I think it’s so perfect how you mentioned that not disclosing that she was the face of the Laneige blue is deceptive. Even if she did love it before now we question if she is biased. I had this same thought when some OG RUclipsrs were complaining about how audiences wanted affiliate codes disclosed as such. Because I thought it was the same thing. These channels are using these people who are the faces of the campaign should also disclose this information

Most of this thing is an ad. She sprays perfume at the end. And coincidentally it's a newer fragrance from Armani, a brand she also works with.

    • @TryMyMartini

Honestly, she is not someone who had her skin care all figured out apparently, and she probably was introduced to a bunch of their products when she was hired as their model. It's not really all that weird that she would use their products, and they might work well for her. I totally get that she's probably biased, but when you are the face of a brand, they gave you a ton of stuff. She probably wouldn't use those products if she hadn't worked for them, but I bet she just is comfortable with them now.

OMG what you said about hyaluronic acid makes so much sense now. It never really worked for my skin and seemed to either irritate it or dry it out. It’s annoying that it’s in literally everything right now lol. The only product with HA I still use is the vanicream daily lotion at night but only when it’s dead sweaty summer and humid.

It's individual. With the right product and excellent dermatologist guiding you through your HA or any other routine it can be quite hydrating. The right HA combo with other skin care products and regular deep cleanse facials keep and have kept my skin very hydrated and moisturized during harsh cold days + retinol

I think you guys are looking into this a little bit too much. She admitted that she wasn't really sure about skin care before, so when she got hired to model for the brand, she was probably introduced to a bunch of products. If she hadn't been hired by them, she probably wouldn't have found them on her own, but it's completely reasonable that they are what she uses now because that's what she knows.
There are brands of skin care and make up that I only use because I was introduced to them in sample beauty bags like IPSY, and I liked them and kept using them. I'm sure she got a bunch of free skin care from them, and they became part of her routine. I will agree though, she should have mentioned that she was given those products because they hired her as a face.

    - First comes the oil based cleanser on dry skin, remove the make up with gentle massaging and then wash my face
    - Second on wet skin apply the water based cleanser where I do a gentle massage once again so it becomes foamy and then wash my face.

A lot of information online also tend to sell the procedures directly which makes it hard to see the risk of them. Thank you!

hi i dont know if youre still struggling with this but I used to swear off dermatologists when i was younger cause I have done multiple things such as: tazorac, benzoyl peroxide washes, epiduo, laser, etc. and although the laser did help, it didn't get rid of my acne or my VERY DARK scars (it did work a bit, but i also pick whiteheads cause they skeeve me out). I honestly feel like the combo my derm gave me of differin gel (which i purchased on my own and she okayed me using prior to Tretinoin) and winlevi + consistent sunscreen use everyday is preventing breakouts and helping my scars fade faster than anything I have done the past 10 years. I also use the cosrx snail mucin (inflammatory for many but not for me) & rosehip seed oil from the ordinary mixed in with my cetaphil facecream. My cleanser is the cerave hydrating one and I don't really exfoliate extra anymore. And I'm already seeing great results with scarring & texture just after 3 weeks of using....so I really recommend doing your own research and then going to a dermatologist, if you can, with knowledge. Even if you just stay consistent with Differin Gel + sunscreen and simple cleansers/moisturizers, i'm pretty sure you'd get amazing results. Just my 2 cents!!

Finally I kept reading that diaper rash cream helped other people. So I decided to try zinc as a vitamin supplement instead of topically since it's hard to walk around with white stuff on your skin that doesn't absorb. The dermatitis faded after the vitamin built up in my system after a month or two and has not returned. It has been 10 years now and I don't even take zinc regularly anymore. The cleanser I use is designed to put on a dry face. When it’s messaged, it turns to oil and then you add water and it turns milky. I use a cloth to take off my makeup and then I go back in again and just message with my hands on a damp face and then rinse.

The way I wash my face:
    1. Wash my hands
    2. Wash my face with just water several times, especially my eyes (whether it's dry in the morning or has micellar water residue)
    3. Prep the cleanser with my hands till it becomes foamy
    4. Rub it on my face then rinse it.
I thought everyone did it that way and it makes me uncomfortable to see people apply cleanser or soap on dry skin 🙃🙃
20:16 SO TRUE! I remember I had a roommate who would pick at her face every single day. I bought her a small ball with a smiley face to play with so she wouldn't pick at her face anymore...too bad it ended up becoming her cat's toy 🙃😂

Love all your videos! I’m a total skin nerd and I appreciate the science behind your videos :) I was hoping you could do a review of U Beauty products?? Their Super Hydrator seems to have a crazy amount of hyaluronic acid in it ??? And can one product really replace toners, Vit C, AHA’s etc??

Re: picking and my experience in office: I have an esthi license (17.5 years + 9 years study as a layperson), had something going on with my skin, advised I had excellent skincare since age 12, provided dates photos showing how I looked just days prior, and openly advised prior to my appts (multiple) that I had been mislabeled and misdiagnosed a “picker”, and providers were denying me a biopsy and treatment as they believed I caused my own issue. It took an entire year, and getting booted from my longtime clinic for disagreeing with them, to finally find a Derm who would listen. I was lied to, given meds under false pretenses, it was terrible. However, I see others who appear different than I openly admit to picking, and they do not receive the mistreatment I received upon insisting that was not the case, along with my pro license, evidence, etc.
Turned out I have a form of hyperkeratosis on my face, and now C-PTSD to go with it from the experience. My medical records and life have been destroyed, along with my near perfect skin, and love for skincare. It’s been a nightmare. ❤️💛💙

Maybe because Vaseline isn’t really moisturizing, it’s just super occlusive so that no water can escape the skin. Maybe if you moisturized/hydrated the lips super well first, then applied Vaseline it might work better :)

I avoid products with these locking ingredients like vaseline, mineral oil, dimethicone and the like, because they don't work for me in a long run. I prefer natural oils, butters or glycerin, but as mentioned above it's important to hydrate the skin before putting on anything that locks the water inside. My favourite is argan oil because it's very universal, light and helps my scars to fade but of course I don't want to promote it as something that fits everybody, it's best to try it out whether it works for you or not.

What a fun video! I do use the Laneige lip mask, but that’s it. Thank you for the tip on putting the Vitamin C Pique packet contents in water! I tried to suck it out of the packet and my husband was horrified when he saw me because it leaked out the corner of my mouth and it looked like blood was dripping down my face from my mouth! I will try it mixed with water next time. 😊 💦

Heyyyyy, I discovered your channel just two days ago and I have kinda watched almost all your videos already!!! Totally head over heels with the information you provide in the INSURMOUNTABLE skin care industry. Also, I was the happiest to see your HA video because I tried HA but it DID NOT work for me AT ALL. Since then I have been avoiding serums with HAs.
Honestly, I am literally now double checking ingredients on my skin care products (in my over simplistic routine) and also leveling up the game, since I have got a direction and knowledge to understand my skin better!!
I have a request if you could do another video on glycerin? I mean can we apply it directly, buying an OTC bottle instead of any Glycerin based product? But yeah that is a bit tacky. I sometimes mix it with Vit C Serum. Is that okay?
I hope you do respond in your next video!
Thanks a lot for your effort.
    Much love ❤️❤️
    Keep up the great work!

OH MY GOD. My daughter has pretty persistent eczema as well as asthma and allergies. She takes a steroid inhaler and nasal corticosteroids daily as well as topical steroids for the eczema. Over the past six months she’s started to have what I initially thought was an eczema flare around her mouth and nose, and then later realized was more consistent with perioral dermatitis. I scheduled an appt with her PCP, but it just clicked for me that this is most likely related to her inhaler and nasal steroid use (which she both started about six months ago.)

this is the second reaction of yours I've seen where the people pick up the product with the back of theior nail. I've had natural long nails for the last 15+ years and I always use my finger joint to pick up product lol like the length of my finger immediately behind my nail by bending my finger idk if that makes sense. i find it fascinating t see people using their nail itself, ive never gravitated towards it i guess

I either use no water or put a very small amount of water on my face and then I rub the cleanser in, then I splash water on my face and continue cleansing 💁‍♀️ I think the First aid beauty cleanser is the best. You can use it twice as a double cleanse!
I also don’t love when they have people on that are the face of the brand that they keep using. It makes me feel like do they really use that…🤷🏼‍♀️
