We could only hope someone like you would be so in tune with our possessions after we are gone. That’s all I could want. With deep respect, Poodle ❤️🐩
Agree poodle 1000% he touches everything so reverently
I agree Poodle. Having the respect and consideration Scott has for the past and the people from our past is what makes me so fond of him. I wish there were more like him. The world would be a lot nicer😊
@@gailsprangers9388 That was beautifully said Gail. Love to you today 😘
Oh Poodle, I totally agree! I went to an estate sale only once in my life, and I felt horrible while in the home of the sale. All I could feel was the emotion of why are you here? ,and why are you taking my things?, But if a person like Scott , who has total respect towards those who owned the items, and who's memories, and lives were permeated in those items, were to enter my home he would not feel those emotions, for I would be totally at peace Knowing my memories and possesions would be well respected.❤
@@robinboyd9391 YES Robin!! And we would do the same 👍✨
This one hit me right in the feels with the music and typewriter clacking. It looked like a life well lived.
Love the wave in the photo glass reflection.
Estate sales are a little sad. It shows that we are just caretakers of things for a while. Love the music to go along with the tour Scott.
Scott you have such a knack for making wonderful videos. The music and the correlation with items you show go together so well...especially the typewriter with the typing...brought me right into being in the room with you...thanks so much...
I love seeing estate sales. This has me in the feels, imagining life in that house back in the day. When I saw the old phots, including Wedding photos, I was sad. I mean why would anyone sell them! Thanks for sharing and I hope to see more!
Estate sales are getting more and more pricey as are the Goodwill. Some appreciative that you make time to film so we can come along. Thank you.
Excellent job on panning the estate sale with fun sound effects. No sea sickness here!
I wish jelly and peanut butter, etc. still came in pretty collectible glass. That’s how we got most of our drink glasses when I was a kid LOL 😆
Fascinating video, Scott. So much to see and try to spot. Such interesting items. I actually liked that boxed Multi Coloured Knife set, although there was one missing. Great commentary from you as well. As always, thank you, Sir ! 👏👍😉
Good job! This was wonderful, loved the music and camera work. The house is so interesting to me, can't be many houses left full of original 1920-30's furniture. Thank you for taking us along.
A friend of my parents had a mother that passed away and so was clearing out her house. She invited my family to take anything we wanted in the old house for free. I was able to pick up a mirrored tray that looks exactly the same as the one you show in @2:04 !
I found this video to be absolutely captivating! I was so drawn in... it felt like going under a magic spell into the past. Lol! Yes, more estate sales, please! Loving everything you do on your wonderful channel, Scott.
It was sad to see all those family pictures for sale. Just makes me wonder. I really liked the percolator and creamer and sugar. Original cord! Have a wonderful weekend, Scott!
Beautiful furniture.
Man! The picture dated 1927, everyone was very dressed up, school pictures of my ancestors at that time would have been barefoot, wearing homemade clothes handed down three times.
But who was the "colored boy"? He was not dressed up...what would have probably been his duties
I do so enjoy your thrifting videos 😊 the hauls are great too! In the beginning of the estate sale I just loved the two perfume bottles❤ love the percolater❤❤❤❤ thanks for sharing 😊
I am usually excited about estate sales. Your production of this one was heart wrenching; a good reminder. What wonderful gatherings of family and friends did even the flatware bear witness? You're correct in that you don't see a U-Haul behind a hearse, but wow. Good luck on the work benches and shelves. The Millwork catalog is wonderful, what a keeper. The percolator is my favorite item in the video.
I’ve always wished for my kitchen to have wood on ceiling and walls. Like a ships galley.
The little city I live in has good estate sales. Lots of seniors here. Found some great things this morning. One sale had a similar brush, comb, mirror and came with the mirrored tray like the one you saw but the price was only $10 for all 4 pieces. I truly enjoy all you videos, Scott. Thanks for the work you put into them. I’ve learned a lot from you.
THE MUSIC WHEN YOU WERE LOOKING AT THE SPOONS WAS PERFECT.
I think my favorite thing at the estate sale, was the sign that said "make a peil". I had to look that up. Thank You for checking out that pretty flatware. I don't know if any was sterling or not, but it sure was pretty.
The dresser items are so pretty! Mirror tray...hand mirrors...etc. 😊
I really enjoyed seeing the actual house. It looked as if the folks who set up the sale were very respectful of the items.
Everything so well cared for. Prices seem high however I loved that kitchen table
Oh my gosh! Between the sad music and the sad house full of memories, I think I'm gonna cry! The walls in the garage were strange and amazing. I've been to the Lizzie Borden house, but this one is scarier.
I like the old house and the railing. The furniture is in good shape.
YES, I would love more estate sale, flea market shopping. Playing music is fine. Miss your videos like they used to be! Thanks🩷💕
A real mix of items.I enjoyed this quiet get together.
Thank you Scott for taking us along to the estate sale. The items seemed nicely arranged. Yes, more of these sales if you are able to film them.
A real trip down memory lane. So organized and clean. Thanks.
That house was so charming. Thank you for taking us along. The furniture was incredible and I have never seen a black and white table like that - fabulous.
I am fascinated by that upstairs room with the wood covered walls and ceiling. My third floor is shaped like that but covered with horse hair plaster. I never saw wood used.
There was so much to like..😊
Thanks for taking us to this house…radar range and all. The whole thing made sad in a good way.
Love the beds dresser dresser mirrors and my fav the picture of the lady on the wall
I really enjoyed this video of the estate sale. Very interesting. The pine room was my favorite. The one bedroom was so tastefully elegant. So nice. Oh, the picture of the young lady was my very nice. And the kitchen table. Scott, you did a very nice job of filming.
I liked the vintage Christmas ornaments!
Love estate sales, film when you can. Enjoy them a lot.
I really enjoy your sound effects. They are always fun and put you back in the moment. 😊
My Scandinavian hair could never curl like those gorgeous haired gals.
The Amana Radarange has some real value. Heavy and hard to ship.
Fun to travel with you to that estate sale. … UNTIL you started talking about Lizzy Borden 😮 I watched it before 🛌 now I’m a little 😳 spooked. I 💗how you treat these old possessions so lovingly
Old song is perfect for this!
I would love to come across that mother load of old photographs ! 😊
In the 30s & 40s brides started housekeeping with silver plate because the popularity of stainless steel was not avaliable yet ❤
I spotted something!! I had forgotten about Sucrets. I guess they were just throat lozenges. I love their green color and a unique taste. Do you remember them Scott. I love the coffee set. I have one with no legs and the handles are red and black. No cream and sugar and no cord. It is just pretty in my little kitchen of the 1936 shotgun house.😊
C’était parfait. Assez lent pour qu’on voit bien et que dire de votre musique d’ambiance… live it.
I just love what Elderly Poodle said....there is an ache in my throat watching here a happy caring end of a couple and their relatives/friends and likes of past ache understanding empathically endings.. Similar but different subject.... some the looking and wanting,,I say much of it is NOT GREED when one family member or seller even is only one who gets a thing in their heart and lusting a bit.... but that is a forget about it...let go and let what come comes in order of your hunt and find to you in kind and good ways...and especially, especially with related dysfunctional people, let go....these folks were never fair...... What I am learning that brings me such joy is many many deeply care and a home gets honored more how it was during something like this...and the vibes of the seller and original owner can bring back the better vibe or heart of any thing..exact or similar. And about Jewelry...I truly beleive some rocks or designs are not for all...some are for some and some need to be buried and cleansed a few generation or not come back...some things absorb too much dark or sad IMHO opinion...thanks...this was wonderful. I also beleive in God and heave and Jesus and think..any mothers ring you can have there in duplicate and enjoy it together with her...Much Love Scott. This was soo wonderful..loved many items and felt both sets of grandparents...and current friends who enjoy using and refinishing older furniture.....S. Ps..Yes love his kind of filming even with ache feeling...loved the furniture, just loved that twin set.
I loved the percolator and sugar and cream. I also appreciate you explaining things. I like the history of items you find. thanks!
I loved this so much. It reminds me of my Mother and Aunt's house. They passed away. The song playing was so sad. People passing away and leaving their life belongings is very sad, It will happen to all of us.
Love the video… I enjoyed the live part of the estate sale and walking around with you…😊 I love the old percolator… really cool. You never see them with their original chords. I loved the old picture in the wall of the beautiful woman in the frame that was not for sale…..😊
I really liked the respect you had for the posessions in the house. Sad but beautiful . Lovely video Scottx
That typewriter is everything and a bag of chips. I have a 1940s typewriter and an IBM selectric…my fave.
Those Hazel Atlas glasses held sour cream. Love the spittoon for flowers. Thanks for the tour of the estate sale.
Scott, I loved how you presented that estate sale with the soynd effects of typing and the song that went so well with the old photographs. You put a lot of thought into your videos and it really shows. Thank you!
Loved going to an Estate Sale, so many good things
Your estate sales are incredible! I wish I could own everything (the bedroom set is so delightful), including the house! It does sadden me to see people selling their family photos. Their family will lose their memories, who looks like who, and stories of who they are. Then family amnesia sets in. Thank you for sharing, but your estate sales do make me jealous! Wish I was there!😊
love the footage in the estate sale, also the music you added was perfect!! I want to have my bedroom about the garage with all that wood on the walls. Awesome!!!!
There was an old stuffed bear in one of the bedrooms that caught my eye. I have a bunny in that same style that was probably my Dads and I wondered how old it was.
I would love to have the mid century ceiling light in the 2nd floor of the garage! ❤
I loved seeing the estate sale and your choice of music to accompany it. Very nostalgic looking at everything. The old house was so interesting! Best wishes from over the pond. 🇬🇧
Geez I was feeling a little melancholy after the opening tune but thanks for livening things up w/ Lizzy Borden & another melancholy tune (sarcasm) I always enjoy your outings Scott 👍🏻
Lovely
Love the Art Deco bedroom furniture.
I love the house! It’s amazing what you can find in old houses, the stories they could tell! I love your finds! The fan you have behind you, which my parents had, I can remember them using when I was a little girl, and it was old then!
I recently returned from Arizona, attending my Sister's birthday, and hoping to find a glass measuring cup during my thrift hunts to/from my home. Found one, surprised to see it was an anchor hocking piece, so paid the high sum of $3, since I was expecting to find the typical Pyrex model (was surprised to actually find one at all)! $3 doesn't seem like much of a bargain when I went pricing it, but I'm pleased to have found the one thing I was hoping to find on this trip, so am not really disappointed in the price.---That second piece of music you played during the estate sale tour, was so poignant it almost had me in tears.
Love the percolator and collect them! Would like to see more estate sale filming.
Loving these estate sale videos! I really enjoy your style of presentation in them, as well as the music and ambiant sounds you add in. It was wonderful timing that the last words of the song, "...a cottage for sale" were playing just as you were filming the dollhouse with "Not for Sale" posted on it. Please do more of these!
Loved seeing the estate sale the house was really nice the wood upstairs was wonderful. The coffee pot with cream and sugar was my favourite thing.😀👍
Your excursions are always so interesting! I'd love to see more of the estate sales in those older homes. I live in one of the oldest neighborhoods here in Tempe AZ; most of the homes were built in the 1930's and '40's. My home was built in 1938, and the interior doors are the same as the ones you were showing in that fascinating mill work book! Thanks so much for sharing!
Total fan of the coffee percolator with matching creamer and sugar receptacle.
Great video.. I enjoyed it 🤓
Hello Scott. Once in a while I really enjoy a Diet Coke from McDonalds-someone told me they have a special syrup from Coke to keep the taste as the ice melts. I really enjoyed seeing the old photos at the estate sale, and the percolator set is my favorite. Can't wait to see it working and how many cups it holds. 😊
Yep I like your style!
So many nice things in this house, but also some nice prices. Scott wasn't that a nice house were the sale took place? ❤❤❤😊❤❤❤ Love your green hoodie.❤❤❤❤😊❤❤❤❤
Green looks good in you Scott. Loved everything as always and I really liked the rug even though blue isn't a colour I'm drawn to. That old home is beautiful 😍 How much would something like that go for over there? Thank you again for a wonderful episode 😊 xx
Very interesting treasure you came home with. Love all the information that you share. Thank you so much, Love the tea. the creamer/ Sugar is a awesome addition. Thank You.
❤
Great estate sale video Scotty! Yes please, more of this content! Thanks for sharing!
Love the coffee set. I collect coffee pots and used to have them on the top of my cabinets on a shelf in my old house and trade them in and out of use. I need to get some shelves built in our new house for them
Thanks Scott for your video it was a joy to see the furniture and that old silver ware . Did the one spoon have a face of Roosevelt on it ? The Amman radar oven was the one my grandmother had it was before they called them microwaves. She kept it in the basement because it was to big for her kitchen 😉.
I love that ceiling light with the beautiful luster ware shade wish I had a place for it. We can rely on you to find some great things.
That was fun! The house was lovely and appeared to be well taken care!
That pine is beautiful in the attic.
I would enjoy more estate sales. Very enjoyable!
The estate sale, 2 months ago, when u were in the garage, on second floor, did u notice the ceiling retractable light fixture, early 1960's, not your date interest, but they can bring some decent money, I believe. 💞💞🙃💞💞
Yes! If you have a spitton you need a ceramic one.. easier to clean and more feminine/classy for LR 😊 Yes g.mother & older m. in law did dip and spit descreetly...i am 75 😂
You are a real historian...
Great video 🐈⬛❤️
Hi Scott estate sales always get me a little sad I mean it use to be someone homes know people are there going to through there home buying there things just a little emotional for me I like the percolator you picked up with the sugar and creamer that was beautiful always injoy watching take care
Those old pictures to just make a misspelled pile of and purchase, without even knowing the stories - how sad that makes me!!!
Very beautiful home. Those radiators are so cool. Very different. The one thing I noticed that would aggravate me is I seen a lot of things that were not for sale but yet they leave them out. It's kind of like if it's not for sale then they need to remove them because to me that would be a deterrent. I would see that and it would get annoying and I would leave.
My favorite item was the pendant lamp in the room over the garage! I really don't even know if it was for sale.
Me too! Loved it!
I saw several things that I liked, but I think that I would have bought the movie book.
The movie book caught my attention as well
Hey you.... thanks for taking us along..... l feel like you got good deals.... l could not really see the prices while you were filming ( is not a complaint) but maybe shows some of the prices if you can..... l was really admiring all the stuff in the house and also feeling bad because nobody was keeping some of the pictures.....just wondering....... seems like they had some old package of needles and other things... . Thought maybe you were going to pick some of those up..... thank you for been respectful while filming.... peace out
So sad to see all those unclaimed photographs.
More estate sale videos, please🙂
💕
Matilda is a favorite for me
So sad that they are selling all those old family photos 😞
