I remember hearing this song live in 1993 at my first concert without adult supervision. It was an amazing experience to get within a few feet of an artist who I've listened to since 1986 as an elementary school student
Good choice. Really great album. Saw this tour back in '92 at a small venue my senior year of high school with several friends. Suicidal Tendencies opened for them and both bands killed it and I still have my tour shirt. You should listen to the whole album but I'd also suggest their 1994 album Youthanasia with either Train of Consequences, A Tout le Monde, or Reckoning Day. Really digging you videos. Keep it up.
“Ashes in Your Mouth” reflects a sense of general hopelessness about humanity’s future. The lyrics suggest that since humanity has historically turned to war, we can only expect more conflict in the future. The song contemplates Judgment Day and hopes for divine mercy. Interestingly, both guitarist David Ellefson and frontman Dave Mustaine are committed Christians, but Megadeth isn’t specifically a “Christian band.” They’ve incorporated concepts and scripture into their songs, including the line “Turning plowshares into swords,” which comes from the Old Testament Book of Joel 3:10. This passage reads: "Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears. Let the weakling say, ‘I am strong!’"
Since you brought up metallica the current bass player was originally in one of my favorite bands suicidal tendencies check out trip of the brain ,how will i laught tomorrow, the feelings back or monopoly on sorrow
Saw Suicidal on tour with Metallica and Danzig, either 92 or '94. Send Me Your Money ,, is about like Leper Messiah. Suicidal Tendency were Amazing in the 80's &90's
@timothymatthews1054 it's crazy I've seen over 200 concerts but never had the chance to see suicidal but have loved them since I first heard them in 86 and dig infectious grooves as well that funky alter ego of st
if you want to go down the Megadeath rabbit hole i might suggest Sweating Bullets if you have not done that one yet.......Another great reaction vid man!!!!!!
You need to reaction Megadeth's 'Angry Again'. The song was not released on a studio album but was used on the sound track to the movie, "The Last Action Hero". The movie was okay. The sound track kicked ass. It has a slower tempo with a groovy main riff. Marty's solo is one of his bests. The song kicks major ass, but gets little love as it was not on a major Megadeth release... though is was released on a compilation album later.
Megadeth is an awesome band. Not a fan of Dave Mustain. His voice is hard to tolerate. He can't let the Metallica thing go. But he's a great guitarist probably one of the best in thrash metal.
This is off the Countdown to Extinction album, which you should check out. Not a bad song on the album in my opinion.
🙏🙏
Good song to end this badass album 🤘🏽
Hugely underrated song. Killer track
🙏🔥🔥

Megadeth - Lucretia next! 🎉
BTW: Nick Menza on the drums, the man was a giant of metal. Remember his name.

Like to see you do "44 minutes" by Megadeth . it's base on a robbery that happend on February 28, 1997. Great track
Miilkbone - Mindgamez reaction, he's a rapper from the mid-90s- extremely underrated

It was on Megadeths 'Hidden Treasures' album, a compilation of songs they did for films and the like.
Nice review man...white people be on some business from the 90's man doesn't make us bad just makes us more culturally significant

The next best was hire nick Menza
The best thing! Metallica ever did was fire Dave Mustang
Would not have been my 1st choice but.. if you like this, the rest of the album is a banger
🙏🙏🙏
What are you talking about, it's literally the best song of the album
