So happy to see you get the graphtec. I’ve seen a few sticker shop owners acquire one or two this past year and all say that it’s life changing. Having a work life balance is a must and it’s #goals. Thank you for letting us see your set up! I know some shop owners don’t go into detail, but as a consumer, I love to see the person behind the shop name and how they work to accomplish things.
Forgot to add, I still have 2 silhouettes that I use for certain things. Sometimes it’s just easier/faster for random projects. And I’m a paranoid maniac who needs a backup plan if a day comes when I DO have an issue with the graphtec 🥴
Thank you, I'm so pleased to hear yours is working so well! I can defo see that being the case with the Sils! I also need a back up plan, I don't know if I'll ever be brave enough to part with them entirely 🤣
So happy it’s working for you! 💜 And you saying it’s life changing means a lot! Hope it continues saving you work time and you can spend it doing smth else ❤
Thank you so much for sharing this info! I’ve been looking into getting one of these for a little while now and it’s great to see how you’re already finding it so useful. I look forward to watching your journey with it and hopefully learning a few tips and tricks before I purchase mine 😊
Loved the cutting pun 😂 Also, Sticker Guru use this device. They just made a reel about it so I was hoping this was the one you got. Cannot wait for more techny/nerdy videos about the Graphtec! 😊❤
This is so informative and interesting! I'm happy for you that you'll get some free time back now. High demand is great but you want to have a life too ☺️ I'm making stickers and only sell occasionally, it's more like a hobby for me (so I'm using a Silhouette). But I'm very interested in the machinery & techniques, thank you for sharing! ❤️
enjoyed this :) also enjoy the creepy Taylor mask in the background at around 17 minute mark! Can't wait to come and see the Graphtec and watch it work 🤣
Also, it may be possible to get a standalone barcode machine that will be compatible. This was how it was in the old days have,Tom look into the tech possibilities
Anna, thank you so much for sharing. I know that this video is a little older now, and I have watched your more recent videos about your newer graphtec as well. I’m curious as to why sticker shops will get both the F mark and the CE 7000. I see that they use the CE7000 just for Scripts, but the F mark for everything else. I haven’t heard a good explanation as to why one would do that. Can you help me to better understand? I’m looking into both machines and obviously one is a larger investment, so I’m not sure if I should get that one if it has the capability to do both kiss and perf cuts on general planner stickers as well as Scripts. I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!!!
Hi Alison! Of course - I'll try to be concise but please feel free to pop me a message over on IG or via email if there's anything else! I'm not sure which shops you're referring to who use the standalone CE7000 for scripts, so I can only speak from my experience. I did briefly consider doing this due to the fact the CE7000 has a barcode reader, meaning you can store the cut files on a USB stick connected to the cutter so you don't have to select them each time, which could be advantageous if you're cutting a bunch of different designs. In practice, I don't know how well the barcode stuff works so there may well be additional steps that make this less appealing. The other reason could be that you can use the standalone cutter with a cutting mat, which possibly allow for more accurate cuts. I'm not sure if you've seen my videos on the original Graphtec I had, but it was the 24" one and I had issues with the media buckling under the rollers which caused my cuts to become less accurate the bigger my cut job was, and the more intricate it was. I was informed that using a mat would stop this, but I was trying to get away from cutting mats as a consumable! I find that my F Mark cuts scripts well, but I can't completely fill the sheet with stickers and expect the same level of accuracy. I cut two "quarter sheets" in the centre of my A4 page instead of fitting 4 quarter sheets on an A4 page like I did on my Silhouettes (and presumably would work for the CE7000 too). I'm happy with this trade off as the automation of the feeding arm is more valuable for me. When I was operating 7-8 Silhouettes at once, I constantly had a sore back and couldn't really do anything else with my time while I was cutting, so I would lose at least a day a week to operating the cutters. The F Mark is pretty hands-off, but is going to be the most valuable if you're cutting multiple sheets of the same design as you do one test cut and then leave it to finish the rest of the sheets on it's own. I'm trying to think of things I do for scripts on the F Mark because I did initially struggle with cutting them as accurately as I wanted, aside from dropping down to 2 quarter sheets per page. I only use 10 speed for scripts and make sure my blade is sharp and free of debris to avoid it catching when dragged across the sheet. I can't see any reason why you wouldn't use the F Mark for scripts though! Even for one off sheets (like my custom script orders) I don't tend to run into alignment issues or anything between designs and I can just keep plowing through, changing the file each time. Having had both the F Mark and the standalone CE7000, I can say I wish I'd got the F Mark in the beginning and not bothered with the CE7000. I think if I were making vinyl projects etc it might be different, but for planner stickers I'd 100% recommend the F Mark.
Did you run the énumbers on how long it will take to pay for itself ?. I'd be curious to know - I don't have the capacity for efficiently using a graphtec currently. Maybe one day. Till then I'll use my vintage industrial cutter plotter!
We had an estimate - we weren't fully sure if we would use the Graphtec for every kind of sticker before getting it so it was a bit of a guess, but now we're confident it will pay for itself really fast! I think it's good to consider capacity, since it is great for bulk cutting of the same design but not so much one off jobs.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this machine as it is a big investment. Its really helpful! I would love to know how it goes when you are able to set it up to cut deco sheets for i personally use my silhouette for smaller cuts lately especially for character sticker sheets. Glad this has allowed you to have a better life & work balance. We all want that too
Of course!! I'm considering putting deco/doodles on a separate page and taking them out of the kit, as they are definitely the most fussy stickers - though not impossible on the F Mark! I'll speak about it a bit more in the next vlog, but taking deco out of kits would also help me have a standard cut template across all designs, so I think I will go that direction!
You should check out Sara Marie here on RUclips. She bought the exact machine (I think she has 2 now) and she vlogs about it briefly on her channel. She might also be able to help, if you have any questions. This is cool. I would buy some cheapy sticker paper and try cutting stuff out, you won’t waste your good paper and then you could test out the power of your machine.

Thank you!! It's such a great machine, I'm really pleased I bit the bullet and finally bought one. I'm so glad you love the behind the scenes!!
Yay!! Congrats on the new machine 😁 mine’s over a year and a half old and it’s still going strong with no major issues!

I think we might do that eventually!

Hi Anna, Questions: 1. What did you do with your other Graphtec cutter? 2. How often do you use your laminator?
I sold the other cutter, and I use the laminator every few months!
@@Plannerface Thank you Anna. x

You’re so beautiful:)
