I have one Silhouette Cameo 3 machine and it worked on Bluetooth for about a month and randomly stopped. Really annoying - I feel your pain! When I researched my issue, it is a common problem with this home cutter. Hardwire is the way to go. I wish you so much success with your shop. Sara, congrats on your transition!! I totally GET it. I am a tax accountant and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my career however I'm slowly transitioning into other side roles with the eventual hope of leaving. I have mine connected via USB. Connection is better and the transfer of data is faster. I have 4 machines and I don't have a full time shop so I needed all of them to work consistently. If you need the USB connector I purchased let me know. It have 7 slots!

I loved that you had Mila with you while you were working, that is the real-life of having your own business in your home with children. BTW, she's adorable!! Her expressions made me miss my grandchildren, they're on the east coast and I'm in Alaska =( Anyway, I do love your shop and your channel. I probably order more often from you than any other shop. I understand what you said about RUclips, Instagram is the same way - too much drama going on. I've had to step back from most social media several times in the last few weeks. I'm glad that the drama isn't on your channel or sm accounts.

My Silhouette don’t need additional lights. I have issues with Bluetooth, so I keep mine wired. But I haven’t tried them Bluetooth in a while, I think it may be my MacBook.

It definitely took time for me to get there! I actually had a friend help me last summer and basically she cut stuff for the next release while I cut current orders. It took a lot of work but it’s definitely worth it!

I was curious about your thoughts on the EC controversy. I can understand if you don't want to share them at this point. I know there are a lot of people on the fence. I think your channel was one of the first I started watching and I always look forward to your videos! I think it's great that you have this opportunity for your family! :)

I want to sew as a job with an etsy and maybe you tube. But I'm scared I won't make enough money. Do you make as much as you did with your job?
Definitely build it up and start with it as a side hustle. Many advisors say to wait until your side business makes at least 3/4 of what your current income is before you make it your full time job! When I quit, my business was bringing in more than my salary. But keep in mind, I have been doing RUclips for 3.5 years and my Etsy shop for a year and a half before it got to that point!!

I liked having breakfast with you this morning! Friday nights are often hectic, so this was a pleasant change. I cannot believe how much Mila has changed since the last time I saw her. Her hair is so long! My tracking info says your package reached the USPS center in my hometown last night. I hope that means it will be in my mailbox today. ❤️

They are from EC but I don’t think they sell them any more!

Have you noticed issues with Silhouette Studios and your Mac OS? I've noticed mine will just crash and refuse to open. Wondering if its just me or if you've found a way to work around it
Omg!!! I thought it was just me!!!! It’s like I click on it and it won’t open and there are two big “S”’s on there seems kinda like two silhouette programs. Try going to the folder to install the program well up date it or go to the website to the update and it started working again for me. I notice when there isn’t a small gray like box named silhouette... can’t remember what else it says but it’s on the desktop it doesn’t work 😩but when I update software again and it’s there it works!! 😃
A lot started when I updated to IOS Catalina on my Mac! 💻
I’m in the process of becoming a shop, I have a question if you don’t mind. Being ready to ship, how much of each sheet/kit do you keep on hand at any given time?
It all depends on how many you expect to sell in a month, so Sara would need a lot more than someone who is just starting out.
I try to base my numbers off of previous months. I do restocks everyday so I usually start with a quantity that I know I’ll sell and then add more as I need to.
In the past I’ve had a ton in stock and then found certain things didn’t sell and there’s not much you can do with them.

How do you calculate the weight for each package before packing ? I see that you print the shipping labels first , then pack your orders . I have always wonder how people pre print labels then pack their orders. For me that’s the hard time (I also opened a sticker shop!) I love to watch your videos by the way !! ❤️❤️❤️
Honestly I’ve weighted packages in the past and have a rough idea based on how many stickers someone purchased. Over time I got pretty good at guessing lol

No! I have never taken out loans for my business. Everything is paid in cash.
Will you still be promoting EC since you are full time self employed and quit accounting?
Honestly, I don’t know what my next steps are. Luckily the majority of my stickers can be used in any 7x9 or 8.5x11 planner so I’m not dependent on any brand.
Sara Marie That’s good too know...I understand people are upset but it’s like we all make mistakes and I think some people are just a little too sensitive about certain situations...I need to get some stickers.

helped me a lot, I have a question I am trying to open my store on etsy and I have a big question: etsy charges you $ 0.20 every 4 months for each publication or for each item in each publication? Let's say I sell 1 card and put 10 units in stock, will they charge me for the 10 units?
I think they will charge you for 10 units cause it’s .20 cents a listing and each one is considered a listing. I think. But it should tell you the costs when you list them🙂
It's per item unless you sell multiple items as one listing item. But it only charges you when someone buys one so itll be 20 cents the first time and then each time it renews.
