Hi Evgeny, breathing gets easier as ones butterfly stroke improves (plus fitness). I think every 2nd stroke is good and is achievable. Its even better to breath every 3 but is harder and required better technique and fitness / strength.
Thanks for the video instruction! Many great tips that I ought to write down and seal for poolside use! I'm transitioning from breathing on every stroke to breathing every 2nd. I may like every 2nd when I find it keeps me going forward and when I can inhale more air when taking the breath!
Hello Evgeny thanks for the great video l m training to breath every other stroke it's not easy need a lot of energy and flexibility I would like to ask about breathing in back stroke especially at the start please make a detailed series about the back stroke Thank you
Hi Evgeny and Alexander - thank you for another great video. Yes the dryland exercises are really good and I have improved lots especially in my arm recovery since doing them . I need to add the rocking exercises - i will try but found it difficult. Lots of great advice in this video esp getting the head in first not having a pause before breathing. Your series is the best butterfly on RUclips the web. Also happy Christmas to all your team
This video really helps me to catch the correct timing when to breathe in and breathe out. I am gonna try this tip in the pool soon! Thank you so much!
excellent information, very illustrative, cheers for this kind of good educational videos, i'll take his form of relaxed butterfly to my next session -keep up the good work-
the most smooth and powerful butterfly movement ever seen. This video is a great help to me and I watch it over and over, engrave in my head and then practice in the pool. I feel my butterfly go longer than before I watch this video. Thanks very much for uploading
Any advice how not to get water inhaled when breathing, I have this problem only with butterfly, with freestyle even big waves do not matter, but swimming butterfly, sometimes I inhale splashed water, possible because of faster breath, not sure, what I am doing wrong there.
I like to breath on every stroke. Doing the butterfly stroke requires so much muscle energy that I like to get as much oxygen as possible. I am over 50. I can't hold my breath like the young twenty somethings.
Sharlene Eng just saying it’s kinda a trade off because most of the time it takes more energy to take a breath because im sure your technique isn’t perfect . (No ones is if your not a pro.) you might be making it harder to breath because it’s making your hips sink
Hi very handsome guy, You made up perfect training video of butterfly with Alexander, I really appreciate your devotion of teaching for butterfly to whom really want to make their butterfly swimming smooth and efficient. Thank you very much for your amazing knowledge and teaching technique of butterfly! Good job!
Firstly, very good and informative video. Thank you very much. Looking forward to such in depth videos for the other 3 strokes, starts and turns. You mentioned at 6:48 that a breath is taken while returning the hands forward. However, shouldn't a breath be taken at the end of the pull? This also seems like what the swimmer is doing when the video is played in slow motion.
Thank you! Yes, breathing starts when swimmer finishes the arm stroke and performed during arm recovery. Important thing, to finish taking breath before hands enter the water in front
This isn't bad...I posted a rant video on my channel (which isn't popular) lol but if there's one thing I know, it's teaching. And since I'm a swimming teacher I know what I'm talking about. This is the closest I've seen that someone actually has a clue so well done! I'm convinced most of the butterfly drills are completely useless.
How often do you like to breathe: Every stroke, every 2nd or every 3rd?

Good job!
But how to swim swim at our back shown in your other video
such a difficult stroke to swim!
The only hard thing about it is learning how to breathe, I don't find it difficult otherwise

Can you make a video on how to pace your events (especially the butterfly ones)please
sahilppanjwani thanks for the comment. Do you mean different pace for swimming, for example, for 50 m, 100 m, 200 m?
@@SwimUp yes
sahilppanjwani okay, I will try to make the video!
Very good - however it would be better if the video could be paused as the parts of the body under discussion are shown in detail,
Nice vedio keep up
