Here’s a 27-minute workout designed to help beginners improve their shoulder flexibility and mobility. It’s especially great for guys who are more inflexible, because we start with stretches and modified poses to help you open up your shoulder, and then move on to yoga postures (still with modifications for inflexible people) to build flexibility and strength in your shoulders & upper-back. It allows you to initially increase your flexibility before getting into yoga postures, which makes it way easier if you’re not that flexible yet. You’ll need a yoga block, strap, and a wall for this workout. (If you don’t have those, you can use similar equipment for the same result.)

Well impressed with this video I've been doing it for months now on the regular. It's my gateway into yoga, I'm a plasterer and used ti love lifting weights and going gym but my shoulder just can't do it anymore. These manflow yoga exercises do it all for me 👍

The best shoulder mobility workout/ routine that can easily be adapted to your current level of flexibility. I have had shoulder surgery several years ago and I spend most of the day sitting behind a desk. I can highly recommend this mobility/ flexibility routine after many years of trying others 👌👌

My wife had been on to me to do yoga since her experience has been significant improvement in flexibility and pain release. I'm 57 yr old and your videos have really improved my stability (I spend hours trout fishing on mountain rocks) and reduced back pain (your decompression videos are great)... and now this shoulder routine is giving me more range of motion in my left shoulder (old lifting issue). I feel 10 yr younger!

I can't really get my shoulders back where they need to be when I do barbell squats. Do you have any recommendations for stretching I can do for better flexibility for that exercise. Anyone thank you
Hey Dean, thanks for the great content. Newby here at 58yo. Not surprisingly since I had full-tear rotator cuff surgery more than a year ago, the “back against the wall” stretch was very uneven. So the question: do I only go with my L as far as my R can go to keep it even, or go as far with each side and thus lopsided? Thanks for whatever you can offer. Cheers.

A couple months ago I started learning barbell lifts. I have trouble doing a low bar squat with a regular bar because I just can not get my shoulders/arms back where they need to be to do it. Do you know what I mean? I've been squatting with the safety bar, but I still want to be able to do this. Would this workout help or are there other exercises you'd recommend?
This will help. You need to work on improving shoulder flexibility and strength.
Warrior 1, palms out, I feel it in my triceps and cannot seem to make a move where I feel it in my shoulder, where am I going wrong

If you can do physical activity without dislocating it, then you should be fine. Take it slow and listen to your body. And consult your doctor first!

Ultimately you could do it as often as you feel necessary but 3X a week is a good rule of thumb.
