Ashes In Your Mouth is by far the best song on Countdown (that's a hell of an album), and Head Crusher is one of the best songs that Megadeth did in the past 15 years. Great choice guys

I personally preferred Psycotron. But the album as a whole is pretty good. Was my second ever Megadeth album, first being Risk. So I obviously had a better introduction to them with this album. \m/
The whole album is great, my 2 favs are psychotron, and this was my life
Ashes In Your Mouth, Captive Honour, This Was My Life... the deep cuts on this album are even better than the featured songs.

EDIT: You are gonna do Five Magics?!?! Hell yeah! Way better than Holy Wars! I wish other channels would do Five Magics. Best song in the album in my opinion. Take No Prisoners kicks ass too!

On Ashes in Your Mouth, Nick Menza on drums (RIP), wasn't he just amazing?? He was all the fan's favorite drummer in Megadeth.

Not all of them. I like Nick but Gar's drumming was more interesting and memorable in my opinion. It was just so unusual at times.
Liked Gar more than Nick, but yea. Nick was amazing, but Gar was on a whole other level.
2009's Endgame along with 2004's The System Has Failed are amongst Thrash Metal's modern classics.
Captive honour and this was my life are the stand out tracks from the album. Rip nick menza. He used to use the drum handles upside down

When I think of the of Countdown to Extinction album I always hear Nick Menzas hi-hat and crash cymbals. Love the sound of them on this album.

Headcrusher is a reference to God's promise to the serpent in Genesis that his head would be crushed.
Now that Bible reference is the shall be bruised, The Mandela Effect. Look it up in the KJV Bible. There are many other verses that has been changed somehow, probably via Quantum Computers.
I remember buying this (countdown to extinction) , the day it was released. It's still my favorite megadeth CD. The newer atuff is my son's megadeth. Lol.

I’m glad to see Headcrusher gettin some love online, but I have to say I hate this music video. The song is literally about a torture device crushing someone’s head in a vice not Ronda Rousey winning a cage match. I understand Megadeth can’t really make a video about the subject matter, but to distract the listener from the gruesome lyrics just kills the shock value altogether. It’s one of their best songs, it is dark and it’s meant to be. I’d recommend audio only for the actual Megadeth experience not the MTV cotton-candy vibes.
