Just bought my first smart watch (Galaxy Watch 7) 2 days ago. Your video was great for a new user like me, thank you! I have a question I hope you can answer. I've created several custom photo watch faces. When you create a photo face, it automatically keeps the name from the "template" photo face, which is named Photos. Since I made several, I now have several custom faces all named Photos. I can't find where (or if) I can rename each of these to a more meaningful name.
When I was using this watch face my watch was showing ghost step and it was also counting when I was sitting in the car ,so I changed it with a simple one and it worked out well , please share if you have the same issue or any solution for this
Can you message or call from the watch to your own phone? Example: If I give the watch to my kid and i have the phone at home, can we contact one another?
I believe sleep detection only works when connected to a Samsung phone that in at least four other features. only work if your phone is made by Samsung. That's an important thing to mention, don't you think?
You can schedule sleep mode now on the watch and don't have to sync it with the phone, in fact I didn't have that option at all (don't use a samsung is maybe why?)
Yes, the OnePlus Watch 2.0 has the ability to rotate the buttons, I am glad the Galaxy Watch7 does that too. Did Samsung add a lap button for workouts?

@@19JustMike83 My experience so far is that it will barely do two days if you turn off the AOD but leave the sleep tracking with all options on (sleep, temperature, apnea, oxygen, temperature). With AOD on, it is about 1.5 days. It might still improve with subsequent updates though. Looking at the battery usage, 16% is Samsung Health, which is expected, but 10% is Google Assistant, don't know why since I used it like once today.
The only complaint I have so far is you can't add a battery level indicator to the watch face you show in your video. That watch face is my favorite but battery level is not available for any of the complications in that watch face.
i am using my watch with oneplus 10 pro, it's great but the only thing i wish i had is the ability to answer Whatsapp calls on the watch, this feature is unfortunately samsung exclusive
Beware! Went from 5 Pro to new 7 watch and now l'm completely unable to turn off health app related notifications. The options that used to be available to adjust are now completely missing so I'm forced to be distracted with annoying alerts such as Daily Activities Set etc. I can't turn DND on as I' miss the alerts I actually want. How are we going backwards Samsung!?
The 5 Pro and 7 Ultra def have the longer battery life. My reg 7 needs charging every 1.5 ish days of moderate use instead of 2 to 3 days my 5 Pro would last

Majority of the features mentioned in the video is already available in galaxy watch 4 which is cost around $120 Nothing is new in watch 7 for the people who is already having previous generation watch
Interesting video. The sad part about all those features, most of elderly people are not able to go through the complex menu details. They are too far hidden and too complecated.

So realistically none of these features matters and doesn't justify the cost. Smartwatches need more years to evolve to even be considered as a useful device.
If you're a developer, you can go a lot further. It's android based and easy to write software for it. I wrote a new chatgpt for mine with hands free communication and can control my house lights locks etc and car door locks and even find my car by asking it to beep the horn (double lock*)
What I do NOT like about this watch is I have to charge it alot. It only holds 40 hours where the ULTRA will stay charged for about 100 hours. I am finding with this watch I have to put it on the charger constantly. I lose at 30% of the phone charge every night. Fitbit and my Galaxy 3 held better charges than Galaxy 7. Extremely disappointed in this phone for charging
You're a genius except that you're too fast. I've struggled to keep up even while pausing video. This is my first digital watch and you've thought me things that employees of the phone shop that sold this watch to me do not know.. My main concern was to stop those annoying health notifications & dozens have helped me but to no avail. I'm happy to view your video. Thank you so much for sharing your expert knowledge. To get most features out of it, you need to use a Galaxy phone. Otherwise it's possible to connect it to another Android device.

Dark hair might a bit. But even trimming it a little under the sensor could make a difference.

I have the watch 6 lte version but battery last for only less than 2 day. So same battery issue is in watch 7 or its difference..?
It's not an issue, their suposed to last about that
It can do over two days if you turn all the tracking and AOD off. With sleep tracking and around 2 hours walk tracking I could make barely two days.
Since they Switch to wear OS battery life is only supposed to last around 2 days. Unless you go with the pro or the ultra version
