I have to be transparent for a minute. My mom made this coaster when I was much younger. She did her best i am sure, but seeing her work with my eyes, now that I know how to crochet, and seeing your pattern also for this coaster makes me see my mom's mistakes. I am glad I can do this because I can replicate it and show my work to my mom. Cannot wait to try it.

Thank you so much @bellacoco. This was my first crochet ever, had never even practiced basic stitches and little test like I have seen later in other tutorials and I made now 4 of these 🎉 It is a great tutorial and beautiful pattern ☺️ To all beginners just keep going , 1st time is always a bit confusing but it keeps getting better 😊 Had no idea also there were specific ways to hold the crochet and yarn but watched a couple of videos later and that helped too.

I really really like your videos!!!!!!
    1) You have great lighting and video quality.
    2) You do not go too fast while showing stuff, you do not cover your work as you are working everything is paced really nicely.
    3) You explain stuff and then go on to do it instead of doing everything at once.
    4) You mention both the American and English versions.
    5) The best past of all!! You mark where one needs to pause in order to continue.
I really do appreciate the videos and the way in which you have filmed them because it makes it really easy to follow along. I dislike videos where people crotchet so fast its impossible to follow along. (repeatedly pausing to catching up and then failing to find the right spot to continue from!!!!) I am glad I found you on RUclips!
    Have a lovely day!

lovely tutorial, super easy to follow. One question tho.. I've been stuck on the first row, no matter how many times I watch over and over again, I cannot get 20 doubles to fit in the first row.. I'm wondering if the yarn i'm using is the problem or something else. Every single time i get about 15 doubles and cannot fit more. what do i doo?? 😵😵

Thank you so much!! I've wanted to learn how to make a doily as a gift for my Grandma, but I didn't know where to start... This tutorial has given me the perfect start to learning how to create doilies. I'm excited to be able to give my Grandma a gift I made! Thank you so so much. ❤️

I just made it as one of my very first crochet projects. I used a rainbow colored variegated yarn and it turned out so cool! Thank you for the very clear video! Instead of the chain circle I used a magic circle because it didn't come out very "circley" when I tried it, but it all turned out the same. Thank you again!

I gave this as a gift to my dad on his birthday, i was excited but unfortunately he wasnt very excited about it and I shouldve thought before giving it as a gift considering im also a beginner, and shouldve known the type of things he likes, (cuz it was like i was doing it more for me for 2hrs than for him.) Lesson learnt, so either way i learnt a lot from this video so thanks!!! ❤

Just made my first coaster by using this tutorial. It was so easy to follow along. I oy use Bella Coco to refer to what stitches I want to learn. I learnt how to do a granny square using her tutorial for that too. So straight forward. Also, glad you started doing your subscription boxes too. Thanks Bella. Your a great help especially where my nan taught me when I was younger n she passed 2015 and I stopped knitting and crocheting all together. Then I went into a charity shop n had an impulse to buy some needles and will and get back into it. Sorry for the essay. You inspired me to get back into doing it. Especially where I anxiety and paranoia issues. And this helps even when I'm travelling. Don't mind me getting my yarn n hooks out anywhere. Ahaa

I use to only knit until I finally was able to achieve the basic crochet stitches. Now I only crochet. It's more relaxing to me than knitting ever was.
