I appreciate the honest take. Many reviewers and viewers come in having already made up their minds but it seems like you kept an open mind and weren't afraid to speak your disappointments. I hope some of these issues get shored up in some updates! I just went from the galaxy watch 5 to the 7 and it is a pretty tiny jump but I'm already in the Samsung ecosystem so it made sense, only cost 40 with trade in.
Got the same Watch 7 44mm .. I find it is useful if you take a general look at the data to get a general idea of your health and habits. But if you look at it from a micro level, it may seem disappointing. I’ve learned to take the Galaxy features on watch7 with a grain of salt.
Samsung went after Garmin, thinking they can offer the same set of features and...they failed! It took Garmin years of development and refinement of functions, like body battery or sleep tracking. If Samsung wants to compete in this area, they will need to put waaay more work and money into that!
full charge 8.00 am. completly off 22.00 pm !!!! how come did you use it with all the measures you told, and the battery not fail? For me only one day (24h) is enought but battery charge driained before that time...??? i´m completly disappointed...
Nice Job Ryan 👍 Thank You. I'll watch for your nice, reliable reviews, giving what I felt was a deep enough, analytical, critical, exposing issues approach and NOT a fan-boy promotional! I know Samsung watches always struggled to "Really Deliver" good performance on functions you deftly noted. As MUCH as IWANT the Watch7, Sleep is #1 performance health metric for me and My Fitbit is VERY, VERY accurate and is still best for my money (already spent $)
I always charge my Galaxy Watch 7 overnight so using the Energy Score (Body Battery), function is impossible for me, even though I would like to try it. I wonder why Samsung never thought of this when they designed that feature.
Thank you Ryan, for your non biased (non payed) information, that was exactly the infoormation I was looking for. That is why I skip on the Samsung watch. May I ask, what you recommend for managing your daily energy level? Whoop, Garmin body battery or a fitness ring? Thanks.
I still have to get new software update on my watch 7. Seriously its really frustrating that I'm getting 15-16 hours only of full charge. I noticed i slept at 11:30pm having battery left 41% . When I woke up at 6am it was already dead. What's wrong is happening with other users? While other users are getting more than 2days battery backup. Samsung ruined and messed their quality control system.
Watch 7 44mm is trash. i also have the watch 6 classic and watch 5 pro . Watch 7 sleep an nap tracking is useless. Battery is very poor . So if you have the watch 5 pro or 6 classic you can easily skip the watch 7.
I bought this watch 7 44 mm Bluetooth, Now i am facing charging issue, It takes 2 hr 15 mins for 10-100% . I put it by using both 25 w samsung Pd charger & 45 w samsung 20k Power Bank. Both the results same. Too long charging time. Could you please test the charging time by using stopwatch.
I picked up the exact model you have a few days ago. I drive a truck for a living. I can literally sit in my truck for hours while I'm getting unloaded, and watch my step count go up by hundreds of steps per hour. It's ridiculous.
I didn't know there was going to be an update they hadn't announced it yet and I already returned my watch and got a new one and it's so much better and this was before the update.

This watch, as it's previous, is not accurate. At all. Not with sleeping tracking, GPS, and heart tracking. I follow the Qauntified Scientist, and according to his latest video, it's unfortunate.

The first 3 days the battry is terrible as the watch is learning your usage behaviour
How was it 40 with a trade I have the 5 the trade is 75 and the watch is 330
audio sync with video seems a bit off
Yes but for like one or two minutes only, the rest looks good. Still high quality video.
My sleep scores have been spot on. I wake up in-between and it tracks that perfectly
That's awesome!

I get 40 hrs with AOD and readings are quite accurate.
Have Honor Magic Watch 2, think this one would be a nice upgrade. Nice, honest review, thanks!
Just commenting to say I watched this video, liked it, and decided to stick to my Watch 4. Thank you, Ryan!

I'm still using the Watch 4. I know it won't get the latest updates, but it works fine for now. How much have the features changed since then?
Im finally upgrading from the galaxy smart watch active 2 to the 7 (44mm) . I can't wait!

Great review

Im having an issue with the energy score, it dosent record my energy score even when i wear it the whole night, it will do it once then stop
Currently I'm using galaxy watch 6 classic..is it worth it to upgrade to watch 7?
If I were you and my watch 6 was working just fine, I'd keep it and wait for the watch 8 and then decide.
Thanks for this.@@RyansTechMedia
I'd worry only on the HRV reading... Would you still chose that watch over Garmin Venu 3? I tend to get back to Garmin every time...
Me too! Garmin still wins in that aspect.

Great video Sir!
Any updates/ explanation of HRV reading?
Yeah, the sleep feature on my watch 4 does the same thing. If it senses that I'm not moving, it'll start tracking my sleep.
How could you advise people to look into buying a watch that you were skeptical about. Too many contradictions for me!!!

Mine 44mm lte variant charges under 1hr 20 mins , get it checked with samsung
Did it change after the update?
Thanks for your support. I handover to the Samsung service centre. @@hruthikbannur123
Mine 44mm takes 1 hour 20 minutes
Its too much slow compared to 6 classic.

Had you asked me before, I would've recommended this watch instead (solar or non-solar): amzn.to/3AqlkK0
I think it's perfect for your job.
Is anyone having battery draining issues
They fixed the battery drain with the new update we received this morning. After 6 hours I am still at 96%
I didn't know there was going to be an update they hadn't announced it yet and I already returned my watch and got a new one and it's so much better and this was before the update.
Maybe one of these days Samsung will get accuracy right. Until then, I'll save my money.
What power adapter do you use to charge the watch?
25 W samsung adaptor & 45 w 20k samsung powerbank. Both are giving same charging time
@@poorna75Doesn't charging the watch with a 25w adapter degrade the battery faster? Thank you

Battery life?
2.5 days
