Ten Tips for Fast, Efficient WoW Leveling 100-110

- WoW Leveling 100-110 in Legion can be done much faster than you think! Find out the top tips for fast speedleveling/powerleveling through the Broken Isles as you level from 100-110. There are no heirlooms to give you experience bonuses for 100-110 at this time, so everyone will be on an even leveling speed playing field in Legion.
Leveling alts quickly in Legion is important- playing alts in WoW these days is rough because of how much there is to do in Legion at level 110, but if you can get the alt from 100-110 then you can start accruing Artifact Knowledge research so you have a headstart on that alt when you do pick it up eventually.
These leveling tips gave me a 100-110 leveling time of less than 12 hours of playtime on my druid, and that was with a lot of detours and some dumb deaths. With smart play and following these fast leveling tips, you should be able to cut your 100-110 leveling time down closer to 6-8 hours. Another thing to do which I didn't mention in the video is making sure you're tagging mobs that other players are killing. You'll get credit (and experience!) for the kill, and your damage may help the other player as they level too. Ranged attacks are great for this- don't go too far out of your way! Remember while leveling that your prime goal is to maximize the experience gain per hour.
If powerleveling isn't your thing, that's OK! There's nothing wrong with leveling at a more relaxed rate and enjoying things like gathering, hitting all the rares, hunting for treasures, and exploring the stories of the zones with side quests. It just won't get you from 100 to 110 the fastest! Quick leveling is a little less enjoyable than the scenic route, but at least it's over with quickly! There's too much to do in Legion at level 110 to be fiddling around forever leveling.

The only useful video about leveling from 100-110 that I've seen so far. Cheers :)
I just started playing WoW and your videos are very helpful, thanks alot!
Skipping the bonus objectives? Blasphemy!
I kinda agree with you... They give a lot of exp., we shall do them as soon as they pop up in the map.
If you do bonus obj, turn on the new objective highlight option in the system menu, and aim for the click items. Just killing mobs will slow you down tremendously. After questing in an area, I'm often times at about 60%. I generally spend maybe 3 minutes to hit 100? The click objectives are often times worth 2x the gain. And at 4-6% each, that's a tasty treat.
no fucking way should you skip the bonus objectives
Stop talking to people as if they're 11 year old kids man, this isn't Wowhead comments.
***** gonna assume you're not talkin about me
Fantastic video. Finally a leveling video that isn't just obvious tips
Getting lost and falling off something tall = Entirety of High Mountain ;)
Dang Ettins love to throw me.
Great video and some very useful tips, good job:)
I liked it a lot.
Thank you for the tips hun, I am working on my alts now. And now I kinda wish I didn't have so many.
Great tips! I've heard there is a priority queue system in place for normal dungeons where if you're on the quest for the pillar you'll get into the dungeon much faster. It can save you time if you wait until you have the quest to queue!
Great guide. Some bonus obj are good though. The naga one is very easy with the spears on the giants and some on highmountain are very easy to do while questing too.
Excellent tips. As a teacher, I appreciate good instruction when I see it!
thank you for making me feel so smart and good at the game now!
great vid! thanks for sharing!
Loved your video!!
wish I could like this more than once! thank you for the informative video! :)
Very good tips. Also would like to add if still not 110 by doing this do the faction quests in Stormheim. If still not 110 after the faction quests in Stormheim do the Arena quests in Azsuna.
Excellent guide, one thing though on PVP servers never go afk when flying to a flightpoint. You will have to do a corpse run when you get back with tea.
If you have a ton of alts and your going to rotate leveling them then you should get some of the chests so you can send your champions on the quests that give your character bonus xp. That will help you with that final level. Also if you have not done it you can get all the treasures from the previous expansion.
Thanks for the Tips :)
These are great tips, i finally got around to play legion and i've been doing nothing but running around awing at all the cool stuff and killing rares....
I lvled as a Holy paladin in pvp gear and I can confirm it isnt as slow as you may think if your pulling a good amount and using aoe also if your on a dominated server by either horde or ally then you can tag mobs that someone from same faction has tagged and just one hit and move along and they complete killing quests for you. Also by being a healer i put alot of artifact power into my weapon which helped make dungeons go a lot smoother.
I cleared each zone of quests and all bonus objectives before going to another zone and you can skip out one zone completely as I got 110 before finishing my 3rd zone, it took me roughly 3 days in total and made about 60k in gold or more.
A good video! Though I believe you'll get to friendly rep with the factions of the zones, it would be worth saying it here, because you'll need it to unlock World Quests. Other than that, I can find no weak spots in this video, so well done :-)
wouldn't leave a zone till you are at least friendly with the faction otherwise you need to go back before you can do anything at max.
turning off treasure chests add on..i figured this out on my 3rd alt..lol ..i agree 100% and learned a few tips for staying focused on max xp rewards and moving to next area at friendly rep lvl THANKS =)
It's going to be painful for me.. but.. I'm going to try it.
Seeing how research notes don't start until lvl 110, it's fundamental to not hit these just yet.
However, although people say the artifact notes don't retroactively change the amounts, I've been noticing a very different behavior with some that I've stockpiled. The quest ones aren't scaling, but the ones I got from treasure chests, especially the crude statues. .. are scaling whenever I up my research on my weapon.
yep me too
If you just have 1 alt, turning off the treasure addons might help, but if you have a few alts, killing the rares and getting the treasures while leveling through your first zone really helps, cause then you have enough resources to park your alt in your class hall, and do the xp quests. I did this with my DK... my main and first alt are taking up all my time, but because I spend an hour killing rares and getting chests. While I haven't had time to send my DK out in a week...his followers were able to do about 4 XP quests and it helped alot
Awkward moment when you say don't level as healing. As it turns out holy was stronger than ret lol
I can confirm Holy paladin is viable to lvl with :)
jupp
Yup, that's how I leveled my paladin. Only slightly slower (not much) and damn near indestructible. I was impressed.
actually i feel that way with mistweaver monk too
I heard leveling as disc faster than shadow is was it true?
The food item "Fighters Chow" is extremely important for leveling because it gives 100% out of combat hp regeneration, removes any fear of dying from most fall damage and tough fights. If it doesn't one-hit kill you, then you won't die.
If you do some bonus objectives you don't have to go back at 109 and search for side quests. I did 2-3 bonus objectives per zone and got to 110 with the very last dungeon quest.
Nice, I recently came back after 2 years almost. thanks for this guild. enhance sham here lol
Why they removed xp rewards for raremobs and trasures is beyond my understanding! No dungeon quests...
I mean its like a person on Blizzard was like: "How can we make questing more tedious, boring and painful?!"
That's exactly what they said cause people complained how easy it was
Yeah bc ppl are stupid, they think lvling is a essential part of the game and stuff like that, lol. xD
I lvl from 1-110 in a few days straight not doing anything but sleeping and playing, its already a chore to lvl to 100 but then the last 10 lvl are a pain in the ass... especially since you basically do the exact same shit you did while lvling after you reached 110 to gear yourself up... its like D3... blizz rly likes recycling content...
I leveled my paladin as Holy and I was more than happy with it because I could pull a TON and aoe them down with Consecrate and I was able to keep myself alive through anything thrown at me
Sweet stuff!
Im curious, what is that set of armor you got on your paladin?
Good vid jose
Actually for some classes healer artifact isn't that bad choise as first one. I was killing mobs on my holy pally at equal rate compared to my friends with fire mage and enha shaman due to the burst dps desing of the spec. Also disc have way more survivability than shadow, while the difference in damage isn't that huge (while leveling) because of the ramp up time on damage for shadow. Plus you never die and have the convenience of not having all the AP items taking bag/bank space before you use them on your healer spec ;)
It's mainly at 110 and past 830 gear when the cap between healer and dps gets big enough to notice any major difference. But even at 110 some offer guite good dps. For example on my paladin (with 841 ilvl) when people don't stand in fires and the tank isn't made out of paper I can pull out 200-250k dps for the boss fight. But that rarely happens so usually it's somewhere between 100k and 200k Talking about 5mans here btw, not raids :P
I was just going to ask, I was going to level my priest as disc, I figured its got way more survival than shadow.
while the other ones I cant say, I had a ret paly try to gank me as priest trying, and he couldnt take me down past 50%.
I'll try this with my druid!
What I did while leveling my healer is that I just save all my AP items I gain and use them when I get the quests at 102 to grab my next artifact weapon and just keep the dps one at level 1, that way you dont "waste" AP on an artifact you won't use at 110.
Ooo Another Tip Get some Fighter Chow to minimize down time.... Add 1000% out of combat health regen buff
I dont agree with skipping rare mobs ,unless you are a soft dps (me on lock or mage) but as ret pally or warrior i carve into them. They give a big hunk of xp . Also most bonus objectives in Legion are not available until you accept a quest in that area so they are worth it
Where can I find a list of JUST the main line quests for each area? I tried doing the bare minimum in order to get to the dungeon quest but ran out of quests and not sure which I should have picked up that I skipped. Thank you!
can you do a video on gear , or like a gear guide, cause im having trouble with that , trying to get gear for mythics?
Thanks for the tips Hazel. I like your warrior's mog, what is the helm?
Crown of the Fire Festival apparently. It's so easy to forget where you got everything when it's all in an Appearance tab these days!
there is source text you know
what's that red armor your night elf was wearing? it's so cool
good job. im doing some of those things already but im just full clearing off my alts. the areas are pretty fast. im a monk healer. it's the only healing spec that might be faster to level then dps. even with the mist nerf that happen i wouldn't recommend that later on in the expansion tho. the difference is mist can aoe all day with spin crane kick with people in the quest area i normally clear out fast.since u can muti tag mobs. u drop the tot. then spin ur done and u can do it while watching a tv show. it's pretty sad. Id never level as a holy healer LMAO but as a mist monk it's cake.
leveling healer was not that bad, until u got around to an alt when things went much faster
Recommend you also get *all* your artifact weapons at toon level 102 to 103. If you wait until you're 110 to get the rest of the artifact weapons, the bosses are almost exponentially harder, at a time when nobody else can help you. Get 'em early, get 'em all.
I think the consensus is you level to 110 by just doing three and a quarter of the zones and just doing the pillar quests associated with them.
About skipping the Broken Shore scenario, I skipped it with my warlock, and it was a terrible idea. Everybody says to skip it if you have done it once before. What they should say is, skip it, *_unless you need the 685 blue weapon it rewards!_* If you have been leveling through dungeons, and hit 100 with some 550ish weapon you picked up along the way, you need that quest reward badly.
I am physically incapable of not doing the bonus though. I have to fill that percentage bar. I just have to!
Leveling as a holy pally was very easy when choosing the right talents. I went from 100 to 110 with only a few hours of play time per level. I did nothing but questing and had a fun time. I can not speak for the other classes but holy pally leveling is easy.
i got stucked in lvl 109 on my first character (back on the launch of the xpac), so i need to go back to some maps to make "side quests"
i cant wait for the day blizzard realises it doesnt mater where you die in HM oder stormheim you need a fucking ghostgryphon... ESPECIALY in stormheim with the damn graple hook you have either a 30 minute ghost journey to do when you die or you need to stop for 10 minutes because you couldnt get to your damn corpse
raver377
Why even need something to ride? You're a ghost, why can't we just fly as ghosts. Period. Even at level 1. What's the harm?
Good tips ^_^
Leveled as Holy Priest & Prot Pally sure it was slower but i had fun and i have Raided Emerald Nightmare & Trials of Valor with my Guild no worries.
How do you know which quests are considered side quest/main quest?
The rare mobs are pretty easy to kill for me, as a feral druid. Takes like 30 seconds. So it's fun.
Yesterday I successfully got from 100-110 in 12.5 hours and I saved all my dungeons until the end when I was 110.
is there an easy way or add-on that will let you only do the main story lines?
actually the greatest way to level is, doing your specs campaign then storyline you mostly know. I leveled like this mage from 100 to 110. but yours are good as well just an opinion :P
I levelled both my monk and my paladin in the heal spec and it took about the same amount of time as all my other alts. And I'm sitting on about 14 110s so far.
same with my pala no problem, also i lose less hp in that spec than retri.
is the AK on your alts far behind?
+N1cE2pLaY haven't bothered with it on all of em tbh. I got em to 110 then logged off because I kinda want to get through all 24 alts before gearing/working on anything aside from my main.
Alannah Munro 24 alts wtf is leveling your passion? :D
N1cE2pLaY tbh in wod there wasn't much to do after HFC, so a lot of people that I know just started lvling day and night in order to have more chances to get mounts and or make more money farming cataclysm content.
Hazel reminds me of "Entertaining with Beth." :3
These are some great tips however the after having a 110 of each class already I can say holy paly was actually fastest for me....
how do you know which quests are the main story and which ones aren't?
Hazelnuttygames I love your tmog/gear
For your #10...Pretty sure you have to get to Dalaran and complete one or two quests to start getting rested XP? I don't think you can just log in and log out. Thats how you presented it.
Ok good to know. Thx
how long did it take you level from 100-110?
Sure you say dungeons are a slow way to level but I'm a healer with a tank friend so it goes really fast when everyone else just wants to dps.
I'd also suggest using conslegion add on
How can you tell if the quest is the main story quest or not?
Don't forget to grab a Combat Follower, getting FREE xp for the follower everytime you complete a quest, and resources, gold or order hall if you have the level up item slot. Switching em out as they level up is prob good, as the grind past a certain level becomes undoable.
When you said "Do not collect drums for a party, do not escort someones grandma" i looked down on my desk like a dog feeling guilty about making a mess. :) SO me!
This is helpful
Do the side quest. Yes they might not give as much exp but they have gear ( which gets you in dungeons) and 26 slot bags items that are need while browsing the broken isle. I am a level 107 mistweaver monk and the DPS is average but hey I leveled. But if you are an altohalic like this girl then maybe take her advice! She has like over 15 character! Omfggg
Good tips.. only thing I really dont like is the bonus objective tip.. you should allways do them they give a big chunk of XP. and none of them are hard at all you can do them while questing
Hello! Just wondering if anyone knows of an addon or sites that tells/shows you the storyline quests only?
i couldnt turn down killing a rare if i wanted ot
any tips for someone who leveled to 110 outside of legion? (was doing pet battle content) I just need some better gear now, but not really sure where to get any from.... should I just start doing the quests or something you think!?
Get to friendly with all of the basic factions (Court of Farondis, Dreamweavers, Vallahjar, Highmountain Tribe), and I believe... the Nightfallen, so that you can unlock world quests. Once you do that, the world quests will give you better gear. And, as your gear and artifact get better and better, the rewards from world quests will scale into something better as well!
Of course, you can also run instances. Which will also help you gear up. But, most of the time I just do world quests, because it's easier. And I don't have a lot of time to play atm.
ConsLegion + Autoturnin addons. They cut my leveling down to half!
Bastarden just FYI, conslegion has auto turn in built into it
Bastarden ikr
conslegion is the best addon for lvling by far .
where do you get your artifact weapon
Anyone know what nameplates she uses? It looks really clean.
If you really want to level fast, get an add-on called ConsLegion. It tells you the fastest way to level in every zone.
They have updated the XP you get from random dungeons, it's decent now but still nothing amazing. I leveled my resto druid pretty quickly this way. Get a good tank and stick with him/her
went from 90 to 110 as resto shammy was fun
Are those pauldrons real? They're so cool.
What is the mage robe mog?
I have tried to do specific dungeons. The wait timer said less than a minute... I was in the Q for 30 mins when I gave up :)
Of all the silly things. I generally wait 10 mins, then drop it, and requeue. Strange that it sometimes works. Also, clicking the "I would like to be leader" box got me into a group once. Maybe just superstition, but I've not had much of a wait, even at off hours now. 15 at most using DPS. At like 4am PST
I did drop it and re-Q. It did the same thing like 3 times :( I haven't been able to try again (work keeps me from playing) I am hoping it will work better.
thanks babe
Holy Paladin is really good for leveling, essentially burst mobs down with judgement/holy shock. :l
this voice... angel-like...
I require the outro song.
go for tressures i got a legendairy lvl 105 plus u wil have alot of resouses at lvl 110
The Voice.
I have two paladins, one dps (Horde), one healer (Alliance). My Holy paladin is doing more damage and lasting longer than my retribution paladin.
Here I am eight months later, only just finding out that I could have skipped the Broken Shore on all of my alts. :/
treasures drop legendarys??
i need a lvl guide from 85 to 110 ... i have no ideea what to do in pandaria ...
Quest until you reach the earliest level it recommends you be in the next zone, then go to that zone. Going from Valley of the Four Winds to Kun-Lai Summit can be confusing at first, but there's a tiny path along that northern mountain range closer to the eastern side of the zone that is guarded by grummles, or tiny panda-gnomes. Going along that path will take you to a ferryman who will let you catch a boat ride to Kun-Lai. Once you reach the Dread Wastes, that's where you will go until 90. Then welcome to WoD. Rinse and repeat.
Get WoWPro Addon.
You can start The Legion Questline with 98 :)
i lost a quest line so rip
1. Choose a tank/heal spec.
2. Dungeon.
i have to disagree with number 8 if your a tank you are completely fine leveling as one heck ied even say if your dps level as a tank and throw the AP onto your DPS weapon later yes you will kill stuff slower but not by much and unless you way over pull you won't die or have to stop after each fight to heal up same can be said for a dis priest though no AOE attacks sucks, i cant talk for other healers as i haven't played them yet.
im 99% sure she said tank specs are fine
Douger77 she did but i disagree as its easier to level as a tank (also ied already typed my message by that point in the video) yes you kill stuff slower but not by much and you're almost unkillable i consider that to be so much of an up side to leveling as a tank that its more than worth the slower kill time.
the only thing that changes this is if your a dps that's really tanky like a ret pally or if your lucky and have a bodyguard that can tank, my priest was 106 before i got my second bodyguard and he is letting me play as shadow but before that if i tried to level as shadow ided drop to 40% and if i get a second mob ied nearly die, i also think that TTK is a bit long in legion.
holy crap you sound a lot like Anne Stickney from Blizzard Watch.
DO NOT SKIP BONUS OBJECTIVE they give a huge amount of xp
So, there is not any new, even a bit faster way, to get your new characters from 1 to at least 90? :D We moved with friend from PVP server to PVE a bit too late to use invasions for 12 characters... I personally was checking that timeless isle guy but didnt got any potion ever. Rapid Mind is very expensive so also bad way :D I suppose we are doomed for new servers and new dungeons on all chars :(
