if you take a blood test and it shows you're low on iron, then take a recommended dose of iron by a doctor. Low iron can cause hair thinning/loss. Also hair thinning can be a sign of thyroid issues, so check that with your doctor via blood test. :)))

Besides microneedling he is taking Saw Palmetto powder supplement for the DHA blocking, low carb diet because the high blood insulin can cause hair loss and rosemary essential oil/castor oil, and some plants tincture. I am very oily (very oily skin and scalp) and this helped my dandruff and itchy scalp to go away. Now I have been using 3% salicylic acid shampoo ~1x week in between regular shampooing. I think using these 2 shampoos have helped me enormously for creating a healthier scalp. I am still losing hair but the amount has reduced, i need to go get some blood work done to see what's wrong. In the meantime i am continuing to take costco multivitamins, vit D3, and vit C daily. i try to not brush my hair when its still wet to reduce hair breakage. Within three washes, the hair loss in the shower reduced by 2/3rds! I mean I have thick curly afrolatina hair and the hair balls were huge. Not cute when my hair is so thin it falls flat on the top, and fluffy on the sides! I also added The Ordinary hair serum, which is supposed to be used every night like rogain, but thankfully it doesn't smell. I have only been using for a month, but already the reduction in hair loss is encouraging! I am also supplementing with high dose omega 3's, vitamin D, and protein and creatine for fitness purposes. Cut the dose in half and added copper to balance zinc for collagen, but it’s still working and my baby hairs on my hair line have grown in beautifully, too. Taking with the b vitamin complex they sell as well. So grateful, and cutting the dose really helps with the price point. It really has done wonders.
Edit: proceed with caution in the rest of your diet if you take it. Even in half doses, it’s high in all sorts of vitamins. I had to alternate my doses based on if I had a big salad that day just to make sure I wasn’t way overdoing vitamin A, for example. Everything should be checked with a doctor. Hope this helps.

      I suggest something else...
This is a tricologist product and explanation on what is the problem with women's hair loss.
As explained in the previous text on “why men lose their hair” male pattern baldness is associated with increased activity of 5-alpha reductase which, genetically, leads to higher levels of DHT, but this has been studied mainly, if not exclusively, in males.
If we think that the balding process is caused by androgens, androgenetic alopecia would be present only in areas sensitive to androgens, these receptors have been found only in the frontal areas and in the crown, in fact, in males androgenetic alopecia is present only in these areas.
In women, however, this is not the case:
      1) In women, alopecia usually spreads also to areas not sensitive to androgens and can therefore also involve areas not affected by male pattern baldness, in fact we do not have an evolution with a Norwood-style pattern, but a general thinning.
      2) Follicular miniaturization is different, at least initially, there is no great loss of depth, it is more a question of thickness, the hair shafts become thinner but remain long.
      3) Women practically never go truly bald, it is usually a question of hypotrichia (hypotrichia means hair that thins and becomes sparse).
      4) 5-alpha reductase inhibitors (anti dht) appear to be practically ineffective in women, at best, they have an almost negligible effect.
With this premise, we then explained that hair problems in women (hair that continually falls out, that thins or that thins) are not caused by dht, but by inadequate estrone activity at the follicular level, estrone in fact serves to grow a new healthy anagen (anagen means hair in the growth phase).
It is a very common problem that affects a LARGE PART of women (estimated between 30% and 50%) who, unfortunately, do not even know they suffer from it and always try to cure themselves by using the famous "hair vitamins", which are certainly good, but have no connection with the problem.
This is because unfortunately, despite being the most common problem, it has not been discovered for many years and is still not talked about much. For this reason, we have created the most complete natural products in the world to combat the most common problem in women's hair, estrone deficiency hypotrichia.

      PregnancyHealth & WellnessPregnancy SafetyMedication
Do You Need Folic Acid or Folate? It Depends on Your Genes, Study Says
Your body processes them differently, especially if you have this common gene variation.
You may not know exactly which nutrients are high-priority during pregnancy, but chances are you have heard about folate. This B vitamin prevents neural tube defects-deformities in baby’s brain and spine-and ACOG says you need 600 micrograms of it a day during pregnancy (and 400 micrograms per day before pregnancy). But that’s hard to get from foods alone. Most women need an extra boost in the form of a folic acid supplement-a synthetic form of folate. Newer research, however, says folate and folic acid aren’t quite created equal for every mom-to-be. Depending on your genetics, you may want to stick to folate.
It boils down to a gene called MTHFR, which we each have two copies of. When this gene behaves properly, it is responsible for producing the protein that converts folate into a form our body can actually use, called 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF). That protein, called methylfolate, also regulates metabolism. But about 40 percent of people have a mutation in at least one copy of the MTHFR gene that slows down protein production. Essentially, the body’s ability to convert folic acid into a usable form plummets, so it’s not offering the amount of prenatal protection it could be.

Folate and folic acid are different forms of vitamin B9. While there’s a distinct difference between the two, their names are often used interchangeably.
There’s even a lot of confusion among professionals about folic acid and folate. This article explains the difference between folic acid and folate.
      What is folate?
Folate is the naturally occurring form of vitamin B9.
Its name is derived from the Latin word “folium,” which means leaf. In fact, leafy vegetables are among the best dietary sources of folate.
Folate is a generic name for a group of related compounds with similar nutritional properties.
The active form of vitamin B9 is a type of folate known as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) Before entering your bloodstream, your digestive system converts folate to the biologically active form of vitamin B9 - 5-MTHF (6).
In your digestive system, most dietary folate is converted into 5-MTHF before entering your bloodstream (7Trusted Source).
      What is folic acid?
Folic acid is a synthetic form of vitamin B9 that’s also known as monopteroylglutamic acid or pteroylmonoglutamic acid.
It’s used in supplements and added to processed food products, such as flour and breakfast cereals.
Unlike folate, not all of the folic acid you consume is converted into the active form of vitamin B9 - 5-MTHF - in your digestive system. Instead, some folic acid is converted to 5-MTHF in your liver (8Trusted Source).
Yet, this process is slow and inefficient in some people. After taking a folic acid supplement, it takes time for your body to convert all of it to 5-MTHF (9Trusted Source).
Even a small dose, such as 200 to 400 mcg per day, may not be completely metabolized until the next dose is taken. This problem may become worse when fortified foods are consumed in addition to taking folic acid supplements (10Trusted Source, 11Trusted Source).
As a result, unmetabolized folic acid is commonly detected in people’s bloodstreams (12Trusted Source, 13Trusted Source).
Even a small, daily dose of 400 mcg may cause unmetabolized folic acid to build up in your bloodstream (14Trusted Source).
Although there is evidence that high levels of unmetabolized folic acid may be associated with some health risks, more studies are needed to confirm this (15Trusted Source).
However, one study suggests that taking folic acid along with other B vitamins, particularly vitamin B6, makes the conversion more efficient (12Trusted Source).

Folate supplementation is very important during pregnancy for the prevention of neural tube defects. Folic acid itself is not active, but is the precursor to the active form 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF).
5-MTHF represents approximately 98% of all plasma folate.
Folic acid is a completely oxidized, chemically synthesized molecule that requires subsequent steps of intrahepatic reductase to be transformed into vitamin B9.
Supplementation with 5-MTHF during pregnancy could be advantageous compared to folic acid, because 5-MTHF is immediately active, does not require metabolic activation, is directly bioavailable to the mother and fetus and is not affected by possible mutations of the MTHFR gene .
Furthermore, in pregnant women with hyperhomocysteinemia the unconditional availability of vitamin B9 reduces homocysteine levels that at high concentrations can cause endothelial damage.
