I think we oily/combo ppl should just use a cream or serum that has both sulfur and salicylic acid in it. There’s a lot of those in drugstores, labeled as a “spot treatment” for acne or cystic acne.

I would like to see a video or short where oil cleansing provides instant gratification for sebaceous filament removal b/c it didn't really do anything like that for me🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m no expert but through experiences as an oily gal, only cleansing oil that claims deep pore cleansing and will emulsify with water is what i use like 2-3 times a week for pore and oil clearing. It’s better than drying clay masks for me. I just make sure to soothe my skin with gentle products and ingredients, and moisturize afterwards. Oil production doesn’t seem to ever end because it’s more of an internal problem relative to genetics and diet.

So Sulfur for the those little heads that aren’t blackheads 👍 no wonder it’s taking me YEARS and forevermore to get rid of them. They aren’t blackheads to begin with. Thank you so much Dr Idriss I’m off shopping lol

  • @LuvableAF

Yes yes and you are 40, we know.

Many of you in the comments need to work on your active listening.

What pink eyeshadow do you use? It has me captivated in every video 💜 appreciate the answer if given!

I’ll only do oil cleansers if it’s literally a cleanser that’s been formulated to actually cleanse. An oil can sneeze from across the room and clog my pores ugh

I've been using sulfur for years. It's the one thing that has consistently helped control my adult hormonal acne. I still get my breakouts once a month, but nowhere near as bad as I used to. The downside is that it's extremely drying for my skin, and it smells not great.

  • @theresistance0012

I had acne for years and this is what my dermatologist told me. Now I have a prescribed sulfur face wash I use 2x a day bc my face is very oily. I also use a salicylic acid toner after that and then a vitamin c serum and ofc retin a. I had a ton of scarring from my acne and the SA/vitamin c/retin a made such a difference the scars are so light now you can barely see them. It is so validating when ppl tell me I have nice skin like girl you don't even know how long it took me to get here 😭

I have been using Cerave acne control cleanser and I love it.

How do I know if a cleanser is sulphur based? I looked up the kate Somerville one you reccomended and couldn't see sulphur in the ingredients

  • @fckineh48

I used DHC cleansing oil just to take off makeup. Then i clean with dr Lee's wash.

  • @pinnamichelle

With oil cleansing (the right Japanese oil cleanser that has emulsifiers) you are treating/controlling the issue every day. it's not meant to me a one-time solution but as a continuous rutin. My sebaceous filaments got reduced by 70-80% with daily oil cleansing.

  • @debrandw246

I just started useing a sulphur cleanser due to your advice. Really nice. Thank you.

  • @piki4862

I like a cleansing balm to double cleanse. I have oily skin BUT, I use a gently foaming cleanser in the summer and a cream/foaming type cleanser in the winter. A pure oil to "cleanse" is a no. My skin can't take it

  • @caitroseco6752

I have dry skin and sebaceous filaments 💀 trying to fix it with glycolic acid

  • @lifeofmickie

Can u make a video for combination skin specially focusing on t-zone? I have dry skin with oily t-zone.
