- Well folks YES YES YES I know! There is a segment that lasts about
5 min long were the footage ended up running backwards! Oh my
word how funny! I sound like I'm speaking Swedish! I didn't discover
the debacle until AFTER the video was up and running. Oh well just
fast forward a little bit or watch it and laugh like I did!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
My interest is buying and selling antiques and vintage items mostly
from the 1920's into the mid 1960's. Thank you for watching.

I was so confused till i figured out what was going on!!
I was slightly freaked out 😳
It’s fine. God’s blessings ❤
Oh my I understood every word 😏 should I be worried 😆
I thought I was having a stroke, thank goodness my husband heard it too
I thought I pushed some unknown “translate” button !! Too funny
😂😂😂You're quite fluent in backward speak. ❤
Haha! I thought there was something wrong with my hearing! Then I thought somehow I’d changed the language. 🤪🤪Once again a great video.
Sorry!
@@oldcuriosityshop265 don’t be sorry! It was funny!
Oh my, that’s what English sounds like backwards? How funny...you can sure here the Norse and German roots! 🤣
Hi Scott love the thrifting videos loved looking at the old furniture so beautiful love the pink depression candy dish and the Cambridge piece absolutely beautiful always injoy watching take care
Thank you for sharing. What great finds. So enjoy shopping with you. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Thank you for showing the absolutely beautiful furniture!
Thanks for the explanation of the audio glitch at 19:00. For a minute there, I thought we were going to need to perform an exorcism on you! LOL!
You are right! It’s Swedish pig Latin! HaHaHa!! 😅.
But really, I have to admit…I think I’m the only
one who doesn’t mind looking at (and buying) unique clear glass. What I really love is beautiful clear cut Art Deco crystal…loved all that furniture too! Especially that mahogany dresser, it was beautiful…thanks for taking us along! 😀😅
I really like the pink hummingbird vase also!
I thought for a minute something had happened to my hearing, how funny!!!!
😂😂😂😂😂the end part of the voice over..you are right it sounds like Swedish
I have say I thought I was losing my mind it wouldn't take much to put me over e
the edge
I love when you show the furniture and speak Czechoslovakian to me 🙌🏻😘
Lol!!!
Sweet haul, Scott! Thanks for taking us along. 🥰
Loved the part when you started speaking in tongues! 🤣
Ha ha ha I love it!
Had to replay - thought I’d actually gone crazy! What the heck!! 😂
Thank you so much
Haha, you sound like someone who gives a breathless commentary in Swedish! 🤣
My favorite was the pink depression glass compote.
The run away bride salt shaker!😂
I enjoy your videos so much, Scott! I love how you are able to leave things behind. You're a smart shopper, and it's so much fun to watch. You're intro music is so relaxing...everything about your channel is good. A favorite for sure!!
Thanks so much!
Loved all the pink depression glass!💕 I thought the backward speaking part was on purpose, just to add a little humor for the day!😂
Complete accident and I was horrified! The vid was already produced, uploaded and open to the public. Oh well.....just one of those days.
Potato chips and chocolate chip cookies were accidents too, and they turned out good!
I like the you said, "I'm satisfied.."
Thank you for the Pyrex lesson.
Wow, you have wonderful thrift shops. Nice vintage things. I have just moved to a new area and I am hoping my thrifts are better than the last place I lived. Meanwhile, I will live vicariously through you. 😊
That buffet is amazing.
New language. Lol
Love those glass shades! Great video Scotty! Thanks for sharing!
Love the Pink Cookie Jar nice and the yellow Pitcher! 💛
He Will wait until you see that I have the matching yellow tumblers to go with that pitcher!
Enjoyed the thrifting and the special appearance of Binx's twin!
Runaway Bride. That's a movie I think. Lol
Yesterday I took my little uranium glass slipper & black light to a friends’ get together. They were very awed & impressed! Thanks for teaching me about uranium glass
I feel like I am in the Amish Country and a bunch of old men are speaking Pennsylvania Dutch at the next table!😉
YES.....ha ha ha......I did sound a bit on the Amish side!
I think the translation was”I must bring the cows in before the storm” And something about the upcoming barn raising.
@@elderlypoodle9181 Hahaha!
Dude! So talented.🤪
Loved the pink depression compote. Also you tesch us so much good info about furniture today; much appreciated.
I thought my internet was glitching. 😂 Great video love the furniture!
Thanks for taking us along!! Enjoyed!! Blessings to you!!😊
I thought I was watching Twin Peaks when you started speaking backwards lol
ha ha ha.........I love it!
Well, that audio was creepy. Pink cookie jar is cute.
Scott, always a pleasure to shop with you!❤😊
Sounds German to me 😂😂 love when you take us along when you thrift. You’re very good at it ❤️
😮 I wondered for a moment if you were having a stroke. Then I wondered if I was having a stroke. Then I determined a german leprechaun must have sprung out of that little rocking chair and possessed you 🤣🤣🤣
Love the pink compote, the pink cookie jar and the yellow pitcher! 😬
Hi Scott! Love your funny commentary! Take care! 😊
Love the dresser with the beautiful hardware pulls! So elegant.
Love the voice over voice.
I'm hoping to keep learning about glassware during your outings. Thank you for sharing.
Thank-you for posting this early.Really enjoyed it.🤗🤗
Glad you enjoyed it!
That yellow pitcher! And the Milk glass lamps! 😍Very nice!
Awesome video(as always!)
Even your "mistake" was awesome.
I LOVE Twin Peaks!!!🌲🌲
Always fun to watch, Hey Scott
Hey Will. As a creator.....you understand the feeling when you spend hours filming, editing and posting a video just to find out 5 min were shot backwards! Ugh.....it happens!
I was just about to comment about the backward audio lol 😆 nevermind!!
Ohhh I know we don't mind!!
I loved the pair of milk glass lamps!
Lord, that was funny! 😂
I read the other day that pink will be the color for 2023, every home will have something pink in it, so load up on the Depression glass but what I really liked was that black glass piece you passed on in the second store.
Awwww you went schlepping without me
Beautiful furnitures
I kept thinking, and I can't understand anything he's saying.😂
Wow! Was thinking how smart you are speaking Swedish in addition to all your other talents! Still think you’re tops though 🤗.
I think there was a little German in there 🤣🤣- LOVED that $80 mahogany dresser with the mirror 😍😍. The $85 dollar one was great too. No one wants the good stuff, they rather particle board furniture like IKEA.
Loved all those Depression glass pieces! And the furniture was priced well too!
Love the pink depression glass piece you found. They are so beautiful! 😍💖. Also, I have never seen a older piece of clear Pyrex like those before. That’s very good information to know about the yellow tint along the edge. Thank you for sharing. 😊
I'm gonna be singing "Let's Thrift Again", from now on. It's my new theme song.
I have that small 'pie plate' from my Maternal Grandmother's kitchen, but never knew it was a lid! I use it to catch drippings when I 'brown' hamburger in the microwave in my Tupperware colander!---That backward blunder was a hoot! Makes me wonder what I missed!
I had to look to see if the devil took over my tablet.
I have that old Pyrex casserole in it's holder. I think the blue glasses might have been Hazel Atlas Helenic.
You covered a lot of territory in this post. On the pair of deco lamps, I call the curved parts fern fronds or cascading water fountains.
Was that a Klingon language?😂😂😂😂😍
Oh my. How does that even happen? I don't know but I laughed til my side hurt then started laughing again. Best laugh I've had in weeks. You did find some very nice pieces while shopping Scott.
milk glass lamps!!!!!😍😍
Lol. Video partly backward!! So funny! Only you could do this!
Complete accident!
@@oldcuriosityshop265 Funny thing was I think I understood what you were saying LOL🤣🤣😳
I thought your channel had been hijacked by some kind of troll! Parts of it sound german, and swedish combined. Too funny!
I have several prices of the Duncan Miller Tear Drop pattern. I think it looks elegant.
I love teardrop by Duncan and Miller.
Geez, Scott I thought I was having a stroke.😂
You have came a long way on your video. Haven't watched you about a year. Seen your sale at was also awesome.
Hi Scott, I am new to your channel. 😊 I came across your channel by looking for vintage dollhouse renovation. I love all things vintage. ♥️ I thought you could use the “groom” in your 1920’s dollhouse. It is hard to find vintage “male” dolls. I am enjoying your videos. I love the bookends!
I've been watching Sergei on Vasya in the Hay, so I thought you were just gabbing away in Russian! I actually thought you did that on purpose, it was funny 😁. Always enjoy your videos!
Hi there! I don't know how that I missed this video. I need to go back and check all of yours. These days, you get about a 1000 points for knowing about a minuet. I would be surprised if anyone under 50 has historical knowledge of that degree.....unless they are a Regency romance novel aficionado. Ha!
Well the "Twist" is multi directional lol
I would love to find a lazy Susan at my thrift store I seen two of them while you was filming this thrift video.I look all last summer for some good porch furniture with no results 😢.
Aloha 🌺🥰
I would have left that green thing in the store too.😊
I just found your channel today. I hope someone has already made a runaway bride comment here. 😃
Oh my God I was watching your video and suddenly the language change I thought I was going cuckoo I was like checking my phone for translation I'm like what happened 😂🤣
Ha ha ha......I'm sorry!!!!!
@@oldcuriosityshop265 😂❤️ I still finished watching the video I do like those milk glass lamps I saw them on one of your sales and I think those are nice glass lamps shades 😁
Does that ottoman have horse hair filling 🤔?
It matches my chair in my dining room. I got it at the thrift store for $7. It is the most comfortable place to relax.
Most 1930's furniture is stuffed with cotton and excelsior.
@@oldcuriosityshop265 o good to know. Mine says on the label horse hair. 😊
What happened Scott? You just have to show off speaking backwards! 🤣🤣 that 30s Spanish bookend set was really cool! That stuff is out here in California by truck loads but, everyone wants premium prices for it.
Hate to correct you my friend, but the Hamilton Beach mixers, Model B-D had yellow custard colored bowls. We have a model D that we use all the time, came with it’s two bows, small batter bowl and juice reamer! The mixers that came with jade green bowls were the Sunbeam Mixmaster. 🙏
That Model D was in better shape than ours! I’d be hard pressed to say you’d find a better one.
Thanks again for the fun shopping trip! Even if part of it was backwards 🤣
Ok, you’re forgiven, haha I understand the whys as a reseller and former store owner myself, but I NEVER find pieces like that. Gorgeous. The furnishings you find are amazing. It just baffles me how much is donated. I think I need to do a thrift junket on your sides of the states. Always fun and informative tagging along with you.
I like to discover what thrifters are into...
I did wonder why you were describing those crafty Mexican bookends in Dutch...
Finally someone speaks my language 😂
Have chuby autographs. The twister
Love it sounded like your speaking Pennsylvania Dutch lol I thought I've been around the amish way to long today scored on a pyrex percolator 30
Scott, the Pyrex Clear Glassware of that Period are so stylish. I have got a few nice bits in my Kitchen, Uranium Glass, but just for decor. That was a great Thrift. Real quality items, and on offer. Absolute Steals and fair dues to you. Great video as always. Thank you 👏👍😉
The Myerling..like Susie Cooper
Love that ottoman.
I thought I was going crazy when it started playing the voiceover backwards. I'm like "Why is this guy speaking in tongues".
It’s was kinda creepy! Lol.
First time watching your channel and have subscribed. I enjoyed watching you shop and what really sold me on your channerl was the part that was in reverse. ☕🤣
Awesome! Thank you, Randy! Count on me to make a mistake like that!
@@oldcuriosityshop265 reminded me of that I Love Lucy episode about Home Movies. 😂
That clear glass Fostoria single candlestick was exquisite. I would buy it if I knew where it might be; you never said the price.
No I don't always quote prices. I think I was down in Woodbury when I saw that.
Hi Scott! What nice finds! How many thrift stores did you visit for this video?
Oh I think I was in over 5!
We’re you possessed for a minute there?
I thought I was hearing voices...lol
