This gentleman traded his ‘Starbucks’ Submariner in for that legendary Tudor submariner snowflake? Instant respect, cool points, and many kudos, good sir.
I’m very happy to see Ben in this space. We kind of saw him grow in the watch space for the past couple of years. From “just a kid” trying to learn about watches and trade his way up to a green Submariner and now he is fully appreciating and teaching everybody else about vintage watches and value for money in the industry.

Buy what you like is good advise, unfortunately, what we like is highly subjective and heavily influenced by social media. Great episode with reasonably priced watches.
This is absolutely true. For a new collector your first 100+ wish lists are basically carbon copys of everyone elses current collections or wish lists. Individuality comes with experience.
Simple answer. Stop looking at social media, then you can make your own mind up and to Hell with what others think!
@@JamesAlexander14 That's a tall order in today's world. Also considering that most people get into watches from social media makes it even harder.

No way 1, 2,3 whatever it costs it’s cheap watch specifically that first Tudor that’s the wonder of all why didn’t they spoke more about it historically back ground plus size, movement etc …

Nice to hear positive thoughts about Tudor. I’m a huge fan of many of their pieces and feel there is a strange hatred of the brand by many watch nerds.
Probably the same people that call MGMT, management. Tudor is loved by non watch enthusiasts and has become mainstream as mainstream luxury watch can be. I appreciate Tudor though I don’t have one and I respect what they bring to the table at a price accessible by many

I own two Tudor watches and I love both. Tudor is a great brand I honestly, I don’t care about some people are saying about Tudor. I love Tudor and that’s enough for me.

My first watch over $1k was a Christopher Ward as well, and I still love it.

The best advice I can give to someone when it comes to collecting watches: buy what you like and do not feel the need to always upgrade or spend more and more.
Nice selection but following the current trend and hyped brands. 10:30 CW is not the first brand to release a chiming watch…

Sub 3000 usd a piece collections are my favorites. So many incredible pre owned pieces in that price range

Real watch people go backwards from rolex to tudor when they get fed up with the insufferable attention rolex gets from so many non-watch people lol

I don’t know this guy and he didn’t look knowledgeable, but everything he says resonates.
In the future maybe avoid the word affordable. It shows how out of touch you are with the real world. There are a lot of folks who didnt grow upcin families with money or get paid new york salaries, that collect watches. For some to even buy a 1000 dollar watch is an achievement and a luxury. In other words you look pretty pretentiousness here. Theres nothing wrong with saying great sub 3k watches or something of the like.

Its relative dude. For watch nerds and snobs its affordable bruv😂. For non watch guys everything above 100 is outrages expensive and you be called stupid spending that much

Yeah I think it’s dumb to call anything over 1000 dollars affordable just makes people look out of touch when they mention watches like this as affordable obviously there’s watches that are way more expensive but for most people buying these watches would be a bad financial decision

@@VlNNYD There are LOTS of incredible watches in the $300-1000 realm with history and panache that are not invicta. His Brew and CW are a good start.
