    The ram should be apart dont stick it to each other. Please read motherboard manual where to put those sticks in right slots for dual channel

    • @Loudensll
      @Loudensll 4 года назад +1

      also it will save you some headache if you benchtest it before you install your components in the case

    • @jamesbrown59
      @jamesbrown59 4 года назад +2

      In order to be able to use the full power of your RAM you need to be able to have it packed in dual-channel mode. In order to do that you have to put the RAM sticks 1 slot apart. In the case of this motherboard that means putting it in the slot farthest away from the CPU and then play second block down from the CPU. In other words they would be in the 2nd and 4th slots from the CPU. That's a great video and I hope this comment helps a little bit. You did a great job otherwise.

    • @jamesbrown59

      Okay, I see that you did get everything taken care of. It was especially helpful of you to show what you changed at the end. You did just a wonderful job for a first-time Builder. Your cable management looks really great. Congratulations!

    Nice build. Just made my first pc too.
    After I saw you putting on the wrist strap, putting the mobo on the cardboard and handling the processor + cooler, I thought: no way he has no experience. But then came the RAM :D And the missing cables on the GPU were hilarious, never seen what happens without those cables.
    Regarding the RAM: you put it in slots not next to each other because they will then run on different channels (dual channel). In your motherboard installation guide it's marked where to insert the first and second stick. I think you chose the right ones, but the reason for the slots is mainly not the clearance, but the wiring of the board itself.

    • @felixkruip
      @felixkruip  4 года назад +3

      Haha awesome! Yea I did mess up there, but I loved the experience! Fun fact: after I finished the whole build, I read through every manual just to be sure... I indeed noticed that the current slots are recommended by the mobo manual. Thanks for taking the time to comment! Cheers.

    Place Ram 1 on first slot
    Ignore Ram Slot 2
    Place Ram on third slot
    Ignore Ram slot 4.
    Please do that...please for dual channel for the RAMS
    Noice PC build though...its a beast

    Great video, man. It's an amazing rig. I will suggest adding a second NVME drive or SSD so you can speed up your timelines and export. When you are working with one drive Premiere pro is writing and reading on it the same time and not running optimally. Ideally, you need 3 drives (1 for OS and Premiere pro, 1 for cache files and 1 for export) but two is fine if you add very fast NVME, your mobo supports a second M.2 slot.

I took my chances to not put any extra. Until now the CPU temperature isn't going above 75C. However, I might apply some extra in the (near) future..
