Hi Mike, there is also a little icon at the bottom of the screen on the watch when you are downloading - like over wifi :D so you can click on it and see how far your download has gone.
I knew some of these and use them regularly, but not all so this video was super helpful. I have a Watch 4 Classic which now will be even better than before thanks to all these hidden features.
They need to fix Samsung wallet. Having to unlock your watch just to look at it is ridiculous. You should only have to unlock the app when you want to pay
7:44 Thats exactly how a body composition measure is supposed to work. Your body composition changes over the course of the day slightly, when you eat, when you poop, etc. I'd take it with more of a grain of salt if it gave me a consistent reading 100% of the time all day. The feature was tested against a dexa scan and was found to be within 2% accuracy. It costs as much to get one of those scans as a Galaxy Watch 6 in some cases. Im really surprised more manufacturers haven't added such a killer feature to their wearables since it debuted on the Watch 4 line 2 years ago. It takes fitness tracking to another level. Great video!
As a sports scientist and from my own personal testing, I find it to have a reliable reading but far from accurate. It consistently spits out my reading at about 20-22% body fat which I say is reliable as I'm never gaining or losing muscle/fat mass but about 10% out which is a huge difference! I have used it in conjunction with the equipment available to me (skin calipers, body comp machines etc.) and those will come out at 10-12% at all times which have been approved by health officials. In my opinion, that concludes it is incredibly inaccurate and can be the difference between a slightly high body fat and telling someone they're morbidly obese
From everything I've read dexa is also pretty awful at measuring bodyfat in fact the only reliable way to measure body fat is by taking a part a dead body and measuring limb by limb any other way is really just a huge guesstimation based on unrealiable proxies.
Would of been helpful if you could completely explain how to set up google assistant on the watch. It does not show the option for that in advanced features..
I have the 47 classic LTE & I'm really liking it so far. A big upgrade from my Gear S3. Is there a video out there that shows the full process of swapping out Bixby for Google assist?
Open the app drawer on your Watch Open the Settings app Scroll down to find and tap the Advanced Features option Select Customize Buttons Here, select your preferred assistant under Press and hold
You're just ignorant. Bixby is a very powerful essential assistant than Google assistant esp for Samsung users because of the routines. Do your research.
True story: I somehow got locked outside my home as my roommate had just left for work. My keys, phone, even shoes were inside and it was late at night. That's when I realized that my watch acted as a phone. So I was able to call my roommate to turn around and let me in. The watch saved my ass.
very nice. However, the update that i have on my watch 6 organize the screens completely differently from what you show, end it's very hard (but not impossible) to find the appropriate topics. it would be nice that you provide an alternative video with the actual organization, and show all the icons that you pressed to get to a place. thanks for the sharing.

Hi Mike is there a chance that you could make a video on features that you won't be able to use on the Galaxy watch 5 or 6 if you don't have a Samsung phone, because I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro and i don't want to get the watch for a feature i like and then not be able to use it.
Yes there is but I like the bigger screen and the design of the Samsung Galaxy watch so I would just like to see what features I wouldn't have if I got the watch@@foreshadow9022

Good job. Question? On my old watch 4 & 5 I could cover the screen to turn off display or alarm, looks like I can't do that on 6. Do you know anything about this. Thanks
I'm sure this is a software issue and not a hardware issue but on my 6 Classic NFC payments are pretty much locked to Samsung Pay. It's not possible to hold the back button and set it to Google Pay instead of Samsung Pay. It's the same for the Fold5 and swiping up on the lock screen can only pull up Samsung Pay and you can't set it to Google Pay. I used to love Samsung's willingness to work with other companies and I'm not sure why they are now a fairly exclusive ecosystem. I don't regret buying the 6 Classic and the Fodl5 but I can't say Samsung is much different than Apple at this point, just a name and logo difference.
Samsung Pay on watch hasn't been able to connect my cards, it's very frustrating. The fact that we are not able to customize that back button to launch GPay also pissed me off, I had to change double press button to use GPay instead....
@riverjustice for sure. Samsung pay(galaxy phones) was the first to do this by just placing near the magentic strip swipe line on any old card reader with no need for the little wireless connection thing that was added to pay terminals to help apple use the feature. I used to freak out cashiers when they say we don't accept apple pay, and I'd hold my phone near the swipe area and boom! Cashier: 😯 what phone is that? Me: it's galaxy and Samsung pay 🚬😎
