- The top 10 easiest to obtain mounts. Weather it be your new to the game, or maybe you just missed a few of the easier to get mounts if you took a break from the game. Whatever the reason, here are some of the easiest mounts to obtain. Just a little heads up, I wont be talking about class mounts, or the default griffon/ windriders. Everything else though, is pretty much fair game.

It's because it was going to be a feature but they never implemented it since it adds an entire new level of pvp to balance and would make a lot of the pve content completely joke worthy. So they just left it in for those dailys instead. (plus in Nagrand if you pick that garrison thing, and that does tell you how much of a joke it makes any PvE if you play a ranged class)

No, it is considered a terrible play, but tons of armor is the thing people recognise Control Warrior by, so Armor Up became their kind of "symbol". You usually want to save up the coin to drop a higher-cost card ahead of the curve or to pull of some kind of combo, but the Coin Armor Up move is a sign of overdosing Control Warrior.
Now you can tell the control warrior players by their lack of a turn 1 patches xD

I have to admit. I have been playing for 5+ years and never knew that. Very helpful. I actually started a notebook of useful info like portals, flight paths, etc. due to my limited time to play.

It was my first drake mount now with the exception of newish store robot drake I got all of them.
So, this tab has been opened in my browser for a month. Finally got around to doing all the garrison missions and except for the 100k+ vendor mounts I've finally got everything on this list! Thank you for such an easy to follow list:) Before starting I only had the Hearthsteed and the Seahorse so definitely a good list for me to add mounts I had long forgotten about.

The Lorewalkers reputation mount was my easiest rep mount. You can get exalted with them in under an hour with the Scrolls around pandaria. There a guides about it.

Loki you just click once and wait for 3sec.. you dont need to click it in same time... just click and do norhing
Lorewalkers flying red disk. You just have to visit the "scrolls" littered about the place (easy with addon and flying) and bam exalted and a mount.
that pandaran mage tip was godly, 12 basically free mounts, it got me the mountain o' mounts achievement so thanks a lot man!

Farm some ghost iron ore and sell them in 20er stacks, the Ingenieurs need them for the pandaria mount, they need like 300 bars for each mount and 30 days because of the cool down, but it's worth on my server 20 ghost iron ore goes for like 50-100 gold and If your BB on 600 you get in one hour like 2-4 stack ghost iron ore try it

I remember having the Bronze Drake in my bank for weeks before I was able to buy Epic Flying. I probably would have had it sooner though if I hadn't borrowed gold to buy dual spec back when it was still 1k (and I was like 75-76 at the time >_>).
The darkmoon faire's Forest Strider/dancing bear was one of the very first mounts I got back when I began WoW (Cata). All it required was going to DMF, getting the journal, doing some dungeons and recieving those quests off of random mobs or bosses. A few turn-ins and boom, you got yourself a mount. Although I suppose it wouldn't fit in the top 10 easiest mounts, but they're up there in the easy factor!
Also shoutout to the swift lovebird since all you have to do is kill crap that is appropriate to your level and get some charms. Quite a few charms, and it only comes around once a year but, easy. And cheap if you decide to buy it!

The Darkwater Skate (a water mount) just requires you to fish up 500 darkmoon daggermaw. Depending on your fishing lvl, and if the DMF is on, this is easy to get, if you're patient. You could also just buy them from the AH, but fishing them up is easier.
The Battle Bear is now one of the easiest?! I remember when I got it, still in Cata, it was so awesome, such an achievement.
on 4.1 patch.With gear from firelands and dragon soul later on, ppl were storming through the dungeon and suddenly everybody had those bears...
If you got it when Zul'Aman was relevant you can still be proud and show off, because it was a different color than it is now. They changed it in the next expansion when people could make timerun without effort.

That's what i meant. Back in TBC the armor of the bear was red, and later when everyone could make the rimerun easily (maybe this was still TBC? Dunno) they changed the color to what we have now. Or did you mean something else?

although this is 3 years late, for the Zul'aman instance for the Amani battle bear be sure to RIGHT CLICK the gong ONCE and wait for Vol'jin to walk away from the gong before moving away and stopping the action. I don't know if I'm just a casual but it took me way too long to open those doors lmfao
how cool would it be if you could start a game of heartstone by just talking to NPCs or other players in wow?kinda like it was done in final fantasy 8.and there could be quests to obtain cards and maybe you could trade cards for items and vice versa.get the bosses card after you beat him etc.and the whole thing could be much more interconnected.really a missed opportunity

You say FF8 but that exact same card game is in FF14, and it works just like you said. I wouldn't be half-surprised if they implemented that into WoW eventually.

That would mean people need to play world of warcraft to get certain cards in Hearthstone. Which isn't really their way of thinking. Hearthstone is just a warcraft themed tcg, but it's not like their card game revolves around warcraft.

I remember telling my friend back in Wrath that I wanted something to fly on besides a gryphon, and she took me to CoS and helped me get the bronze drake in a dungeon finder group. Good memories 😊
It's kind of funny you mentioned the bronze drake at #1. I've been watching these videos even though I haven't played wow in about 3-4 years. I remember farming for the bronze drake at level and having it be one of the more difficult, but fun, mounts to get without just plain outgearing the dungeon by a large margin.
Good list. I'm glad the first 6 mounts weren't just the ones from the garrison and you piled them into 1 on the list. Although that does sorta make the list way more than just 10 mounts
I think the Talbuks in Old Nagrand are relatively easy to get. For being a rep grind it doesn't take too long, and quests alone give you a decent portion of it.

Thanks. I'm kind of an achievement hound and this will help me quite a bit. The video is clear and to the point. Perfect for a more casual gamer like me to get in and out in the hour or two that I might have a couple times a week.
Added note in regards to the heirloom mount. While you can not get all 35 of the heirlooms this way, a large bulk of them can be earned in Darkmoon Faire. Just need a small army of alts, and a highly skilled alt in fishing. Fish up tonnes of those daggermouth fish, then trade 00 each to each of the other alts to do the treasure map mission. That gives you the 100 prize tokens, which is more then enough for the armor pieces, then play a few games for the extra 20 tkens for weapons. Afterthat, shattera city is best place to fill in the rest of those blanks, with the rep bonus discount.
Noone probably remembers this, but the bronze drake is also a timer mount.
There's a timer between the moment you do the necro boss in the house and accessing the infinite corruptor at the end.
If you take too much time, the bronze drake gets corrupted into a infinite drake and flies away.
The timer is so easy though that even then most groups could clearthe instance easily before the boss disapears at lvl 80 with dungeon gear
i would switch the places of the bronze drake and the black/twilight drake. Because the time you need to get the black/twilight is way shorter then doing stratholme. :D
shares a lockout though so some people can only do it once a week lol
Haven't played wow since mop but can't seem to get away from it forever. Hard to leave something you invested so much time even if it's not that fun anymore
I remember my first flying mount during the Wotlk days was the bronze dragon. I rolled need, got it, and immediately left the group lol.
The bronze drake has a special place in my heart, it was the first drake mount I got, I love dragons so I went mad when I got it
I think the twilight/black drake beats the bronze, cuz it's literally in front of you but for the bronze you gotta go through the dungeon and the event. I mean, time wise it's easier

I remember asking my dad (yes he plays the game too) to help me to do Culling of Statholme. We didn't know he had to do Heroic so we did the whole thing in normal. When I found out I was so frustrated and when I lvld to 80 straight away, I asked my dad to do it again. We did it and I was so happy that I got my first drake xD
I remember leveling my DK from 65 to 70 just farming ogres to get the Kurenaï mounts. Should be even more easy now that you can level up to 80 in TBC, just put up your heirloom gear and go on an ogre rampage.
I tried doing the same with my priest for the nether ray mount but the elites from the skyguard dailies are still pretty hard to solo at lvl80-82 so I had to return to it later :/
I personally take pride in my Frostwolf title and Swift Frostwolf mount. It's not insanely hard but it is tough. The best way I know how is after doing all 6 chapters and side quests in Frostfire Ridge; you grind about 20k rep off Mag'narok mobs. Took me a little over 3 days to do but that's on a 3 day weekend.
the one Burning Crusade Halaa Talbuks are basicly give-aways now through Garrison missions in Warlords of Draenor. You occationally get missions offering the Halaa research and Halaa battle tokens. A single garrison mission is enough to buy either one of the Talbuks
Sons of Hodir rep is really easy now and there are two mounts. One at revered and one at exalted. (1k and 10k respectively)
The Netherwing Drakes are gated behind rep, but with the easieast grind in the game, only about two or three hours of killing birdmen in Terokkar, Outland, TBC. Sha'tari Skyguard reputation, if I remember correctly. Very easy, too.
Garn Nighthowl: on the ah for around 2-3k.

If you are Exalted with your guild rep, there’s the lion and scorpion mounts available at the guild vendor. They are pretty cheap if I recall.
Fantastic ideas for unlockable mounts! I really need to get a flying carpet especially with the new prof nerfs in BfA. And well, I might not have Pathfinder in Draenor (sigh) but at least this will be motivation to get there!
For the Class trial thing, I found the Hearthstone sends you STRAIT to your capital City, where you can go to pandaria, do a Shortish flight to your faction's shrine, then warp to the city the vendor is near
Doing these on a new toon in 2022, went for the twilight drake and ALMOST left without checking the loot box ;-; It's almost like a 6th sense went off for me to turn around. Glad i did.
the riddlers mind worm is definitely up there as one of the easier mounts to get. Although somewhat little known, a couple hours of running around plus some lowbie raids and youll have it
It took you two tries to get the bear mount wow, unlucky. It has a 99.9% drop chance (I'm pretty sure)
Oh, I remember when I was a little nooblet and my friend carried me through to getting 3 drake mounts. When we were in Strathholm, he was just 1-shotting everything, while I was following around, looting all the corpses. Then taunting me with "Looney, you're slow! Hurry the fuck up!" Then with the other two, I probably wouldn't have just got on my own for a long time, because I would have just killed everything without the instruction not to. 😂
The Brown and Tan Riding Camels. Once you hit Level 83, you can go to SW/Org to take a portal to Ramkahen, Uldum. Once there, you can buy a Tabard that gives you Rep when killing dungeon mobs and bosses with Ramkahen. Reaching Exalted unlocks the ability to purchase the mounts! This is especially easy if you're also farming some dungeons for other mounts and/or Transmog gear; additionally this method also works for all racial factions that award mounts as well as the Huojin/Tushui Pandaren

With the stable mounts, I know it's a little trivial if you're doing it at max level now a days. But since you're fighting on the animal with different buttons, if you bring a friend with you that can one shot the creature after you hit it, it goes a lot faster
Back in Cata my first run in Heroic ZA we got the bosses in under 25 min and I won the bear, felt so good lol.
The cloud serpents is quite easy to farm these days.. even was in the end of pandaria collecting eggs for exalted + it gives battle pets aswell
The Hearthsteed took me hours at the time, since when I did Casual it paired me against people with legendaries and I just gave up for a bit.
I feel like an idiot for not knowing about the stable mounts you can easily get, and I played for about half of WoD but always chose the same building for all my characters..sigh.

Kristoffer Andersson the stables was awesome, made it so enemies couldn't dismount you, and you could interact with items without dismounting, and it was a passive mount speed increase there
I would have thought that you'd list the Darkmoon Faire mounts as they aren't hard to get, just making sure you do the 6 profession quests enough times to get the 180 tickets needed each for the Darkmoon Dancing Bear and the Swift Forest Strider. And the even easier to get new mount - the Darkwater Skate, which you can buy with 500 of the Darkmoon Daggermaw fish.
Back in my days the last three mounts were some of the most difficult to obtain.

the netherwing were a grind, but i got them at the appropriate level for the zone pretty easily. it was just mundane. i wouldn't say they were difficult, just irritating.
anything that involves rng, i think, is the hardest
there are 2 mounts added in legion which are easy to get... the first is from Kosumoth the Hungerer.... Basically run all over the broken isles collecting 10 hidden orbs in various locations and at the end of the quest, depending on the week, he will either drop a jellyfish mount 100% drop or a pet from the WQ.... the other is the Spirit of E'chero.... requires lvl 1 arch to get and 600 bone fragmnts

You can get to the caverns of time from new dalaran aswell. Just go to the middle of the city and use the portal. Head straight and you can find the portal there. No need to go to old Dalaran.
there is a portal to the caverns of time in new dalaran too. it is the far left portal in the portal room where you went to wyrmrest temple.
I think the second easiest mount to get is the jellyfish mount. I remember doing an hour long run clicking all the orbs and killing the big boss for it. it was kinda a cake walk on a demonhunter
Although easy, most people don't know or don't care to get the orbs. If you do take the time though, super easy.
DexterousCobra that orb clicking was hard before lol. if someone clicks it, you would have to wait 6hrs+ to let the orb spawn again. god that was stressful for me lmao
DexterousCobra I did that in the first week it was available, after the world announcement. Iirc orbs 6 and 9 were pure AIDS, stupid forced crossrealm areas
the last orb was hard as fuck before the fixed it took me 5 days to complete it
It's just a pain when you need to click Orbs in HighMountain. Lucky I had the Glider. But yeah, I finished it in about 2-3 hours cause I took my time and then waited almost 2 weeks for the WQ to give me the Mount - always the fucking Pet.
I forget the name of the mount but in your Garrison if you have a level 3 trading post you can go into shattrath and earn rep on the sha'tari defense faction. I did it on my 110 Hunter and used some bear tartare and I get the entire rep done in about 6 hours
he should make top 10 grindiest mounts to get, for me it's corrupted dreadwing, I do love this bird in green
Also with the hearthstone mount I found that if for some reason the person you're fighting leaves the match, it also counts as a win. So if you get lucky LOL
Maybe it's not so easy now, but I found the Red Drake from the Wyrmrest Accord rep vendor to be suuuuper easy.
Just put on a WotLK tabard and spam 80 dungeons or I think there's also rep tokens in Dalaran.
I got it during Wrath so I was grinding dungeons anyways so basically everyone had access to that mount.
As someone who only played vanilla, I lost it at the "ONLY +60% run speed".

I got the hearthsteed years ago in 2017 before I ever played wow. Played wow for acouple days in 2019 then just started actually playing again about a month ago been having a lot of fun. The first mount I got that wasn’t a cheap racial mount for 1 gold was the virtuous stone drake on my second run of the stone core. Trying to get the one from vortex pinnacle now
finally someone admitting that the travellers tundra mammoth is not cheap
funny enough i dont think that vashj ir seahorse isnt account wide so you have to get it on all of your toons to have it
Actually there's a pretty easy to get mammoth mount from sons of hodir. It can be purchased from a vendor when you are at least honored reputation with them. To earn the reputation you have to compleat only one quest chain. For me it took about three hours.
the seahorde one is good for getting the red monocle for the octopus puzzle
Cenarion Expedition for Hippogryph mount. Literally do the first 5 quests, then run Underbog Heroic, killing nothing but trash, leave bosses alive, run out and reset, repeat. I got exalted in 1 day from zero rep. Easiest rep mount I've ever gotten. i was actually a little shocked. :P
Imo twilight and black Drake are easier to get than bronze just because of the time needed to spend to get it
Well yes and no. I believe the reason he put the Bronze dragon on number 1 instead, is because the Twilight and Black drake both share the week "cooldown", whereas the Bronze dragon is obtainable at a 100% chance once, in a simple heroic dungeon for level 80's.
So, the Twilight/Black drake is harder to obtain because they require more time.
The Asexual Jelly Bean I under stand where you are coming from, yes the bronze Drake is easier to obtain at a lower level. For a maxed character hunting mounts on a single instance for either black or twilight Drake is faster than running a fresh non shortcut culling of strathholme
I challenge you to clear Culling of Stratholm to obtain the Bronze Drake quicker than you can kill the center boss in Obsidium Sanctum to claim EITHER of the Drakes there... you claim the week lockout as the reason CoS is easier because the weekly lockout at WORST would prevent you from getting THE SECOND DRAKE from OS... the FIRST drake you get from OS comes much, Much, MUCH faster than the first (and only) drake you'll get from CoS. >> None of your arguments hold water on the "takes more time to do OS to get a mount than CoS to get a mount"... it's a false premise. Both CoS and OS are lvl 80 instances, and OS can be cleared VASTLY FASTER than CoS to grab a mount... the fact you can get a 2nd mount from OS when you can't get a 2nd mount from CoS isn't a negative to how fast you can grab the 1st mount from OS.

yeah so easy to get... took me just 42 tries...
42 tries is very easy... took me way over 400 tries to get mine.
U don't even have to make a pandaren in order to get the dragon turtles, just go to the big city (Stormwond or ogrimmar) at the pandaren spawn and talk to the quarter master to get a tabart and just do dungeons, It's fun and it's really easy, had honored in a couple hours of doing dungeons. And It was pretty easy because I was doing dungeons already to get a higher level.
the kite from pandaria is really easy to get.. rep grind by finding lore items.. install an addon that shows where the scrolls are and fly around and pick em up
each time you complete a set a mail gets sent to you by lorewalker cho, it's a quest item that gives you a large amount of rep.. if you have flying in pandara this only takes around 3-4 hrs
Lamycorie That is the Red Flying Cloud Disc you're talking about, the kite is for getting exalted with every reputation in Pandaria that was available at launch of MoP. This includes the Tillers which requires a rather long chain. Due to the daily lockouts.

to get the bronze dragon do you ignore all the bosses and run to the end or actually kill the bosses? I'm a little hazy how that works.
i'm surprised the lorewalker's flying cloud isn't in here. took me all of an hour to get from neutral to exalted with the help of a map of all the lore scrolls around pandaria.

The easiest mount to get (besides the 1gold ram) is the mount you get from doing a death knight mission
I'd say time-lost is quite easy to get. I didn't even have to be logged into the game to get notified about it.
I just watched a movie and a guildie called me on skype and asked if I wanted it, he apparently stumbled upon it again in stormpeaks while doing herb runs on his alt and already had it on that alt and his main (this was back in wrath).
So all I had to do was login and fly over there and get invited and kill it, easiest mount ever.
We even had 3 more of those in our guild in wrath, not counting alts, got some screen caps of it somewhere.
can anyone help me i know this is an old vid but im just now getting into this game and i have the starter edition i was wondering if i could get a flying mount as a druid i cant use the heartsteed mount for some reason it says "not a valid place" or something
4:03 so, I played hearthstone before and got this pop up, but at the time didn't play WoW, now I do and I was wandering if there was someway I could still redeem it or if I had to start a new account or something

Cloud Serpents are ridiculously easy to get now. Nobody is camping the obsidian eggs really, and the commendations at revered make it... stupid fast if you have them. Plus if you have some timeless isle bind on account red eggs laying around you can go even faster. You can get it done in a day or two if you really wanted. I did it in three. And if your character's a jewlcrafter, you can get the recipes for the gem cats while you're there.
