working 2 months use.

why the bottles are not dark, to protect the vitamins?
That would be even better! Mason jars come in a dark amber color, but they are significantly more expensive, and because they are dark, I am unable to see what actual juice is put inside the jar!! That being said, the juices live in my "fridge" under storage and is in the dark anyway.
hey, do you have any updates on the vacuum suction sealer pump? when a better one will come out?
Im using nama j2 to juice some green apples but i put them in the jar with the lid and suck the air out but once i put it in the fridge the juice turns a dark brown. its pretty weird because the last batch all stayed a nice light fresh green even after a week of storing the juices. im not sure if its the apples this time around, although they are all green and firm and no browing on the fruit itself. im wondering if its the pump thats not effective anymore, im not sure.
There are several factors that can cause apple browning.
First, I have noticed some apples brown more than others. This may have to do with the age of the apple, the type of apple, or more importantly if there were any bruises/damage on the apple before you even juiced it.
Next, I would say it is critical to do the things to minimize browing:
1. Juice lemon with skin with your apples, put the lemon in the juice BEFORE you juice apples, so the inside of the juicer is coated with lemon juice as will also be in the catch cup
2. Put a sufficient vacuum on the juice when storing, I recommend 25 inches of mercury. The SOCTKE pumps will pull about this much. Electric pumps will pull maybe 10-15 inches, which is good, but we want to evacuate all the disolved oxygen from the juice, as the disolved oxygen is one of the reasons the juice can turn brow.
That being said, hopefully late this year there will be a SOLID metal manual pump that will work flawlessly to pull 25-26 inches of mercury quickly and easily. I will have a video on it as soon as it is available.

@@DanaWhitee Actually I have several lid variants, some have black o-rings and some have white, I remove the black ones for cleaning using the tip of a pointy knife (non-sharp side). I have not removed the white gaskets.
The bottles are great but white tops will get stained with carrot and beet juice, no???
The ones that are plastic will stain for sure over time, but can be cleaned. I recommend using a standard mason jar lid which wont stain like plastic.

Yes, the 3L hopper lid CAN be removed. I liked they made it more "stiff" than the 2L hopper as I would knock the 2L hopper lid and it would fall off accidently.

@@HB-yk4ut I did recommend to Nama March 2023 to make a 3L hopper, and that is why they made it. That being said, I wish I did play a role in the overall design, because I would have made sure it worked better than it does :)

you need to drink any juice right after you squeeze it. Destruction of vitamins occurs within a few minutes. no storage under any conditions can help to preserve vitamins from destruction
While I do recommend drinking the juice RIGHT after its made for the most nutrition, many elements of juice are quite stable after its made, like the minerals. That being said, if you do need to store juice, I only recommend vacuum storing with DE-AIRATION, as the dissolved oxygen in the juice will cause more rapid degrdation of oxygen-sensitive nutrients.
@@discountjuicers Perhaps minerals stay good but vitamins are destructed by acids. For instance when you squeeze an orange its vitamins mix with its acids. No air stuff is even matter. Before you squish an orange its vitamins stay separated from acids under protecting coverage.

More hopper is not worth the cost, Nama Should introduce a new option so we can buy Machine with 3L hopper in A Same price tell me who will Use 2 hopper at the same time definitely if u have 3L hopper than 2L is completely useless. Why nama is selling 3L hopper with new machine additionally???? That is biggest mistake nama made to force there new customers to buy 2L and 3L hopper with machine, Big NO NO from my side i am not going to buy Nama J2, with adds up 3L hopper machine cost is 910$ canadain which is crazy.

Forget about all the BS other than the three liter hopper instead of the two & press for the vacuum accessory/essential in my estimation.
