I watched your video on WB canning dry beans and am processing 10 pints as we speak ( my first time for the beans) started canning carrots last year after watching your videos and it was my first ever time canning. The carrots turned out great and then I moved onto green beans and they turned out great too! I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Always wanted to learn and was horrified of pressure canning. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher! Thank you! ☺️
You and Steph are great together , I was taught to water bath by my mom and her mother ..... It's the only thing I know and I am 56 , and still going strong . I recently decided to do ferments😊💜💜💜
Like this so much !!! I learnt English when growing up as I learn how to talk !!! But then at the age I learnt how to speak German French Polish Yiddish !!! I have travelled the world in life !!! So have picked up new languages on the way to where I am at !!! With this being said there are times when typing or speaking I think of words in another country and have to find something to replace it with !!! I don't read languages of other countries but I UNDERSTAND them greatly !!! Like when buying a item for my Son at Christmas time I heard a Young man say something in Jordan speech !!! I lol and then said to him I won't tell your boss what you said !!! He said you understand YES LOL !!!
I’ve been busy the past few days (appointments, grocery shopping, finishing a knitted baby blanket and canning). I enjoyed the video. You would be proud of me, I made orange soda following Melissa Mir. She’s from the Slavic area. I did order pretty bottles. Just made enough for 5 bottles. I did not use the peel because my oranges were not organic. I just couldn’t wait to try it. I did make homemade butter and mozzarella this weekend. I’m having so much fun. I bought sirloin steaks today, it was not planned but will pressure can it tomorrow. Thanks for encouraging me to try. I recently had my squash soup I canned in November, it was so good. Thanks for all you do. Blessings ❤
I went to my doctor last week and asked him what was wrong with me, I get up in the morning and look into the mirror and want to throw up. He said, he didn't know what was wrong with me but, my eyesight was good. 😂
I thought of you! I was watching my fave lady over in Turkey, who uses those canning jars. She had 2 to open? One she opened with that weird opener? The other she screwed the top off! Same patterned flowery lid! I was like, OH!!! A twist off lid!!! ❤

I think that a live would be awesome with both of you! I respect the fear of unsafe canning but I open can acids open canning but I’m afraid of pressure canning on my stove but I have 2 electric pressure canners and I use them all summer and fall long
German is like English here in the states. Patato - Potato Tomato - Tamato Different areas have a different ways to pronounce the same words. Then the way the different languages around the world speak the same sentence is different amazing. Nouns, pronouns, adverbs, verbs, ECT... Then when you translate certain frazes, it is really amazing. Like you said there are times nothing makes sense or it sounds hilarious in a different language.

Laughing hard is different now. 🤣

Gonna re-watch your meat water bath canning video. What a blessing to consider that if we lose power, we can still can meat. I’m open to learning & hearing more on this topic. The last 4 years have taught a lot of us that the 3 letter orgs (FDA etc) are not to be followed blindly as gospel.
Please don't feel insecure about how you speak 😊 I'm far from perfect myself so I relate to it and it makes myself not feel so alone in that and I think God created us all unique in different 😊
I taught English as a second language to immigrants and Stephanie made a good point about you being the first generation English speaker. That does make things difficult for children to learn and understand phrases like "needle in a haystack." I think you are being far too critical of yourself and present yourself beautifully. It is normal and natural to spit out the wrong word or not be able to think of the word you want...another thing to enjoy as you age lol It's going to get worse, so just embrace it and buckle up :) Seriously, Leilani (sp?), you have nothing to feel insecure about. Obviously that feeling is not going to just go away, but you are good enough...and people are going to judge, they are going to be mean, they are going to find something to pick at you (or someone else) about, but that's on them and makes them feel less insecure so you just keep doing and being you. Hugs!

Watched this later, as I am a big fan of your canning videos...and your interactions with your Amish friends. I'm not a big "live" watcher of anybody, simply because most lives are done in the evening, and I tend to leave social media and screens several hours before bedtime and evening routine. Maybe your younger fans enjoy "lives" more, but for me, I tend to have a time during the day when I catch up on RUclips subscriptions as more of a break/reward after chores, etc. Just wanted to give you my feedback.
