Congratulations!!! I can’t wait to hear updates how much this machine has helped with your monthly release time and planning. So happy for you and your shop.
Wow congratulations on the upgrade Sara. I’m so happy for you. It’s been amazing to see your shop grow. You are very motivated, creative, and talented. I am so excited for you.
I’m so excited for you! Thank your for your transparency with this! Love it.
Wow!! That was awesome...I know you have been waiting to get this!! Thanks for sharing and can't wait to see more!!
Wow! That’s an amazing machine! Thanks for sharing 😊
That is awesome! I am so excited for you!
Never heard of this machine, but HOW AWESOME for your business!!! Happy for you!!!
WOW! Looks amazing! So exciting! Yay!! 🎉 🎊 🎈
Congrats! That machine is so cool. Looking forward to updates on how it is working and how you like it 😊
Awesome video! I saw another shop have this and love all the extra info. Can’t wait to see it more in your videos.
Congratulations! I love the sneak peek too!
Thanks for sharing all of this! I’ve been drooling over this machine since seeing it in another shop owner’s videos, but the lack of information I could find on it was extremely intimidating. I can’t wait to see how you end up liking it the more you use!
wowzers! what a game changer for you and your business.
always scary to make those bigger purchases but seems like the ROI will be within this year.
Congrats! Another great video…thanks for sharing.
Definitely scary to invest so much into the business. I did a TON of research before purchasing and spoke to many other shop owners who also use the machine to make sure it would work for us. The time savings that comes along with the machine makes it 100% worth the large price tag. It used to take me 4 full days to cut the sampler sheets for the monthly release and now the machine can do them while I'm designing / filling orders! That's huge for us!
Congrats on the new machine. Also loving the June kit!,
I am excited for you. I love watching your post.
Awesome! I cannot wait to see updates :)
Congratulations 🎉Keep shining and inspiring ❤️
Thank you for sharing so much!
Hi! Love your videos. I run a Graphtec FC9000 and it is awesome! Great to see you growing. I feel your struggle with moving to a Windows pc for the software. I design on a Mac. I had a Windows pc for my Roland Printer, but found that Parallels on my second Mac was adequate enough to run Versaworks and I can run my cutting software from Illustrator on my Mac. I looked it up and it is the Auto-Feed part that forces you to use a Windows pc. Good luck and looking forward to watching the productivity increase!
Hey! Thanks! Yes, I did see that some other machines allow you to use Apple products. Unfortunately this setup doesn’t! But I am aware that there are work arounds.
I have never clicked so fast 😅 I'm so happy for you 💗
Thank you!! It's been a HUGE learning curve but it's already saved us a ton of time!
Hi Sara. I was watching this video and haven't finished at this point lol, but I did some research ( I am in similar situation where I use Mac and also have Silhouette) and I found software called Sure Cuts a Lot that works on Mac and works with Graphtec cutters. I am not sure at this point how you create your stickers but you can design in other software (not Illustrator) like silhouette studio and import into Sure Cuts a lot to cut them out. I haven't used any of this but I did some googling and people are using this workflow. I sure hope this helps you out not having to which to Windows and have to learn a whole other software.
Congrats! Also, a side note for anyone wondering. The Silhouette Cameo 4 can cut stickers without a cutting mat. It can be a little temperamental, and as you've mentioned, Silhouette machines are very inconsistent. But it is an option.
Thank you for sharing your videos
I really hope this helps you with some of the more routine cuttings you do. Good video.
I hope this machine is a good solution for your business. From what you said at the beginning of the video, there are a lot of caveats to it. Looking forward to your next update on it!
It's been working out great for us! I wouldn't say the things I mentioned are things that deterred me from purchasing, just stuff to keep in mind!
That machine is huge 😱 i hope it helps your sticker shop a lot so that you and your brother can do other things than just cutting stickers, i think that the machine would make a huge difference on that part 😏 more variation in the day too 🤗❤️
It is! It's amazing what it can do! We're definitely looking forward to adding more items to the shop and focusing more time on designing and getting orders out more quickly!
What mats are the ones you like for the silhouette? Also, thank you for sharing this since I know a lot of people don’t like to share. I appreciate how kind you are.
Hi Sara! Longtime viewer/purchaser, first time commenter. FYI you might not need to buy/use a PC. There is an emulator program you can get on your Mac and you could switch back and forth between Mac/windows programming. Maybe look into that? Just a tip! Congratulations on the new machine!
Great point! That's definitely an option! I'm currently using my brother's old laptop so I luckily didn't have to purchase one but it definitely makes file sharing a little less seamless. Thanks for all the support :)
nice choice, i would look at maybe running corelDraw, I find its easier to use then Adobe Illustrator, the biggest upgrade here is the moto in the Graphtec, it is a Servo Motor, the motors in the Cameos are a stepper motor, louder and slower, much better cuts with the servo motor
I did see corelDraw as an option but I have absolutely no experience with that software. So far Adobe Illustrator is working well, it's just going to take time to really master it. Thanks for sharing!
No mat and manually prepping it 🙌🏼
Thanks for sharing! I was curious about it. My shop is small so not something I would need. But how nice will it be for you that you could just put 200 sheets in there and just let it do it's thing! So much time will be freed up. I hope it works well for you and the investment is totally worth it! :)
Congrats on the new equipment! 2 years ago lol I'm just seeing this now. I did have a few questions: is that the max printable size, within those registration marks, on a letter size sheet? Wondering how much waste. Are you printing on vinyl or just paper stickers? My sheets are vinyl and curl. So not sure this coukd actually pick them up and have it fall straight and flat enough. I'm doing die or contour cut vinyl. Right now using a bother scan n cut. Most time consuming part is taping down my sheets so they don't curl.
Wow that looks fun, congratulations!! The purpose of this machine is to cut down time when cutting but I would probably still be spending the time just fascinated looking at the machine go so I would not be profitable for your business 😂😂😂
Haha 😂 I have definitely spent some time in aw of what this machine can do!
Please share more videos on this machine. I was thinking of getting an Intec machine, but there are hardly any videos of that one as well
Glad it was helpful! I share a new day / week in the life every Monday and I plan to give updates during those! Make sure to check them out 🙂
Congratulations! This is so exciting. Do you have a neighbor on the wall where the machine is set-up? If so, I wonder if the noise is impacting their office? A couple pieces of rigid insulation may deaden the sound. Also, the June kit looks nice!
Thanks! It's been so exciting and nerve wrecking figuring it out! Our neighbor isn't in during the day. He works during the night so no worries there!
It's interesting how different the support is since Silhouette is actually Graphtec. It's one of the reasons you can use (with a tiny bit of modification) the same blades, unless you want to use the autoblade.
I have heard that Silhouette is owned by Graphtec or that there is some relationship there. It makes sense though why the support is different because the purchasing experience is extremely different as well. The silhouettes can be purchased easily at any craft store whereas the Graphtec machines have to be purchased from a few speciality companies. The setup and operation of the silhouettes are also a lot simpler so it’s probably easier to offer support for those!
@@SaraMarie That's true. You would think there would be even better support because the CE7000 is more of a commercial machine.
Do you use the imark software to cut from? I'm having a heck of a time getting the dash line to cut right starting to wonder if I have to use this program.
So interesting seeing other set ups - does it only do one file at once (multiple times) or can you queue it and leave it to do say, 10 of one file, 5 of another, etc?
From what I’ve seen, it only does one file at a time. You have to open each file and adjust the settings for that job. You can stack up to 200 sheets and it’ll cut until there are no more left. I occasionally check on it just to make sure everything is cutting okay.
I wanted to see how well it kiss cut the stickers. I wish you had shown that. I am so happy that cutting will be faster for you.
That’s definitely a good idea for a future video! I’ll keep it in mind when filming my day in the life videos 🙂
@@SaraMarie Thanks. I got so excited because I thought you were going to lift one of the stickers. Then I realized you were not going to do it. lol Can't wait for the next video.
I just bought a Roland sg3-300 printer cutter combo for my stickers/ decals. That thing is a beast. However, I was thinking about this machine so I could offer traditional, square and specialty shaped business cards/ flyers to my customers. Would you recommend it for that?
Thank you so, so much for sharing so much info! Oh my gosh, I was literally squirming in my seat watching how it works 😂 It looks like you were just using the same sticker paper you use on your Silhouettes, is that right?
I know it’s so cool! I still can’t get over how it works! Yes, my sticker paper hasn’t changed! But the machine can use much larger paper if I wanted to!
@@SaraMarie Doesn't the die cut process require a cutting mat? I have been using my graphtec ce6000 cutter with a cutting mat for the longest while. Great video by the way.
Seems worth it if a person has a busy sticker shop. What do these 2 cost? Like $5000US?
Reality awesome pice of Kit. Do you know if this is also compatibe with longer graphtec CE7000 cutters?
The F Mark 2 can not be purchased separately from the CE-7000 (40). I don't think it's compatible with other machines but I would contact with a company that sells them to be sure.
@@SaraMarie thanks a lot for the quick response 😊
So cool. I'm confused - What's the the difference between the F Mark 2 and the CE 7000?
The F Mark 2 is what picks up the paper and feeds it into the CE 7000. The CE 7000 cuts the stickers.
do you have to readjust settings with every file? Or does it save settings with the file? Wondering if you have to do a test cut with every cutting run. thanks!
Yes! With each sticker sheet I cut I have to do a few test cuts to get the settings correct. This machine is extremely helpful but ideally meant for larger (quantity) jobs!
Nice! Do you think you could set it up when you leave and have it cut overnight? Just wondering... :)
You could! Personally I wouldn’t though. I like to check every once in a while to make sure the cuts look good and there have been a couple times when the machine failed to pick up a sheet and stops.
What types of materials can you use in the machine; i.e. card stock, vinyl, etc?
I'm only using it for matte sticker paper but I believe you can use it for vinyl and cardstock as well. I would check the website and the manuals to double check though!
I have a question, What are the applications of this machine? What kind of paper have you die cut?
Hi Sara! I have this machine and I was wondering how did you make your registration marks? I am hopeful that if I can figure this part out maybe the next steps will be easier? Thanks in advance for any help you can give 😊
Hey! I believe the setup packet outlines how to create the registration marks. I read both the info packets like 3 times to figure out the machine. I’d definitely recommend checking it out if you haven’t already!
How big is the full setup?....seems rather large when put together. Sucks that you can't use the Macs...I know you can buy software that will run windows so that could be an option.
It is very large. If you follow the link in my description box, it'll bring you to the listing which has a photo of the setup as well as the full dimensions of the set-up. I purchased a dining room table from IKEA for the machine because most desks wouldn't work. Hope that helps!
Does it work with silhouette design studio?
It does not. You will need to create cut files in Adobe Illustrator. I touched on this a little bit in the beginning part of the video.
Could pick up a stack of 100+ to cut at one time?
You can stack up to 200 sheets in the F Mark 2 and it'll continue to cut each one individually until they're all cut!
Will you be selling your old cutting machines
Nope! We’ll still use them until the files are created for all our stickers and after that, we’ll keep them as backups!
@@SaraMarie yes good idea !!!
