Your shop/thrift with me videos are my favorite!! ❤️❤️❤️. I would be in Heaven with 10 stores close enough to me to thrift in!! Those 30's end tables are fabulous! Boy!! When you finally find something of course it's a Victorian Era oil lamp and flow blue! 😂. Oh my gosh!! The pink stove!! 💗💗💗💗. The vintage ornament had me starry eyed!! Thanks so much for another great shop with me!!
I love hanging out with you! You make my long day so much better. You are a mess for sure! So funny sometimes I laugh out loud! Give sweet old Salem lots of love from South Arkansas.🥰
I'm so glad!
Thank you Scott for taking us along, had fun😁
Thank you for doing Thrift with me these "Live sales"' days! I'm giving you a hug for that!😂😂😂😂
Scott I was born in 54 we moved into a house in 58 had that exact oven in it but ours was turquoise! The house was built in 57 so my guess would be the oven was dated around 56. Boy did that bring back memories of my mom burning t-bone steaks in that broiler! Lol
SCRAM stinkbug!! You crack me up lol Wow Scott that was just fantastic to tag along w/you and see beautiful furniture pieces, vintage Christmas, the cute pink stove, but most of all for me, that gorgeous lamp! I would love to see a video sometime showing the proper way to go about cleaning a delicate lamp like that. Thanks so much for another fun video - hope you and Salem have a nice evening! Take care and lots of love to you both xo
I agree I would like to see how you clean and organize your finds.
You said everything I would have said, so I say: "Ditto."
@@frankneumann9286 Thank you!
That Victorian made my retinas detach too! It's gorgeous. I'm so glad it fell into your hands. You can do a wonderful job making it beautiful again!
10 stores in one day, I bow to the KING for sure! I really liked those 2 end tables you showed us, ( think it was the second store.)
Thanks for taking me to the city to go shopping with you Scott!! The sight-seeing was wonderful
🤗🏢⛪️🏛🤗
The house I grew up in had that pink wall oven, and matching all metal pink kitchen cabinets. Original kitchens can still be found in that area. That ReStore location is one of my local haunts ;-)
WOW!!! "1954-55" PINK & GRAY kitchens were "IT"...My Godmother built her new home in TRUMBULL,CT with PINK& GRAY theme..The bathroom had a GRAY TOILET & SINK & TUB...PINK & GRAY TILES on the floor & walls...As a little girl I was so impressed!!!
Oh wow, that pink stove! 😲 Love that little collection of vintage Christmas also!
I’m still dreaming about the cream and green stove you found awhile back! That pink stove is wonderful too! Love that 1930’s & 1940s furniture. It has soul.
Too much to praise !!! Just a perfect day of thrifting. I would be so happy to have the doctors pieces in my home. I will be looking for that brooch in your shop. It does something to me !! ♥️
Scott you are so silly but funny. You sure find the cool things.
Hey Scott, Always like driving across the Ben Franklin with you! Thanks for taking us along on a nice thrift haul.
I would totally have a detached retina if i found that blue and white in a thrift!
OMG How I wish we had any shops here to thrift from! So so jealous!
Thanks for taking us along and teaching me something new.
Love the old Victorian lamp...I also enjoy looking at vintage / antique furniture. I have seen amazing pieces at the restore shops.
Well. That's my haircut on Treasa Brewer. Loved listening to her music. And I had forgotten her song. Thanks Scott. Enjoyed shopping and looking.
Thanks for sharing you day. It was fun going shopping with you!
If I had that pink stove, I would re-do my whole kitchen around it!! My folks had a pink and gray kitchen with pine paneling. Formica boomerang countertops and pink and gray floor tiles.
That sounds AMAZING!😍😍
@@andie2809 The countertops had pink and gray boomerangs on a white background. They had stainless steel wall oven and cooktop. The dishwasher had paneling to match the pine cabinets. The dinette set was in shades of gray. My daddy did most of the work himself after they had the old kitchen bumped out several feet and framed in. The kitchen was large for its time, and I can still see every detail.
@@trixier6505 ❤💜🧡💛💚💙
You brought back the memories of my mother's kitchen of pink and gray tile. I wish I could talk things over again in that kitchen.
@@frankneumann9286 So do I, Frank
I wish you all the best on that auction that glass is absolutely stunning and I love that oil/electric light you found. Nice to see all the different stores and collections that you go to. Thanks so much for all the great videos. Will be waiting to see if you win the auction. Love to you and Salem.🐱💚😺💗😸💝😻😊😊😊
I really like going shopping with you... Thank you for sharing. ❤ to Salem
Was that "Down By the Riverside" I heard in the background?
I could have listened to "Put Another Nickel In" all the way through. So fun!
I can't wait to see the lamp when you're finished with it!
Yes, you are indeed silly. Don't ever change that about you. 😜
I need that pink stove in my life!
TOILET!!!! 😂🤣
My Mommom was the queen of brooches. ❤️
Thank you for another great video!
Lisa, I love your comments so very much ♥️🐩!!
@@elderlypoodle9181 Thank you! I'm a talker, so I tend to leave comments like I'm talking to someone. 🙂
I trust your detached retina Scott, the lamp is beautiful.
I did like the amber leafy looking dish you considered but rejected. Having Fall fatigue? I'm having election fatigue. Fall wants to teach us how lovely it can be to let go... 😇
I would love that pink stove! My mother thought that General Electric stoves in the 1950s were the best quality. I also love the flow blue.
I'm so glad you pulled the guts out of the oil lamp. I have a pear shaped one that is well, gutless. I always thought that it was a lamp originally, but didn't know about the holes in the metal on the inside. I have a fern inside mine. It looks lovely as a plant stand too!
Excited to see that lamp when you are finished with it!
I had blissfully forgotten Teresa Brewer. I sorry to her fans, but when I was much younger she drove me nuts. (No recording and no way to fast forward in those days.) The old Victorian oil lamp in just gorgeous. Looking forward to you restoring it. And wow! All those yellow Florentine dishes are wonderful. What I wouldn’t give to stumble across those. Gosh, I hope you win the bid on them. Oh! And you said it was a lovely “autumn” day. *sigh* How I’d love to have one of those here in good old SoCal. Keep staying safe.
I didn’t like the 80s furniture in the 80s! Fun trip today, Scott. Thank you!
with tessie brewer being inserted here, we must break out in more song: "my mom gave me a nickel to buy a pickle, I didn't buy a pickle, I bought some choo'n gum..." (you know the rest) ha....Thanks for the hang out today, Scott :----)
I love the 1950s stove😍 is beautiful Scott. Thanks for the shopping along trips 😉🖒
Love the Dixie Dogwood. have several pieces. Always fun watching you.
Hello again Scott, I am so envious of your pretty Victorian lamp, just love old oil lamps! I found some similar milk glass tumblers at a sale years ago, still use & enjoy them. They're not that dense, dead white of the newer stuff, have many pieces of antique milk glass, especially the animal covered dishes. I can't believe the prices of the items you purchased, WOW, we'd pay an arm & a leg for them here on the west coast!! Oh that radio! Nuf said, I'm blown away! Thanks for the fun, waiting to see the other stuff!
Great oven , thanks for the shop along Scott!
The painted cherub lamp is spectacular, I could not sell that.
I grew up hearing Teresa Brewer in my house.
What a voice. Teresa Brewer was one of a kind.
That Philco unit is fantastic. My son in law lucked into a mint condition Marconi which has pride of place in his space which is furnished in mid century modern I found at my local ReStore. He could resell it in Toronto for BIG bucks but he won’t because he loves it so much. I really enjoy your videos and though I’ve picked for over 60 years I’m still learning new information from you.
Loved everything! Thank you Scott 🤓
Detached retina... I guess so! How beautiful.!! Multiple entries because if I wait till end I'll forget. Sorry.
Another great video! Love that pink syrup jug! Bought the green one from you and that pink would look amazing next to it! 🥰
Hi Scott. The brooch looks to be Juliana. Very collectible. Don’t submerge it in water. Clean with a damp cloth. I have numerous pieces of it. The oil lamp is beautiful. I have one and just love it. Just a suggestion. Try and find a globe for it. Nothing else will look as good. Loved your video. Can’t wait for the next one.
I absolutely loved the antique stores! Or bid stores. The pink stove was awesome! I think I saw some kind of wooden furniture in your backseat. Looking forward to the countertop show and tell!
*hi Scott!* thanks for taking us along with you. i hit my fave thrift store yesterday, but got only a modern Christmas bracelet, 2 Lefton Thanksgiving pilgrim figurines (a boy and a girl), a small book, and a bisque kitty figurine looking into a fish bowl, total cost $5.30. nothing too exciting, but it got me out and about. *take care, kind sir!*
You're just having too much fun.!!!🤣🤣🤣 Love the lamp, good luck finding a shade ......😊 TFS!
Great finds thanks for sharing.
Your little opal glass tumblers are yogurt cups from a Salton yogurt maker.
Love the shop along
Scott your thrift along haul was magnificent. The Gone with the Wind Lamp is an oil lamp? I only have seen them as electric lamps. Wow the brooch is gorgeous it looks to be a highly collectible vintage Juliana. The jewelry community loves them and does EBAY. GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT CONTENT. THUMBS-UP ALWAYS!!!!!!!
I really enjoy thrift shopping with you. I was so excited when the vintage Christmas ornaments came up. That little lapel brooch was so pretty. I’m sure your mom would love it for her coat. Have a blessed day. Looking forward to your show-n-tell video.
Love the lamp, I would have had a hard time not doing a happy dance in the store, lol.
NO Scott your costume brooch is worth more than three dollars I would say more like 15 to 20 or more ,put it in your shop and see what happens .
Loved the lamp.
Nice shopping trip. Thanks.
Beautiful lamp!! A justifiable detached retina moment!
Great finds! Love the lamp
IF you return and buy that lonely Siesta Ware tankard I will buy it in a heartbeat Scott. My son in law is an underwater skills specialist! It’s perfect for him.
Enjoyed the ride along!!!
Fingers crossed for the Florentine glass🤞 it was beautiful.
Don't forget to take me with you when they open that gigantic thrift store. Love the Victorian lamp. Also love hearing the old songs my mom used to sing when I was a child. Before I was born she was a singer. We have a vinyl record of her from back in the thirties or forties singing "I got Spurs that jingle jangle jingle" lol the flip side was "is you is or is you ain't my baby"
looks like my godmothers 1955 pink stove.. the kitchen colors were pink & gray...
Very enjoyable video!! Wish I could go shopping with you in person but these videos will just have to do!! ;-)
I live in South Jersey. I only know of 1 thrift shop- wow your going to 10?! That lamp is a great find!! Go for the jewelry it sells well!
I was impressed by him going to ten shops in one day , as well !!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
we had a pink wall oven and stovetop growing up in a 60s ranch house
I seem to remember those Siesta Ware mugs coming in a sort of wagon wheel tray.
Hi Scott - If someone hasn't already mentioned it, the opal glass cups are made by Salton and are yogurt cups. They usually have white lids, used when folks would make their own yogurt. There are machines for making the yogurt as well. I've sold several over the last couple years along with the cups and lids. Hope that helps!
...and the streamline furniture...OH MY! So lovely!! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the info!
That pink stove was perfection 💗
Another great video, thank you. Love the lamp.
Love you Scott. You’re channel is my favorite and we’re the same age!, Love from South Carolina. I have an Airbnb with your name on it. :)
You rock!
Really enjoyed your video.❤
Love the flow blue covered vegtable.
I like your sunglasses.
Scott, I recognize Philly now! Love the lamp! Where do you find these things! So helpful how you described the lamp. I wondered if you would put a cloth shade or would it be a sin! Think you should gift the brooch to your mom or me! Well, she gives you the coupons! You shop for more elegant items than other thrifters. How did you know there would be black glass on the furniture or a lid for the dish? Your energy to film vintage is inspiring! Thank you! Maybe start shopping for jewelery!
I've seen many examples of the 1930's Deco doctors furniture and it always has black glass as a top surface. Also the pink glass is from the 1920's and I've studied 1920's glass for years. It had a lid with a tall pointy top. I've been into antiques for over 35 years. It's something I love.
And then "Closer, my dear come closer, the night is full of many memories when I'm dancing close to you..."!!!!!!! I played those old records over and over as a kid. "Buttons and Bows" and "Kiss of Fire" . LOL!!! I don't know why stores feel the need to blast music at shoppers. Not even any underpants at that store. The lamp is pretty. I had my garage sale last week, and sadly, no one bought the Dixie Dogwood plates/platters.
I wish that lamp could talk .
Wouldn’t that be the greatest !! I really want to know where the pieces come from and a picture of the first owners!!!!
Your converted oil lamp is very much like one my parents had years ago, also missing the top shade and also converted to electric. Theirs was painted with irises on a green background. It was really big and had nearly the same base as yours. The maker's name was on the base, if I remember correctly, but you had to remove the base from the globe to see it.
I'm finding a lot of videos that I missed but @ 2:40 was that Manhattan dishware @ store #1? I love love the two side tables.
Isn’t the Bombay Co out of business. I remember cleaning my store out of glass ornaments at 75% off several, several years ago.
I’m beginning to pick up cheap, vintage pins to personalize my high pony baseball cap with.
Yay! 🧡
Wow that stove
Please share (show and tell) your uranium glass collection in a future video!
Gertrude might say, "pink is pink is pink or pink by any other name..."... It's a wonderful surprise to see it there. I enjoying this video so much and wondering why or how it's giving so much more pleasure than others. Geez I'm too old to be hormonal. TMI? Sorry
I have the tall Santa in the case. I was born in 62.
I would love to hear comments from anyone as to how often donated items turn over...for example, all those dishes. Do they all find homes?---These visits never get old!
Those same milk glasses and they came in a box and they were for yogurt making they also came with lids
I had that same thought, however, glass that has that fiery translucence seems to be much older than those yogurt making sets. I had some Fenton crimped Silver Crest plates with that type of glass. They were from the 40s. I could be wrong of course. I wonder what Scott thinks?
Set of 2 Salton Yogurt Maker GM-5 White Milk Glass Cup
💜I sold a set of 4 juice cups (milk glass) on eBay💜
I am looking for a set of Thanksgiving dishes.
I have a question, didn't you recently find a glass footed dish with attached candle holder on it? Like a console dish or something? I was trying to find the video. Anyhow have a great dzy.
Hum....not that I can think of.
Love the video, do you have a full time job other then shopping.😁
If someone told me I had to get a root canal to get the streamline moderne dental furniture I would have done it gladly.
That Marigold carnival glass is Jeanette. I know. I've had one for sale. For ever. Ugh. Lol
If you are using the two pieces for a dining room, $475.00 plus cost of black glass, is not expensive for dining room furniture.
You might need to change your channel name to "The Old Lamp Shop" , you have really had some great luck with lamps. I hate those stink bugs, I think they look like Aliens 👽
I love your videos. I can't find the one where you are shopping with the other vlogger. His mask is off his nose. I wouldn't have tolerated this behavior. He ruined that video for me. I was worried about your health!
