- My Mom and Dad are relocating to the same town I live in and are building a new house to better suit their needs. I have been documenting the process and am wondering if my viewers are interested in seeing more about this build. 🤣😂Nope, this is for my parents. My brother keeps saying this is my future home. I prefer a bit more rural if I was going to move from my house. I am excited for my parents though and it'll be nice to have them here in town. I know my Dad will want to come help me more often once they move to town as well. It'll be nice overall.
I like the house. Just too close to the neighbors for my own tastes. But not everyone wants the same things. The garage should be great too. That's something a lot of people fail to realize (my parents) when building a house on a slab, you don't have as much storage. So, by building this house with the large garage, they shouldn't be hurting for storage space. Are the close enough to you that you'll be able to take care of their driveway for them in the Winters, and maybe mow their lawn for them in the Summer, or are they still very able bodied to be able to do that for themselves?
They are just across town (about 3/4 mile from my house and even closer to the wood lot). I do plan to help them out with snow removal. They can still mow as they have a rider, but one day Storm or I may need to cover that as well for them. They have a pole barn building at their current house so they've been used to having some large storage. They are downsizing on many things as well before the move.
