Hi Scott, This town looks like the small town where I grew up,in N.J. many years ago. I love that the original houses weren't torn down for high rise apartments,as was done to my old home town. Thank you for taking us with you and your family. P.S. I bet during the "Cottage Tour", it was agonizing for you not to be able to pick up the glass objects and turn them over for identification marks !
When you called the Robot GPS lady sweetie she blushed. The homes are so good! I was once lectured by a Docent at a home I decorated!😁 I apologized for touching the floral arrangements I made!!your Mother and Stepfather sure have a welcoming pleasant presence. Such a wonderful video. ❤️🐩
Seeing this has underlined how much you have taught us about the American way of life by the items made there.Wonderful.For example I knew Stanley tools were quality(my Father had a plane and treasured it) and I recently bought a Black and Decker lawn mower. Its fabulous.Didn't know they were American.(To my shame)Thank-you Scott for all the time and effort you put in to your vlogs. They aren't boastful or showy..factual with interesting content.
The furniture has so much more charm and beauty than anything you'll find at IKEA or Wayfare..... And some of us still use doilies and crochet tablecloths. 😊 I could spend all day in that cottage. Thanx for the tour. My grgr grandfather was born in Woodstock New Jersey but moved to the Midwest around 1840/50. So I have "roots" in NJ. lol. It was Popeye's friend J. Wellington Wimpy that said " "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today". The phrase was also slightly altered in the 1957 animated short "Spree Lunch" to "I'll have a hamburger, for which I will gladly pay you Tuesday."
The house tour was fascinating. The coordinated stencils on the walls and floor were great. I designed and applied a stenciled design around the top of my LR walls. ❤ embellishments.
That cottage!!! I was gasping and squawking the whole time!! And I had to laugh when the tour guide asked the kids who does the laundry at their house and Scott answered!😂😂😂
I am so glad I didn't assume this was going to be duplicate views from last year 😊 thanks for taking time recording the Victorian house Scott you know I was clutching my pearls 😀 did you see the hair mourning hair wreath art to the left in the parlor wow! I prize the one I own. Thanks again Scott 😊
Wow Scott really enjoyed the whole video, the Victorian house was outstanding. Really? Like the east lake Items thanks for sharing enjoyed it Last year when you were there, too and thanks again. Great to see you and your mom And stepfather.
That’s funny! I was thinking “Lizzie Borden house” when you were outside. It’s her drab green. The painted floors are wonderful! I love painted and stenciled floors. I’m touring two Federal era houses soon.
This is one of my all time favorite videos. To see the furniture and furnishings that I so love in their original setting was spectacular. Thanks so much, Scott! ❤
I was just at Asbury Park 2 weeks ago for a day trip. I live in upper Delaware, so next time I'm up that way, I will have to visit Ocean Grove . It looks beautiful. I like the fact that there are no mosquitoes there . I may have to move there.😆 Lol
I was mistaken - I thought this was Scott's thrift haul instead of a tour of the cottage LOL. There were so many items that you have acquired and taught us about. My fave room was the sewing room - the thread caddy on the wall - I want, I want. I watched the live rehearsal last night and saw your mother so clearly in the seats. I loved all the conductors but I really enjoyed Dr. Mark Boyles (?) with his lively style. Your step-father reminds me of you - mischievous. This is one of my fave videos, thank you. ❤
I love that cottage and everything in it! Love the painted floors and wallpaper and no window screens. But I would think birds would get in the house. Thanks for the tour!
What fun! Thanks for taking us on your summer outing , Scott. Your Mom and stepdad look like their fun to be with. Did anyone here tell you yet that Wimpy i.s the chubby character with empty pockets who was always trying to mooch a hamburger in the Popeye cartoons? Gosh, I haven't thought of that in years! Haha
Thank you so much for filming and sharing this with us! The historic house tour was awesome, I loved everything in that home! Your parents are delightful as always! 😍
Thank you for this wonderful tour. I love old creeky wood floors. I want a sleeping porch with no summer bugs. There must be a lot of dragon flies if theirs no mosquitos.
Fun go a long with you to Ocean City. I’ve never been there but have visited relatives in Red Bank, NJ. But I guess that’s considered North Jersey. Enjoyed the tours and learning new things. TY
Thanks for taking us along on the tour Scott! Beautiful and charming. We know you will enjoy singing in the concert tonight. We’ll be praying for y’all! 🥰✝️🙏🎶
Oh Scott, that house tour was lovely! The glimpse of lace curtains billowing in the breeze brought back many fond memories! What joy to be able to share this with your mom and step father. You all in the restaurant was precious! 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
I’ll put Ocean Grove on my places to visit. But I really came to see if anyone mentioned the “orbs” floating around in the parlor and in another room. Lol
Not sure if true but in according to the tour host in Williamsburg VA there are very few closets as they were considered a room and taxes where based on number of rooms & that included closets!
My high school graduation was held at the auditorium. We were the bicentennial class in 1976! I grew up in Neptune and I love Ocean Grove!
Thank you again for taking us along.😊The town of ocean grove is lovely.💜praying your concert goes smoothly.🎶

Wimpy and the hamburger! “ I will gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today”
Thanks for showing the lovely cottages. The character who was popeyes friend I think is Wimpy.
J. Wellington Wimpy to be exact.
Wimpy!! J. Wellington Wimpy, to be exact! He loved his hamburgers. Thanks for the tour!
Is the character Whimpey from Popeye cartoons who begs for money to buy a hamberger?

We visited NY finger lakes where the sufferagette movement started. They erected a memorial. The towns were so quaint!
Fantastic! Elizabeth Cady Stanton is my cousin!
That was great!
Cape Cod bucket hat...❤
Nice tour of the house. I feel you could do a better job giving the tour. You would point out many of the items and given a history of them.
I’ll put Ocean Grove on my places to visit.
But I really came to see if anyone mentioned the “orbs” floating around in the parlor and in another room. Lol
Your mom is beautiful, Scott.

"I'll gladly pay you Tuesday, for a Hamburger Today"... "Wimpy".. Popeye's friend....circa 1935... (Courtesy of SEGAR) and the Flesicher Brothers...
I would gladly pay you tomorrow for a hamburger today!
I had to look it up. A "dosen" is a professor or university teacher.
